Product Information
The product is an induction-type milk frother with the ART.-NO. SM 3587. This milk frother comes with various settings to create different types of milk froth such as hot, creamy milk froth, cold, creamy milk froth, lactose-free milk froth, cashew milk froth, soy milk froth, and firm milk froth. It also has a boost function for maximum and firm milk froth. The product comes with sound and light settings that can be turned on or off as per the user’s preference.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the packaging material and the product are kept away from children as there is a risk of choking.
- Refer to the user manual for the various settings and their respective functions.
- Unwrap the product and ensure that it is placed on a flat surface.
- Plug in the product to a power source.
- Select the setting of your choice for creating milk froth.
- Pour the desired amount of milk into the milk frother. Ensure that it does not exceed the maximum limit of 350ml.
- Press the start button to begin the milk frothing process.
- Once the milk frothing process is complete, pour the milk froth into your preferred beverage and enjoy.
- After usage, unplug the product from the power source and clean it as per the instructions provided in the user manual.
Note:
The product can also be used to create hot chocolate, cappuccino, latte
macchiato, mulled wine, and dairy-based baby food. Ensure that the appropriate
setting is selected for the desired outcome.

and keep this manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by
persons familiar with these instructions.
Connection to the mains supply
The appliance should only be connected to an earthed socket installed in
accordance with the regulations. Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds
with the voltage marked on the rating label of the appliance. This product
complies with all binding CE labeling directives.

Important safety instructions
- In order to avoid hazards, repairs to this electrical appliance or its power cord must be carried out by our customer service. If repairs are needed, please contact our customer service department by phone or email (see appendix).
- Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down completely.
- Detailed information on cleaning can be found in the section Cleaning and care.
- Do not immerse the base in liquids, and do not clean it under running tap water.
- Caution: The electrical connection in the base must be protected at all times against possible spillage of liquids.
- The milk frother must only be used on its designated base.
- Caution: Any misuse can cause severe personal injury.
- Always use the milk container handle, as the surface may be hot during and after the operation.
- Dairy-based baby food should be prepared just before the meal and not be stored or kept too long.
- Once baby food has been prepared, always check the temperature first, eg using the back of your hand.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- This appliance is intended for domestic or similar applications, such as the
- staff kitchens in shops, offices and other similar working environments,
- agricultural working environments,
- by customers in hotels, motels etc. and similar accommodations,
- in bed-and-breakfast-type environments.
- This appliance may be used by children (at least 8 years of age) and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and knowledge, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance and fully understand all dangers and safety precautions involved.
- Children must not be permitted to play with the appliance.
- Children must not be permitted to carry out any cleaning or maintenance work on the appliance unless they are supervised and at least 8 years of age.
- The appliance and its power cord must be kept well away from children under 8 at all times.
- Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from children – such materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. of suffocation.
- Every time the appliance is used, the main body including the power cord as well as any attachment fitted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, or if excessive force has been used to pull the power cord, it must no longer be used: even invisible damage may have adverse effects on the operational safety of the appliance.
- This appliance is solely designed for heating up and frothing milk, hot chocolate, cocoa, dairy-based baby food, protein shakes and mulled wine. Do not put any other type of liquid or solid food in the container.
- Do not leave the milk frother unattended while in use.
- Always observe the min and max level marks inside the milk container for each application.
- The protrusion in the bottom of the container (min. level mark) must be covered by the milk/liquid. If there is not enough milk, the appliance may overheat.
- Overfilling the container may cause danger if frothing milk is forced out.
- Caution: The lid must always be fitted during operation.
- Do not cover the ventilation slots at the rear of the appliance.
- The appliance may only be used with the original accessory parts provided by the manufacturer.
- The appliance must always be set on a firm, level surface.
- Do not allow the appliance or its power cord to come into contact with open flames or any hot surfaces such as hot-plates.
- Do not allow the power cord to hang free; the cord must be kept well away from hot parts of the appliance.
- Always remove the plug from the wall socket
- in case of any malfunction,
- after use,
- before cleaning the appliance.
- When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull on the power cord; always grip the plug itself.
- No responsibility is accepted if damage results from improper use, or if these instructions are not complied with.
Before using for the first time
- Remove any remaining packaging materials and promotional stickers, and check that all components are present.
- Before the appliance is used for the first time, or after extended periods of non-use, it should be thoroughly cleaned as described in the section Cleaning and care.
Wind-up power cord storage
- There is a power-cord storage compartment in the base.
- Unwind the cord to the required length before use.
- Wind up the power cord again after use.
Operation
Lid
- The lid must always be fitted during operation.
- To add ingredients during operation, turn and then take off the lid insert.
- For storage, the smooth stirring tool can be fitted to the lid insert.
Light ring
Red
A function with heating is selected.
Blue
A function without heating is selected.
Steady light
Preparation is in progress.
Flashing red or blue
The unit is waiting for input, or preparation is complete.
Flashing red and blue
Error (see Error codes at the end of the instructions).
Selecting the stirring tool
The following stirring tools are available:

