The ‘BA’ air cleaner features a high flow billet aluminum velocity stack with
optimal opening & internal (ID) taper down to a direct match of the throttle
body. The velocity stack is wrapped in a high-flow washable air filter &
encased with a one-piece billet cage. The backing plate is setup with
optimized breather vent locations & uses the standard cylinder head breathers.
Impressive Horsepower & Torque gains on any engine and exceptional gains seen
on engines running modified & ported cylinder heads & intakes with larger
throttle bodies.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Use the proper tools for installation. Clean the intake with a clean rag to ensure it is free of debris.
- Clean breather hole surfaces. Lube inner and outer breather O-rings and install with O-ring lube.
- If the throttle body bracket is removed, use included spacers. If the bracket is present (preferred), no need to use the included spacers. Install breather bolts with red Loctite on threads & O-ring lube on underhead flanges. Alternately tighten and torque breather bolts. Final torque to 22-24 ft/lbs.
NOTE: While tightening breather bolts, it is advised to insert 2 or more velocity stack bolts to help center the backing plate.
INSTALLING VELOCITY STACK ONLY:
- Apply red loctite to the velocity stack bolt threads. Attached velocity stack gasket and insert bolts through the bolt holes. Tighten and torque bolts evenly to a final torque of 72 in/lbs.
- On the inside of the filter cage, see “S” for Softail & “T” for Touring models. Align this bolt hole to the top left bolt hole of the backing plate, this will clock the cage and logo properly. Install velocity stack, gaskets and bolts.
- Apply red Loctite to the velocity stack bolt threads. Alternately tighten and torque the 1/4”-20 velocity stack bolts to a final torque of 72 in/lbs. Lube both bases of the air filter to seal filter to cage & cover. Insert air filter into cage.
- Apply red Loctite to the 10-32 cover bolt threads. Alternately tighten and torque to 30 in/lbs.

– DOES NOT COVER PARTS THAT HAVE FAILED DUE TO IMPROPER INSTALLATION,
MAINTENANCE, EXCESSIVE CRANKSHAFT RUNOUT, OR MISUSE. – DOES NOT COVER ANY
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE RESULTING FROM A FAILURE OF A FEELING PRODUCT.
OPTIONAL 2-YEAR WARRANTY:
– ADDITIONAL YEAR WARRANTY IS ONLY AVAILABLE IF PARTS ARE INSTALLED BY A
PROFESSIONAL INSTALLER.
– THE ONLINE WARRANTY FORM MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE DEALER PRIOR TO BIKE
DELIVERY.
– OIL TANK MUST BE DROPPED & CLEANED.
– CRANKSHAFT RUNOUT MUST BE BELOW 0.005”
