AFETY PRECAUTIONS ON SERVICING
Please follow these warnings when to undertake the following when servicing a
dehumidifier with R290.
Checks to the area
Prior to beginning work on systems containing flammable refrigerants, safety
checks are necessary to ensure that the risk of ignition is minimized. For
repair to the refrigerating system, the following precautions shall be
complied with prior to conducting work on the system.
Work procedure
Work shall be undertaken under a controlled procedure so as to minimize the
risk of a flammable gas or vapor being present while the work is being
performed.
General work area
All maintenance staff and others working in the local area shall be instructed
on the nature of work being carried out. Work in confined spaces shall be
avoided. The area around the workspace shall be sectioned off. Ensure that the
conditions within the area have been made safe by control of flammable
material.
Checking for presence of refrigerant
The area shall be checked with an appropriate refrigerant detector prior to
and during work, to ensure the technician is aware of potentially flammable
atmospheres. Ensure that the leak detection equipment being used is suitable
for use with flammable refrigerants, i.e. no sparking, adequately sealed or
intrinsically safe.
Presence of fire extinguisher
If any hot work is to be conducted on the refrigeration equipment or any
associated parts, appropriate fire extinguishing equipment shall be available
to hand. Have a dry powder or CO2 fire extinguisher adjacent to the charging
area.
No ignition sources
No person carrying out work in relation to a refrigeration system which
involves exposing any pipe work that contains or has contained flammable
refrigerant shall use any sources of ignition in such a manner that it may
lead to the risk of fire or explosion. All possible ignition sources,
including cigarette smoking, should be kept sufficiently far away from the
site of installation, repairing, removing and disposal, during which flammable
refrigerant can possibly be released to the surrounding space. Prior to work
taking place, the area around the equipment is to be surveyed to make sure
that there are no flammable hazards or ignition risks. “No Smoking” signs
shall be displayed.
Ventilated area
Ensure that the area is in the open or that it is adequately ventilated before
breaking into the system or conducting any hot work. A degree of ventilation
shall continue during the period that the work is carried out. The ventilation
should safely disperse any released refrigerant and preferably expel it
externally into the atmosphere.
Checks to the refrigeration equipment
Where electrical components are being changed, they shall be fit for the
purpose and to the correct specification. At all times the manufacturer’s
maintenance and service guidelines shall be followed. If in doubt consult the
manufacturer’s technical department for assistance.
The following checks shall be applied to installations using flammable
refrigerants:
The charge size is in accordance with the room size within which the
refrigerant containing parts are installed;
The ventilation machinery and outlets are operating adequately and are not
obstructed;
If an indirect refrigerating circuit is being used, the secondary circuit
shall be checked for the presence of refrigerant;
Marking to the equipment continues to be visible and legible. Markings and
signs that are illegible shall be corrected;
Refrigeration pipe or components are installed in a position where they are
unlikely to be exposed to any substance which may corrode refrigerant
containing components, unless the components are constructed of materials
which are inherently resistant to being corroded or are suitably protected
against being so corroded.
Checks to electrical devices
Repair and maintenance to electrical components shall include initial safety
checks and component inspection procedures. If a fault exists that could
compromise safety, then no electrical supply shall be connected to the circuit
until it is satisfactorily dealt with. If the fault cannot be corrected
immediately but it is necessary to continue operation, an adequate temporary
solution shall be used. This shall be reported to the owner of the equipment
so all parties are advised.
Initial safety checks shall include:
those capacitors are discharged: this shall be done in a safe manner to avoid
possibility of sparking; that there no live electrical components and wiring
are exposed while charging, recovering or purging the system; that there is
continuity of earth bonding

MODE
Auto mode Auto
The unit is equipped with a modern hygrostat (humidity controller) and
switches off automatically after reaching the desired humidity in order to
save energy. The compressor switches off first and then the fan 30 seconds
later. When the humidity in the room rises again, the dehumidifier switches on
automatically.
When automatic mode is activated, the target humidity can be set between 30%
and 80% in 5% steps using the two arrow keys.
The dehumidifier starts dehumidifying when the room humidity is at least 3%
higher than the set target humidity.
Continuously drying mode ****
In continuous operation, the unit works continuously until the water tank is
full or the dehumidifier is switched off manually.
In this mode, the unit operates at maximum air output to dehumidify the room
air as quickly as possible.
During operation, the current humidity is shown on the display.
TIMER
Press the timer key to start the timer function. Then use the two arrow keys
to set the desired run/start time from 1-24 hours. If the timer is activated,
this is indicated by the corresponding LED.
If you activate the timer during operation, the appliance switches off after
the set time.
If you activate the timer while the unit is in standby mode, the unit will
start automatically after the set time has elapsed.

MAINTENANCE
DRAINAGE
There are two ways of removal collected water produced by the unit.
- Manual draining: Empty water tank by manual.
- Continuous draining: Use gravity to drain condensate water by attaching a drain hose.
EMPTYING THE WATER TANK
The water tank built in unit will fill up and shut the unit down once it is
full. It will run again once you empty the water tank and installed properly.
- When the tank is full, the unit will make a buzzing sound, and the “Water Full” light will turn on.
- Press the POWER button to turn off the unit.
- Pull on the water tank and simply slide out of the body of the dehumidifier.
- Empty the water into an area with a drain or outside.
- Clean the inside of the tank as well as the outside.
- Replace the empty tank back into the unit.
- Press the POWER button to resume operating.
- If the “Water Full” light does not extinguish, check that the float is correctly in place.
WARNING!
- Do not discard the magnets and plastic rivets in the tank. Otherwise, the dehumidifier cannot be started, or the machine will not automatically stop working when the water tank is full, and the condensed water overflow will damage the floor of the room.
- Please make sure to clean the condensed water in the tank and put the tank in the original position.
- If the water tank is dirty, please rinse it with clean water. Avoid using detergents, steel wire balls, chemical dust removers, diesel, benzene, diluents or other solvents. Otherwise, it can damage the tank and cause leaks.
- Put the water tank in its original position. Otherwise, the indicator light will always be red and the machine cannot start working again.
CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE
- Take out the PVC pipe, straighten the drain pipe.
- Insert one end of the drain pipe into the drain outlet at the top of the tank and connect the other end to the bathroom, floor drain, outdoor or bucket like container, defined drain area.
WARNING!
- Please do not block the drain or drain pipe, if blocking phenomenon, condensed water will flow into the tank.
- Please do not bend the drain pipe. The height of the drain pipe should be lower than the outlet.
- The drain pipe must be firmly connected to the outlet.
CLEANING THE AIR FILTER (EVERY TWO WEEKS)
Note: before cleaning and maintaining the machine, please be sure to turn
off the machine and unplug the power to avoid electric shock.
Dust collects on the filter and restricts the airflow. The restricted airflow
reduces the efficiency of the system and if it becomes blocked it can cause
damage to the unit.
The air filter requires regular cleaning. The air filter is removable for easy
cleaning. Do not operate the unit without an air filter, or the evaporator may
be contaminated.
