NORDIC HOME FT-550 2-In-1 Tower Fan and Air Circulator

Product Information

The FT-550 is an electric fan that can be operated through a control panel or remote control. It has a detachable upper body, air outlet, light indicators, control switches, air inlet, and a base. The fan has 6 pegs on the upper body that align with 6 pegs holes on the main body. It has a swing button for oscillation, a timer, mode, speed, and on/off buttons. The fan operates on 220-240V; 50 Hz, and 40W power, and comes with a 3-year warranty.

Assembly

Assembly of Base:

  1. Remove all parts from the packing.
  2. Turn the main body upside down and remove the base nut on the bottom adaptor of the main body.
  3. Pull the power cord through the center hole of the base.
  4. Attach the base to the main body by fastening the base nut.
  5. Position the power into its routing slot on the base.
  6. Turn the main body right side up and place it on a dry and level surface.

Assembly of Upper Body:

  1. Align 6 pegs on the upper body with 6 pegs holes on the main body.
  2. Push the upper body toward the control panel until they are joined together tightly.

Operating Instructions

Plug the fan into a power socket, and it will be in standby mode. The appliance can be operated by pressing the on button on the control panel or by using the remote control. The remote control functions are the same as the control panel on the fan. Follow the same instructions above to operate the fan remotely.

Maintenance and Cleaning

If the fan has failed and needs service, contact qualified personnel.

  3. This device can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with disabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are kept under supervision or given instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and that they understand the risks. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.
  4. To ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
  5. Unplug from main outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  6. Do not use this fan outdoors or in wet rooms, such as the bathroom or laundry room. Never locate product where it may fall into a bathtub, laundry, swimming pool or other water containers.
  7. Never insert fingers, pencils or any other object through the protective blade guard when fan is running.
  8. Disconnect the fan when moving from one place to another.
  9. Be sure that the fan is on a stable surface when you use it to avoid tipping it over.
  10. If the fan tips over during operation, turn the unit off and unplug it from the mains immediately.
  11. Do not use the fan in the window, the rain can create an electrical hazard.
  12. Only for domestic use.
  13. Do not use this circulator near curtains, plants, window treatment or where other objects can become caught in the blades.
  14. Never insert foreign objects, such as fingers, pencil etc. through the grills when the fan is running.
  15. Keep new and used batteries in the remote control away from children. DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERIES IN FIRE.

Assembly of base

  1. Remove all parts from the packing.

CONTROL PANEL

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Plug into a power socket, the appliance will be in standby mode. The appliance may be operated by the press button “On” on the control panel or by the supplied remote control.

  1. Press the On/Off button to power on, the appliance operates in default low fan speed. Press again to power off.
  2. Press the SPEED button to select desired speed Low-MediumHigh in turn. LED indicator lights will display the corresponding wind speed.
  3. Press the TIMER button to activate the timer, the time can be set from 0.5 to 7.5 hours. LED indicator lights will display the corresponding set time. The fan will stop automatically after the set time has expired.
  4. Pressing the MODE button on the control panel will cycle the fan through different patterns of wind modes(normal/natural/sleep).
  5. Press the SWING button to activate the oscillation function for widespread air distribution. Press again to stop the oscillation function.
  6. Always unplug the fan from the power socket when not in use or if it will be left unattended.

REMOTE CONTROL

  1. The remote control includes one CR2025 battery. The battery comes pre-installed.
  2. Pull the plastic insulation film out from the backside of the remote control before first use.
  3. The remote-control functions are the same as the control panel on the fan. Follow the same instructions above to operate the fan remotely.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

If the fan has failed and needs service, contact qualified personnel.

  1. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

  2. To keep the fan clean, the outer shell may be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. You may use a mild detergent if necessary. After cleaning, dry the unit with a soft cloth.
    CAUTION: DO NOT let the liquid enter the fan.

  3. The remote control’s functions are the same as the control panel on the fan. Follow the operating instructions to operate the fan from the remote control.

  4. DO NOT immerse the fan in water.

  5. Wait until the unit is completely dry before use.

  6. Store the circulator in a cool, dry location when not in use.
