A O Smith AO-MF-ADV Advanced Direct Connect Water Filter Installation Guide

Installation
STEP 1 Prepare for Intallation
- Turn off COLD water supply.
- Unbox filter cartridge replacement and remove plastic.
STEP 2 Remove Filter Cartridge
Remove the old cartridge from the system head. Rotate the cartridge to the left until it unlocks, pull down and discard.
STEP 3 Insert Filter Cartridge
Ensure all connection points are aligned and attach new cartridge to the
system head by pushing in and turning the cartridge to the right until it
locks into place.
Ensure all connections are aligned and cartridge is securely attached prior to
turning on water supply
STEP 4 Turn on Cold Water
Turn on the COLD water supply to pressurize the system and check for leaks.
STEP 5 Flush System
Turn on kitchen faucet and leave water running to flush system for 15 minutes
or until water is clear of carbon fines. While system is flushing, check for
leaks. Once system is flushed, turn off kitchen faucet.
Note: Do not drink flushed water.
