OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Connect the recovery strap to the machine / vehicle that is disabled / stuck by threading the end of the recovery strap through the vehicle’s tow hook. Some vehicles have a hidden hook location behind a small square piece of plastic that is removable.
  2. Attach the other end of the strap to the vehicle you are using to pull with. Many vehicles have hooks or loops you can use to do this. You can also use a trailer hitch reciever with a bolt/pin as shown. Refer to the service manual for your specific vehicle if you are unsure of where to locate the best location for towing. Do NOT attach the strap to the axle or trailer hitch ball of the vehicle.
  3. Once the strap is attached to both vehicles, drive very slowly to take out the extra slack in the strap. Once the strap is taught, slowly accelerate at very low speed until the disabled vehicle is free. Sudden tugs may lead to damage to either of the vehicles or the strap.
