Please observe the safety instructions on the module and read the safety instructions as well as the user manual before putting the device into operation. Otherwise, persons could be injured or the module could be damaged. The module VTCB920B is operated With line voltage.

  • Install or remove only when de-energized.
  • Installation, initial operation and use have to be done by qualified personal.
  • Approved only for the connection values given on the rating plate and in the technical data.

Use only in a grounded 41—1 19′ frame!

  • For connection to mains a cord set with an IEC 60320 C13 appliance coupler and a suitable county-dependent mains plug is required. Mains plug: Class l; voltage rating suitable for the intended mains system. Cord: cross-sectional area min. O, 75mrn2/ ld AWG Cord type according to national requirements.
  • The module must be connected to a socket outlet with earthing contact.
  • Secure the module with pre-assembled screws and install it in the rightmost slot.
  • The power switch must be accessible at any time. Fire protection must be ensured by the 19′ frame.
  • During operation, do not store flammable substances near the module.
  • Manipulations in the device are not permitted.
  • Repairs are carried Out by the manufacturer.

Purpose
The module VTC8920B is a 12V power supply for measuring and test devices in the laboratory sector.

  • Shape and size are adapted to the VT system of Vector Informatik GmbH.
  • May only be operated with VT and VTC components in a grounded 4U 19″ frame.
  • Suitable for IT mains up to 240VAC.
  • The module is used exclusively in an industrial electromagnetic environment.
  • Only indoor use at an ambient temperature of 0–40°C, max. altitude of 4,000m and a relative humidity of 90%.
  • Make sure that pollution degree 2 or better is maintained

Initial Operation

  • Mount the module in a grounded 4U 19″ frame with the supplied screws.
  • Connect the 6.3mm flat connector (X5) to the grounded 4U 19″ frame for potential equalization (functional earth).
  • Connect the mains cord to the power supply unit before connecting it to the mains socket outlet.
  • In the user manual of the VT-System you find a chapter “Supply Voltage and Ground” and a chapter “VT8006A/VT8012A” with hints for the connection of analog GND with digital GND at the 4-pin connector MSTB 2.5HC/ 4-ST-5.08

Usage

  • The device is switched on and off via the power switch on the front.
  • The module was developed for the supply of VT modules via the backplanes VT8006A and VT8012A, as well as for VTC modules.
  • The connection values of the connected modules must not exceed the performance data of the VTC8920B.
  • Customer-specific applications must be coordinated with ibb testing gmbh.
