Product Information
The SleepCarrier is a versatile product that serves four functions in one. It can be used as a Babynest, Carry Cot, Baby Carrier, and Play Mat. The goal of the product is to empower parents to choose their parenting style and enjoy an active lifestyle while also having the option to spend leisure time at home.
SleepCarrier® is a smarter babynest that makes it easy for your baby to tag along in your everyday life. Thousands of babies have safely slept in the SleepCarrier® since the original launch in 2014.

General Instructions
It is important to read the user manual carefully and keep it for future
reference. When using the SleepCarrier as a carry cot, ensure that the short
ends are up and secured with cord locks. Before washing the product, remove
the stabilizing board. Wash separately and dry flat. All materials have been
tested and are free of harmful substances.
Product Usage Instructions
Follow the steps below to use the SleepCarrier as a baby carrier:
- Locate and open the zipper on the side.
- Pull out the sling from the opened zipper.
- Place the sling across your back and on the top of your left shoulder.
- Buckle the big buckle on the front. Pull the elastic safety loop on top of the buckle.
- Buckle the smaller buckle located near your body on the left side.
- Adjust the fit according to your preferences.
When using the SleepCarrier as a carrycot, place it between the adult’s pillows. Follow the same washing instructions as mentioned in the product information section.
FUNCTIONS
HOW TO USE THE SLEEPCARRIER® AS A CARRIER
Follow the steps below, for pictures see the last page of this user manual.
- Locate and open the zipper on the side.
- Pull out the sling from the opened zipper.
- Place the sling across your back and on the top of your left shoulder.
- Buckle the big buckle on the front. Pull the elastic safety loop on top of the buckle.
- Buckle the smaller buckle located near your body on the left side.
- Adjust the fit according to your preferences.
CARRY COT
- When the SleepCarrier® is used as a carry cot the short ends should be up and secured with the cord locks.
- Use both handles while lifting.
BABYNEST
- When co-sleeping, place the SleepCarrier® high up by the pillows of the adults.
- Take precaution so that the baby’s face is never covered.
PLAY-MAT
- When the SleepCarrier® is used as a play mat the short ends should be completely extended creating a flat surface for the child.
- Do not lift the SleepCarrier® when the child is lying on the SleepCarrier® with extended short ends.
WASHING
- Dry flat.
- Remove the stabilizing board before washing.
- Wash separately.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Use only on a firm, horizontal and dry surface.
- Only use spare parts supplied or approved by Najell AB.
- Be aware of the risks with open fire and other sources of direct heat such as radiators, gas flames etcetera in direct contact to the SleepCarrier®.
- The handles and the bottom should be inspected regularly for signs of damage and wear.
- Follow the assembly and user instruction in this manual for a correct and safe use of the SleepCarrier®.
- Always use the stabilizing board in bottom except for when it is being washed.
- Do not place more than one child in SleepCarrier® at the same time.
- You are responsible for your child’s safety.
- Never leave children that can crawl or roll over unattended.
- Always use SleepCarrier® on a flat surface with safe distance from height differences such as the edge of a bed.
- Note that the head of the child in the carry cot should never be lower than the body of the child.
- The SleepCarrier® has a mattress in bottom, do not use an extra mattress on top of the existing mattress.
- The SleepCarrier® is intended for a child from 0 months age.
- Maximum weight of the child for which the SleepCarrier® is intended for is 9 kg.
- Monitor your child when using the SleepCarrier® so that the baby is securely placed at all times.
- For low birth-weight babies and children with medical conditions, seek advice from a health professional.
- Stop using the carrier if parts are missing or damaged.
- When used as a carrier fasten and adjust the sling properly to prevent the child falling out.
- Only use the SleepCarrier® carrying on the front of your body.
- Make sure that the baby has sufficient space for breathing in the SleepCarrier®.
- Check that all buckles are securely fastened before using the SleepCarrier®.
WARNING
- This product is suitable only for a child who cannot sit up unaided, roll over and cannot push itself up on its hands and knees. Maximum weight of the child: 9 kg.
- Do not use if any part of the carry cot is broken, torn or missing.
- Do not leave flexible carrying handles inside the carry cot.
- Do not leave your child unattended in the sleepcarrier.
- Never use this product on a stand.
- Only use on a firm, horizontal level and dry surface.
- Do not let other children play unattended near the carry cot.
- Your balance may be adversely affected by your movement and that of your child.
- Take care when bending or leaning forward or sideways.
- The SleepCarrier® is not suitable for use during sporting activities.
- The SleepCarrier® has to be used by adults only.
- Use the SleepCarrier® only when walking, sitting or standing.
- Do not use the SleepCarrier® as a car seat.
- Avoid dressing your child too warmly.
- Never lie down with your child in the SleepCarrier® while in use with the sling.
- Remember to bend at the knees NOT the waist when carrying with the sling.
