Homewell Solar Charging Bluetooth Rock Speakers

Homewell solar powered multi-connect rock speaker is a Bluetooth speaker that includes solar charging technology. It comes with 1 solar Bluetooth speaker and 1 USB charging cable. You can connect up to 8 satellite speakers to the main speaker.

Setting Up and Operating One Speaker

  1. Toggle the switch on the back of the rock speaker to the left.
  2. Turn on the speaker by pressing and holding the power button on the back of the speaker for 3 seconds. The Speaker will say Power on and the Bluetooth LED indicator light will flash blue.
  3. Go to Bluetooth settings on your phone or device and pair with Homewell Speaker. When the speaker is successfully paired, the speaker will say Connected and the Bluetooth indicator light will have a steady blue light.
  4. Play your favorite music and enjoy.

Note: If you would like to pair the speaker to a different device, you must unpair the speaker from the currently paired device if that device is within connection distance. The pairing range is about 30+ feet depending on obstructions and environmental factors. You can purchase and pair additional Homewell multi-connect speakers if desired.

Setting Up and Operating Multiple Speakers

  1. Toggle the switch on the back of the rock speaker to the left in the M position to set it as the main speaker.
  2. Turn on the speaker by pressing and holding the power button on the back of the speaker for 3 seconds. The Speaker will say Power on and the Bluetooth LED indicator light will flash blue.
  3. Toggle the switch on the back of the Satellite rock speaker(s) to the right in the S position.
  4. Turn on the satellite speaker by pressing and holding the power button on the back of the speaker for 3 seconds. The Speaker will say Power on and the Bluetooth LED indicator light will flash blue.
  5. Double click the Pairing button on the back of the Main Speaker. The Main Speaker will then make a sound and the Bluetooth LED indicator light will flash blue and green together.
  6. Then on the Satellite Speaker(s), double click the Pairing button until it makes a sound. It will become available to pair with the main speaker when the light starts to flash green. When it successfully pairs with the Main it will say Connected and the light will turn a solid green.
  7. To pair more speakers repeat the previous step for each additional satellite speaker.
  8. Go to Bluetooth settings on your phone or device and pair with Homewell Speaker. When the speaker is successfully paired, the main speaker will say Connected and the Bluetooth indicator light will have a steady blue light and a flashing green light.
  9. You can now enjoy your favorite music through all the speakers.

Note: If you want to reset the main and satellite speakers, you can do so by first clearing the pairing data. While the speaker is on press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds on all applicable speakers until the light flashes blue. Then turn the speakers off. You can now start again from the beginning.

fig-2There can only be 1 main speaker, the rest will be satellite speakers. You can connect up to 8 satellite speakers to the main speaker. Before starting make sure all speakers are turned off.

  • Toggle the switch on the back of the rock speaker to the left in the M position to set it as the main speaker.
  • Turn on the speaker by pressing and holding the power button on the back of the speaker for 3 seconds. The Speaker will say “Power on” and the Bluetooth LED indicator light will flash blue.
  • toggle the switch on the back of the Satellite rock speaker(s) to the right in the S position.
  • Turn on the satellite speaker by pressing and holding the power button on the back of the speaker for 3 seconds. The Speaker will say “Power on” and the Bluetooth LED indicator light will flash blue.
  • Double click the Pairing button on the back of the Main Speaker. The Main Speaker will then make a sound and the Bluetooth LED indicator light will flash blue and green together.
  • Then on the Satellite Speaker(s), double click the Pairing button until it makes a sound. It will become available to pair with the main speaker when the light starts to flash green. When it successfully pairs with the Main it will say “Connected” and the light will turn a solid green.
  • To pair more speakers repeat the previous step for each additional satellite speaker.
  • Go to Bluetooth settings on your phone or device and pair with “Homewell Speaker.” When the speaker is successfully paired, the main speaker will say “Connected” and the Bluetooth indicator light will have a steady blue light and a flashing green light.
  • You can now enjoy your favorite music through all the speakers.

Note:

  • If you want to reset the main and satellite speakers you can do so by first clearing the pairing data. While the speaker is on press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds on all applicable speakers until the light flashes blue. Then turn the speakers off. You can now start again from the beginning.
  • The pairing range is about 30+ feet depending on obstructions and environmental factors. If you notice a speaker consistently cuts in and out it is probably out of range.
  • The blue light indicates the pairing of the main speaker to your Bluetooth device. The green light indicates the pairing of the main speaker to each satellite. Solid means connected and flashing means it’s ready to connect.

Battery Charging

Charging the speaker with USB A Cable
Charging the speaker with USB Cable Plug the small end of the Micro USB Charging Cable into the Micro USB port on the back of the speaker. Connect the larger end of the Micro USB Charging Cable into your computer or other USB charging device. Recommended charge time with USB cable is about 5 – 6 hours. When the speaker is charging, the charging indicator light will light up RED, when it is fully charged the charging indicator will turn GREEN. Remove the Micro USB Charging Cable from the speaker after charging is completed.

Charging the speaker with the solar panel
Allow the solar speaker to receive a full day of sunlight to fully charge the battery prior to first use. Place the solar speaker in a spot that will receive the maximum amount of sunlight during the day. Position the solar panel of the speaker to receive at least 3-4 hours of direct sunlight.

Note: The solar panel should be cleaned periodically with a damp cloth to help maintain optimal performance. Do not use any cleaners with chemicals, solvents, or harsh abrasives  Charge times may vary depending on solar conditions.

Battery replacement

If you notice the battery performance is significantly reduced you have the option to replace it. Unscrew the cover from the control box on the back of the speaker and remove the battery. Replace with a new standard 18650 Lithium ion, 2000 mah 3.7 V rechargeable battery. Screw the cover back on with all six screws.

Note:

  • Dispose of the battery in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • When storing the unit for an extended period of time you may remove the battery to extend its life.
  • In order to preserve battery life, we recommend bringing the speaker inside your home during the winter. Temperatures below -4°F (-20℃) will reduce the battery life.

WHAT IS COVERED
The manufacturer warrants this product to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year fromthe date of purchase. This warranty only applies to the original consumer purchaser and only to products used in normal use and service. The manufacturer’s only obligation and your exclusive remedy, is the repair or replacement of the product at the manufacturer’s discretion provided that the product has not been damaged through misuse, abuse, accident, modification, alternation, neglect, or mishandling. Batteries supplied with this product are not included in this warranty. This warranty shall not apply to the finish on any portion of the product, such as surface and/or weathering, as this is considered normal wear and tear.
