Please read carefully and save these instructions. Failure to do so may lead
to electrical shock or fire, which may cause injury or death.
CAUTION
WARNING – RISK OF FIRE: Turn off the main power at the circuit breaker before
installing the fixture, changing lamps, or performing other maintenance in
order to prevent possible shock.
GENERAL
All electrical connections must be in accordance with local, and national
electrical codes.
Prior to installation it is important to follow the following guidelines:
A. Use only the type of tube light specified, with wattage not greater than
specified on the wattage label found on the fixture.
B. Remove all protective plastic film covering from the fixture.

ASSEMBLY
- Remove the channel cover on each side of the fixture body by twisting metal retainer clips and gently pulling them out (Fig. 1, Part A).
- Remove the end caps from the channel. Remove the 4 T8 lamps and put them aside in a safe place.
- Install the lamp holders with black and white wires in the bracket in the middle of the fixture. Install the 4 other lamp holders without wires in the two end cap bracket slots. Re-install the two end caps on the end of the channel. (Fig. 2)
CEILING MOUNT INSTALLATION
- Combine both sides of the J-box cover until you hear a click, screw onto ceiling outlet box.
- Mark the location of each of the four mounting holes from the fixture body onto the ceiling, then attach an anchor (not included) to each of these locations (Fig. 3).
- Mount the fixture to the ceiling with the mounting screws (not provided) (Fig. 3).
HANGING MOUNT INSTALLATION
- Punch out the knockout holes in the corners of the fixture body.
- Insert an S-Hook (not included) into each hole on the end of the fixture.
- Attach a chain (not included) to each S-Hook, then attach each chain to the ceiling via your preferred mounting option (Fig. 4)
NOTE: Due to safety regulations, the fixture and supply wires should not be left exposed when hanging from the ceiling. For up-to-code wiring options, choose from one of the following two steps (hardware not provided).
WIRING WITH CONDUIT WHIP
NOTE: Use either a square or an octagonal outlet box cover depending on the shape of your outlet box.
- Connect the fixture wires to the wires at one end of the whip using wire nuts. Tuck the connections inside the fixture. (Fig. 5)
- Attach the fitting at the end of the whip to the knockout hole (C). (Fig. 5)
- Attach the outlet box cover to the fitting at the opposite end of the whip. (Fig. 5)
- Connect the supply wires to the remaining wires on the whip. Tuck the connections into the outlet box. (Fig. 5)
- Mount the outlet box cover to the outlet box using mounting screws. (Fig. 5)
WIRING USING A CORD CONNECTION
NOTE: Use either a square or an octagonal outlet box cover depending on
the shape of your outlet box.
CORD WITH PLUG (Fig. 6a):
- Slide the fitting over the cord.
- Use wire nuts to connect the cord wires from the power plug to the fixture wires.
- Use the fitting to connect the cord to the knockout (C).
- Mount the receptacle to the outlet box cover.
- Connect the wires from the receptacle to the supply wires in the outlet box.
- Mount the outlet box cover to the outlet box using mounting screws.
- Plug the cord into the receptacle.
HARDWIRED CORD (Fig. 6b):
- Slide the fitting over the cord.
- Attach one end of the SOOW Cord to the fixture wires inside the fixture. Push the connections into the fixture
- Use a fitting to secure the cord to the fixture.
- Connect the outlet box cover to the opposite end of the cord using a fitting.
- Connect the supply wires from the outlet box to the cord wires using wire nuts. Push the connections into the outlet box.
- Mount the outlet box cover using mounting screws.
FINISHING INSTALLATION
- With the power off, connect the black supply wire to the two black fixture wires. Connect the white supply wires to the two white fixture wires. Connect the ground supply wire to the green ground screw (Fig. 7).
- Reinstall the two channel covers onto the channel using the retainer clips (Fig. 8).
- To install the tube lamp, guide the pins into the socket. Make sure that the powered end of the tube is placed on the center lamp holder of the fixture. Guide the other end of the tube into socket on end of channel. Rotate the tube 90° (1/4 turn) in either direction until seated (Fig. 9).
- Turn on the power.
CONNECTING MULTIPLE FIXTURES IN A ROW (OPTIONAL)
NOTE: The length of the fixture can be extended by coupling it with an additional fixture (either the 4ft. or 8ft. version).
- With channel cover removed, place the strip connector (STCONN1 sold separately) on the bottom of the adjoining fixtures and into the provided slots (Fig. 10).
- With both fixtures in place, tighten wingnuts until secure. Repeat process for desired number of fixtures.
