Z690A-SILVER Motherboard
The Z690A-SILVER motherboard supports 12th/13th generation Intel Core
i9/i7/i5/i3 processors and Intel Pentium processors/Intel Celeron processors
in the LGA1700 package. The motherboard also supports PCI-E 3.0 x4 (32Gb/s) &
SATA lll (6Gb/s) SSD, Intel Rapid Storage Technology, and Intel Optane
Technology. It features Realtek RTL8125B LAN, ALC1220 audio codec, and USB 3.2
(Gen2) Type-C port. The motherboard comes with 8 SATA III connectors, 1
M.2 (E Key) socket, and supports Wi-Fi & OSTAR H/W monitoring bi-dimension.
Product Usage Instructions
Before using the Z690A-SILVER motherboard, it is recommended to check the CPU support list available at www.biostar.com.tw for compatibility with your processor.
CPU Support: The motherboard supports 12th/13th generation Intel Core i9/i7/i5/i3 processors and Intel Pentium processors/Intel Celeron processors in the LGA1700 package.
Integrated Video: The motherboard supports DX12 and HDCP. The integrated video support varies based on the CPU model.
Storage: The motherboard supports PCI-E 3.0 x4 (32Gb/s) & SATA lll (6Gb/s) SSD, Intel Rapid Storage Technology, and Intel Optane Technology. When using SATA SSD module on M.2 slot(M2_PCIEG3_32_SATA_1), the SATA_8 connector will be disabled. When using PCIE SSD module on M.2 slot(M2_PCIEG4_64G_2), the PCIEG4X4 Slot will be disabled.
LAN & Audio Codec: The motherboard features Realtek RTL8125B LAN and ALC1220 audio codec. The LAN supports S10/100/1000/2500 Mb/s auto negotiation, Half / Full duplex capability. The audio codec supports 7.1 Channels, High Definition Audio, Hi-Fi(Front).
USB: The motherboard features USB 3.2 (Gen2) Type-C port (1 on rear I/O and 1 via internal header), 5 x USB 3.2 (Gen2) ports (5 on rear I/Os), 2 x USB 3.2 (Gen1) ports (2 via internal header), and 6 x USB 2.0 ports (2 on rear I/Os and 4 via internal header).
Expansion Slot: The motherboard features 2 x PCIe 3.0 x1 Slot, 1 x PCIe 5.0 x16 Slot (x16 mode), and 1 x PCIe 4.0 x16 Slot (x4 mode).
Rear I/O: The rear I/O of the motherboard includes 2 x WIFI Antenna Ports, 1 x PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse Port, 1 x HDMI Port (HDMI2.0), 1 x DP Port, 1 x DVI-D Port, 1 x USB 3.2 (Gen2) Type-C Port, 5 x USB 3.2 (Gen2) Ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x LAN port, and 3 x Audio Jack.
Internal I/O: The internal I/O of the motherboard includes 8 x SATA III Connectors (6Gb/s) and 1 x M.2 (E Key) Socket that supports 2230 type Wi-Fi & OSTAR H/W monitoring bi-dimension.
H/W Monitoring: The motherboard supports CPU/System Temperature Monitoring, CPU/System Fan Monitoring, Smart/Manual CPU Fan Control, and System Voltage Monitoring.
OS Support: The motherboard supports Windows 10 (64bit) / 11 (64bit). Biostar reserves the right to add or remove support for any OS with or without notice.
Bundle Software: The motherboard comes with Racing GT Utility and BullGuard.
Accessories: The motherboard comes with 4 x SATA Cable, 1 x I/O Shield, 1 x DVD Driver, and 1 x User Manual.

Audio+ Hi-Fi: The motherboard features a combination of exclusive
hardware & software design that includes ground-isolation circuit design, an
independent audio power, and a built-on-board amplifier. The built-in
amplifier can
drive major high-end headphones with over 100dB loads and offer wide
bandwidth, low noise, high slew rate, and low distortion audio source from
front panel I/O. The motherboard also comes with a free bundle utility
MultiChannel Calibration that allows you to auto-detect your location and
easily adjust the volume of every speaker to make a well-balanced surround
sound.
Hi-Fi Ground: BIOSTAR Hi-Fi Ground (Golden Line) is a noise-blocking multi-layer PCB design that isolates analog audio signals from digital sources. The unique PCB layout is ideal for exceptional clarity and high fidelity sound.