Preparing the appliance
- Remove the lid from the milk container.
- Fit the selected stirring tool in the milk container and push it down: ensure it is seated on the lower part of the protrusion.
- Put the required amount of milk or water etc. into the container.
- To prepare protein shakes or baby food (see Preparation instructions), fill in the required amount of powder.
- Place the lid on the container.
- Insert the plug into the wall socket.
- Place the milk container onto the base.
Preparation
- Turn the rotary control to turn the appliance on and select the required function (see also the table at the beginning of the instructions).
- Press the rotary control to confirm the selection.
- When preparing milk froth with additional heating, turn the rotary control to the desired temperature, then press to confirm.
- The program starts.
- To prepare cocoa and hot chocolate, fill in the desired amount of cocoa powder or chocolate (see Preparation instructions).
- Once processing is complete, the heating and stirring process stops automatically.
- You can now remove the milk container from the base.
- Pour out the prepared food, or use a suitable spoon to take off the milk froth. Do not leave any residual amounts in the container.
- Detach the power cord from the wall socket after use.
- Always allow the appliance to cool down first, and then clean it, before starting a new cycle.
Preparation Instructions
Milk froth:
- We recommend using milk with a high protein content. For best results, the milk should be taken from the refrigerator immediately before frothing.
- To achieve a thicker froth, go through a cold-frothing cycle first, followed by a hot-frothing cycle.
Hot chocolate/cocoa:
- To prepare drinking chocolate from milk and chocolate or cocoa.
- Grate the chocolate finely before preparation.
- Alternatively, break down the chocolate to pieces of 5 x 4 cm minimum (but not any smaller). Caution: Do not fill in melted chocolate!
- Fill in the chocolate/cocoa only after the program has started when the milk is already being stirred. Otherwise, the stirring tool could jam (see also Error codes at the end of the instructions).
- We recommend using the following amounts of chocolate:
- 200 ml milk = > approx. 15-20 g
- 350 ml milk = > approx. 30-35 g
Cappuccino
- To prepare hot, creamy milk froth.
- We recommend using 150 – 200 ml of milk.
- Once the program has finished, briefly shake the milk container and pour the milk froth on the espresso.
Protein shakes:
- To prepare protein shakes from powder, according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Dairy-based baby food:
- To prepare baby food from milk powder according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- When preparing baby food, specific hygienic requirements must be observed. We recommend preparing baby food only for infants from 6 months on.
- Depending on the age of the baby, use only water that has been previously boiled and then cooled down.
- Dairy-based baby food should be prepared just before the meal and not be stored or kept too long.
- After completion of the program, the temperature of the dairy food for infants is approx. 37 °C. However, always check the temperature first, eg using the back of your hand.
Latte macchiato
- To prepare hot, firm milk froth.
- We recommend using 200 ml of milk.
- Once the programme has finished, pour the milk froth into a tall glass.
- To achieve a perfect build-up of layers from milk, espresso and milk froth, pour a hot espresso very slowly and carefully into the milk.
Mulled wine
- To heat mulled wine to its ideal drinking temperature of 65 – 70 °C.
Interrupting a cycle
- The heating or stirring process may be stopped by pressing the display at any time.
Automatic switch-off
- The appliance switches off automatically two minutes after non-use.
Switching the acoustic signals and light ring feature on/off
- The acoustic signals and the light-ring function can be switched on or off.
- Turn the rotary control, until the symbol appears in the display. Press the display.
- Turn the control to or and press to confirm.
- Turn the control to or and press to confirm.
- Once the appliance is disconnected from the mains, the unit returns to the default factory setting.
Cleaning and care
- Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down completely.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the base or the power cord with water and do not immerse them.
- The base can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth and some detergent.
- The milk container, stirring tools and lid should be cleaned after each cycle of use with hot water and a little detergent, or in the dishwasher. If necessary, the serrated stirring tool may be taken off and cleaned with a suitable brush.
- Wipe all parts thoroughly dry.
- Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.
Disposal
Devices marked with this symbol must be disposed of separately from your household waste, as they contain valuable materials which can be recycled. Proper disposal protects the environment and human health. Your local authority or retailer can provide information on the matter.
Error codes
The display can show various error codes. In addition, the light ring flashes alternating red and blue.
