FAIRING REMOVAL, STREET GLIDE & ULTRA

  1. Remove three outer fairing bolts using a T27 Torx screw driver. The three outer fairing bolts are located below the windshield. Remove the windshield, store it and the screws removed in a safe place for re-installation later. TIP: Reinstalling the center screw after removing the windshield will prevent the outer fairing from falling during the next step. A few turns by hand will be sufficient.
  2. Remove four inner fairing bolts using a T27 Torx screw driver. The four inner fairing bolts are located adjacent to each turn indicator mounting bracket and below/adjacent to each speaker. While straddling the front wheel fender, grasp the outer fairing, remove the center outer fairing bolt from the previous step, then gently pull the fairing apart from the bike. With the fairing slightly pulled away from the bike, disconnect wire harness for the headlamp and any other accessories. Lay the fairing on a protected flat surface to prevent damage.

SPEAKER INSTALLATION, STREET GLIDE & ULTRA

  1. Detach two cable clips from the top edge of the fairing support bracket, adjacent to the outside gauges using a clip pry tool.
  2. Use a mini flat-head screw driver to help disconnecting the harness connectors for the two outside gauges
  3. Detach the cable clip for the cigarette lighter cable using a clip pry tool at the brake side speaker pod & unplug the cigarette lighter.
  4. Disconnect the speaker wire connector for each speaker pod & detach any other cable clips that are attached to each speaker pod using a clip pry tool.
  5. Remove two screws for the upper fairing support bracket to each speaker pod using a 5/32 hex screw driver. Set the screws aside for installation later.
  6. Loosen the two main wire harness tray screws under the head unit using a Phillips screw driver. The main wire harness tray will fall slightly. Set the screws aside for installation later.
  7. Remove three bolts for each speaker pod at the fairing bracket, adjacent to the main wire harness tray, under the head unit. Use a 7/16 socket on small extension or universal joint, or a right angle 3/16 hex key tool. Set the screws aside for installation later.
  8. Remove three bolts attaching each speaker pod to the inner fairing using a 3/16 hex screw driver. Each pod should be loose, set them aside.
  9. Remove three screws attaching each speaker grill to the inner fairing using a T25 Torx screw driver. Set the screws aside for use later.
  10. Align & attach a metal PrecisionPower Street Glide grill to either side of the inner fairing using the previously removed screws & a T25 Torx screw driver.
  11. Remove four screws holding the speaker to each speaker pod using a T25 Torx screw driver. Set the screws aside for installation later.
  12. Remove the speaker from the speaker pod & detach the speaker wire terminals.
  13. Trim a small locator pin on the face of each speaker pod using a utility knife.
  14. Place a step filter into each speaker pod and connect the speaker wire terminals to the corresponding male terminals of the step filter.
  15. Connect the female connectors of the step filter to the corresponding terminals of the PrecisionPower speaker.
  16. Attach each speaker to the speaker pod with the four screws removed in step 11, using a T25 Torx screw driver.
  17. Align each speaker pod back in the fairing, & attach it to the inner fairing with the three bolts removed in step 8, using a 3/16 hex screw driver.
  18. Attach each speaker pod to the fairing bracket with the bolts removed in step 7, using a 7/16 socket on small extension or universal joint, or a right angle 3/16 hex key tool.
  19. Attach the main wire harness tray with the screws removed in step 6, using a Phillips screw driver.
  20. Secure each speaker pods to the upper fairing support bracket with the two screws removed in step 5, using a 5/32 hex screw driver
  21. Reconnect the speaker wire connectors to each speaker pod & reattach any cable clips detached in step 4.
  22. Reconnect the cigarette lighter connector to the cigarette lighter & reattach its cable clip removed in step 3 to the brake side speaker pod.
  23. Reconnect the wire harness connectors for each outside gauge removed in step 2.
  24. Reattach two cable clips to the upper fairing support bracket detached in step 1.

FAIRING INSTALLATION, STREET GLIDE & ULTRA

  1. While holding the outer fairing, straddle the front wheel fender.
    Reconnect wire harness for the headlamp and any other accessories previously disconnected. Gently reset the outer fairing, paying attention to any cables that need to be tucked away inside. Reinstall the center outer fairing bolt removed previously.

  2. Reinstall the four inner fairing bolts removed previously using a T27 Torx screw driver. The four inner fairing bolts are located adjacent to each turn indicator mounting bracket and below/adjacent to each speaker.   3. Reset the windshield and reinstall the three outer fairing bolts removed previously using a T27 Torx screw driver. The three outer fairing bolts are located below the windshield. PrecisionPower HD14.65 6.5 Inch Speakers For 2014+ Harley Davidson Touring Series Motorcycles - Figure1

SPEAKER INSTALLATION, ROAD GLIDE

  1. Remove each speaker grill by wedging a plastic/nylon pry tool between the inner fairing and grill edge, popping it outward.
  2. Remove four screws holding the speaker to each speaker pod using a T25 Torx screw driver. Set the screws aside for installation later.
  3. Remove the speaker from the speaker pod & detach the speaker wire terminals.
  4. Trim a small alignment pin on the face of each speaker pod using a utility knife.
  5. Place a step filter into each speaker pod and connect the speaker wire terminals to the corresponding male terminals of the step filter.
  6. Connect the female connectors of the step filter to the corresponding terminals of the PrecisionPower speaker.
  7. Attach each speaker to the speaker pod with the four screws removed in step 1, using a T25 Torx screw driver.
  8.  Snap in a corresponding metal PrecisionPower Road Glide grill to either side of the inner fairing.
