Product Information CORE Control System

The CORE Control System is a state-of-the-art product designed to provide seamless integration, customization, and monitoring of your organization’s equipment. It comes equipped with built-in BACnet IP and MS/TP support, new objects and sensor capability, and supports existing objects from the legacy Lennox Control devices. The CORE Unit Controller features 16 new BACnet objects, including new network control objects for humidity and outdoor air, system status objects, and prognostic and diagnostic alarms. The Unit Controller supports monitor-only, room sensor, and network  thermostat control, allowing you to choose how you want your systemto operate.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Contact your Lennox Sales Representative to learn more about the CORE Control System.
  2. Determine if the CORE Control System is compatible with your organization’s equipment. The Unit Controller supports MS/TP and legacy control objects, which means it can be installed directly onto most Energence and L-Series control frameworks with little modified programming or integration work required.
  3. Decide on the type of control you want for your system – monitor-only, room sensor, or network thermostat control.
  4. If you choose the CORE Control System, follow the installation instructions provided with the product to set up the BACnet IP and MS/TP support.
  5. Integrate the new objects and sensor capability into your system to provide additional controls customization and monitoring to help optimize your organization’s equipment.
  6. Use the new network control objects for humidity and outdoor air to ensure occupant comfort.
  7. Take advantage of the system status objects and prognostic and diagnostic alarms to enable data-driven asset management and lower operating costs.

BACNET IP & MS/TP STANDARD

The Lennox® CORE Unit Controller can connect to BACnet IP or MS/TP systems, without any additional hardware or accessories, saving costs and customization across large organizations. The CORE Unit Controller features a 2 port IP switch, meaning units can be daisy chained unit to unit, eliminating the cost and complexity of traditional star networks. The Unit Controller is designed to security standard NIST-140-2 for peace of mind integrating into a building network. The Unit Controller can be easily commissioned and integrated using the Lennox® CORE Service App (available for iOS and Android).

BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY

The Unit Controller supports monitor-only, room sensor, and network thermostat control, allowing you to choose how you want your system to operate.
