FEULING 3250 Cylinder Head Breathers
Product Information
The Feuling cylinder head breathers are designed for M-Eight engines in
Touring ’17-’22 Softail ’18-’22 models. The part number for this product is
3250. These cylinder head breathers come with a standard 1-year warranty, with
an optional 2-year warranty. The warranty covers any manufacturing defects,
provided that the product is installed by a professional. The warranty does
not cover parts that have failed due to improper installation or misuse. The
online warranty form must be completed by the dealer prior to bike delivery
for the warranty to be valid. In case of a failure of a
Feuling product, the oil tank must be dropped and cleaned, and the crankshaft
runout must be below 0.005.
Product Usage Instructions
- Refer to the factory service manual for your model and year of engine, for the proper removal of existing cylinder head breathers.
- Clean and inspect each new Feuling cylinder head breather housing and component before installation.
- Clean and inspect the mounting surfaces, threads, and bores.
- Assemble the new Feuling cylinder head breathers by installing the following components:
- Lower perforated disc (smaller) into breather body. Make sure disc is flat and fully in place inside housing.
- Install filter element into breather body. Fully tuck in edges of filter elements so there is no excess material showing.
- Ensure umbrella valve seals over breather body surface. Install umbrella valve and disc on top of filter element.
- Hand tighten breather cover with button head screw. Center breather cover and adjust breather housing and cover for clearance before final torqueing the button head screw.
- Lube O-rings and cylinder head bore with engine oil, Install breather assembly into cylinder head. Make sure double O-ring nipple is fully seated into head breather cavity.
- Lube nipple O-rings and install assembly into cylinder head.
- Install ARP fastener with 263 Loctite. Final torque both bolts once breather is fully inserted and centered into cylinder head cavity.
- Finally, lube and install 1/4-20 x 1 3/4in ARP bolt & torque to 90-120 in/lbs.
CYLINDER HEAD BREATHERS FOR M-EIGHT
FEULING Cylinder head breathers for Milwaukee Eight engines. Machined from
billet 6061 aluminum with square surfaces, promoting excellent umbrella valve
sealing, longer main breather exit nipples with dual O-rings to promote better
breather system sealing. Properly sized breather inlets and location for
optimum engine breathing. Unique design maximizes breather volume and allows
for easy serviceability. Breather bodies have 5 drain
ports located on the inside floor, ports are chamfered on ID to allow easy
drainage yet squared off on exits to deter filling from splash oil.
CAUTION:
Removal of the rocker arms and or pushrods with the valve train loaded can
damage rocker arms, push rods, bushings and or campmate. Rotate engine to TDC
of compression stroke on the servicing cylinder.
INSTRUCTIONS

Refer to the correct factory service manual for your model and year of engine, for removal of existing cylinder head breathers.

Clean and inspect each new Feuling cylinder head breather housings and components.

Clean and inspect mounting surfaces, threads and bores.

Assemble the new Feuling cylinder head breathers Install:

Lower discs
-
Filter element
-
Top disc and umbrella valve
-
Top aluminum cover
-
Use loctite on threads of new hardware, use moly lube/engine assembly/oil on underheard bolt flanges and nipple orings

Clean and inspect breathers and components.
Clean & inspect new Feuling components for assembly
Install lower perforated disc (smaller) into breather body.
Make sure disc is flat and fully in place inside housing

Assemble cylinder head breathers: Lower disc, Filter element, Upper disc, Umbrella valve, Top cover and Hardware.
Install filter element into breather body. Fully tuck in edges of filter elements so there is no excess material showing.
Install umbrella valve and disc on top of filter element.
Ensure umbrella valve seals over breather body surface.

Hand tighten breather cover with button head screw.
Note: Center breather cover and final torque button head after install, adjust breather housing and cover for clearance.
Install cover onto breather body. Apply 263 Loctite onto button head fastener before threading into cover

Lube O-rings and cylinder head bore with engine oil, Install breather assembly into cylinder head. Make sure double O-ring nipple is fully seated into head breather cavity.
Lube and install 10-24 x 1/2in button head to seat aluminum cover.
Lube nipple O-rings and install assembly into cylinder head

Install ARP fastener with 263 Loctite. Final torque both bolts once breather is fully inserted and centered into cylinder head cavity.
Final torque 10-24 x 1/2in button head to 22-24 in/lbs.
Lube and install 1/4-20 x 1 3/4in ARP bolt & torque to 90-120 in/lbs.
