- Only use the iron for its intended use—it is designed for household use only.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
- Always turn the iron OFF before plugging into or unplugging from the electrical outlet.
- Never pull on the cord to unplug; instead, grasp the plug and pull on it to remove from outlet..
- Do not let the cord touch hot surfaces.
- Always disconnect iron from electrical outlet before filling iron with water, emptying iron from water, or when iron is not in use
- Do not use the iron if the cord or the appliance itself shows visible damage, or if the appliance has been dropped or is leaking.
- If the iron seems damaged or malfunctions, take it to a qualified serviceman for examination and repair. Do not disassemble yourself as incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock.
- Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam. Use caution when turning the iron upside down—there may be hot water in the water tank.
- Never release steam facing people.
- To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate the iron on the same circuit with another high wattage appliance.
- If it is absolutely necessary to use an extension cord, a cord with an ampere rating equal to or greater than the maximum rating of the iron shall be used. Using a cord rated for less amperage can result in a risk of fire or electric shock due to overheating. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled on or tripped over.
- The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
- The iron must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
- Close supervision is required for any appliance used near children. Do not leave the iron unattended while it is plugged into the outlet or when it is on an ironing board.
