INCLUDED IN DELIVERY

Check that the exterior of the cardboard delivery packaging is intact and make sure that all contents are present. Before use, ensure that the device and accessories have no visible damage and all packaging material is removed. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES

WARNING

  • The device is only intended for domestic/private use, not for commercial use.
  • This device may be used by children over the age of eight and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely and are fully aware of the consequent risks of use.
  • Children must not play with the device.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.
  • If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be disposed of.
  • When using the device in the bathroom, unplug the mains plug after use as water in the vicinity constitutes a danger, even when the device is switched off.
  • As an additional safety measure, we recommend the installation of a residual-current-operated protective device (RCD=Residual-Current Circuit Devise) with a rated operational current not exceeding 30 mA in the bathroom circuit. Your local electrical specialist can provide you with the relevant information.
  • Never use the device near baths, wash basins, showers or other objects containing water or other liquids – risk of electric shock!
  • Under no circumstances should you open or repair the device yourself, as faultless functionality can no longer be guaranteed thereafter. Failure to adhere to this instruction will void the warranty.

Danger
To avoid damage to health, we strongly advise against using the device in the following situations:

  • Never submerge the device in water or other liquids! Risk of electric shock!
  • If the device should fall into water despite following all safety precautions, immediately pull the mains plug from the socket! Do not reach into the water! Risk of electric shock! • Have the device checked by an authorized specialist workshop before using it again! Danger to life due to electric shock!
  • Keep metal objects (such as jewellery) away from the air intake to prevent them from being sucked in – risk of electric shock!
  • Do not insert any objects into the casing! Risk of electric shock!
  • If the device has been dropped or has suffered any other damage, it must no longer be used. Risk of electric shock and risk of injury!
  • If there is visible damage to the device, mains cable/plug or accessories. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address. Risk of electric shock!
  • Do not use extension cables in the bathroom to ensure the mains plug can be accessed quickly in an emergency.
  • Keep packaging material away from children – risk of suffocation!

Warning
To avoid damage to health, please note the following:

  • Do not cover the hair dryer, air blower or air inlet – risk of fire!
  • The protective grille 8 and the air outlet 9 of the hair dryer must be free of fluff, dust and hair that has been sucked in – risk of fire!
  • Do not use the device on synthetic hair – risk of fire!
  • Ensure that no highly flammable liquids are located near the device. Risk of fire!

Notes

  • Only pull the cable from the socket by the mains plug.
  • Remove all packaging material before using the device.
  • Connect the device only to a socket featuring the voltage stated on the type plate.
  • Do not use any additional parts that are not recommended by the manufacturer or offered as accessories.
  • Under no circumstances should you open or repair the device yourself, as faultless Func-tonality can no longer be guaranteed thereafter. Failure to comply will result in voiding of the warranty.
  • In the event of a fault or damage, have the device repaired by a certified specialist workshop.
  • Never leave the device unattended during use.
  • Do not use the device outside.
  • If you pass on the device to someone else, make sure to also pass on these instructions for use.

Intended use
The travel hair dryer must only be used by individuals for drying hair and is for private use only!

  • only to be used for the purpose for which it is designed and in the manner specified in these instructions for use.

Any improper use can be dangerous!

USAGE

Important

  • Set the correct operating voltage (100-120 V or 220-240 V) before using the device for the first time.

Warning

  • Position yourself on a dry, non-conductive surface. Risk of electric shock!
  • Make sure that your hands are dry! There is a risk of electric shock!
  • The professional nozzle 1 and the hair dryer may become very hot depending on the switch setting and period of use – risk of burns and fire!
  • Do not touch the professional nozzle 1 during use as it will heat up. Risk of fire and burns!
  • Place the hair dryer on non-flammable surfaces only. Risk of fire!
  • Ensure that no hair can be directly sucked into the device. Risk of fire!

Important

  • Do not jam the mains cable 5 in drawers or doors, for example.
  • Untangle the mains cable 5 if it is twisted.
  • Do not pull, twist or bend the mains cable 5 and do not pull or route it over/on sharp, pointed objects or hot surfaces. Damaged or tangled mains cables increase the risk of electric shock!

Note
A slight odours initially develops after switching on the device for the first time. This is normal and not harmful to your health. Allow the device to run for three to five minutes. After that you can use the device as normal.
Drying the hair

  • Switch on the travel hair dryer at the sliding switch 7 : 0 Off
    1 Low air flow, warm air
    2 High air flow, hot air

  • You can use the rotating professional nozzle 1 to adjust the direction of the hot air as required.

  • Dry and/or style your hair as desired.

  • The cold level offers the perfect styling finish. It cools down your hair and holds it in place for a better result. You can enable the cold level at any time by holding down the button. As soon as you release the button, the previously selected heat level returns.

  • After each use/at each break, always switch off the travel hair dryer at the sliding switch 7 (setting 0).

  • After each use, pull the mains plug out of the socket.

  • Allow the device to cool down.

  • Do not wind the mains cable around the device!

  • Store the device in a dry place out of the reach of children.

  • The device can be hung on a hook using the hanging eyelet 4 .

Note
For best results with the ion technology, use the hair dryer without an attachment.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning
Important

  • Always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning.
  • Ensure that no water enters the inside of the unit!
  • Do not clean it with any highly flammable liquids!

Note

  • Your device is maintenance-free.
  • Protect the device from dust, dirt and humidity.
  • Do not clean the device in the dishwasher.
  • Do not use any aggressive, caustic, abrasive, or corrosive cleaning products or hard brushes.
  • The casing of the hair dryer and the accessories may be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened with warm water.
  • Before each use, remove any fluff, dust and hair from the air outlet 9 and the protective grille with lint filter 8 using an appropriately sized brush.

DISPOSAL

In the interest of protecting the environment, the unit must not be thrown out with the household waste at the end of its service life. Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recycling point.
Observe the local regulations for material disposal.
Please dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
If you have any queries, please contact the appropriate local authorities.
You can find out about collection points for your old units e.g. from the local municipal government, the local waste disposal company or your dealer.
