Product Information

The Active DVB-T2 Indoor Antenna is a device that enhances television reception in areas with weak signal strength. It is designed to receive signals in the frequency range of 87.5 – 108 MHz, 174 – 230 MHz, 1452 – 1479.5 MHz, and 470 – 690 MHz. The antenna comes with a micro-USB input, an antenna cable, an operating LED, an on/off switch, and a fastening screw for the base/wall bracket. It can be powered through the set-top box or digital TV or via an external power supply unit.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Explanation of Warning Symbols and Notes: The warning symbol is used to indicate safety instructions or to draw your attention to specific hazards and risks while the note symbol is used to indicate additional information or important notes.
  2. Package Contents: The package includes the Active DVB-T2 Indoor Antenna, a fastening screw for the base/wall bracket, and a coax socket-F socket adapter (not included).

  5. Powering the Antenna: The antenna can be powered in three ways:

    • Using the USB port: Connect the antenna directly to the USB port of the digital TV or set-top box.
    • Using an external power supply unit: Connect the antenna to an external power supply unit via the AC 220V USB port.
  6. Standing the Antenna / Wall Mounting: The antenna can be stood vertically or horizontally using the base that can be flexibly fixed in place or mounted on the wall using suitable screws and wall anchors (not included in the delivery package).
  7. TV Reception: The number and quality of stations received may vary depending on the position of the antenna and local conditions. Please refer to the manual for further information.

Safety Notes

Getting started and operation

Powering the antenna using the antenna cable (Fig. 2a)

  • Connect the coaxial cable of the antenna to the antenna input on the digital TV or set-top box.
  • Switch the antenna on using the on/off switch (4). The LED (3) lights up.
  • Switch on the digital TV (and the set-top box, if present).

Note
Powering the antenna directly from the set-top box or digital TV requires a supply voltage of 5 V. Note that the voltage of +5 V is provided by the set- top box and/or digital TV. Make any necessary settings in the menu.

Powering the antenna directly using the USB port of the digital TV / set- top box (Fig. 2b)

  • Connect the coaxial cable of the antenna to the digital TV or set-top box.
  • Connect the USB cable to an unused USB port on your TV or set-top box.
  • Switch the antenna on using the on/off switch (4). The LED (3) lights up.
  • Ensure that the set-top box or digital TV is switched on.

Powering the antenna using an external power supply unit (Fig. 2c)

  • Connect the coaxial cable of the antenna to the antenna input on the digital TV or set-top box.
  • Connect the USB cable to the antenna and to a suitable USB power supply unit (not included) and plug the latter into a socket.
  • Switch the antenna on using the on/off switch (4). The LED (3) lights up.
  • Switch on the digital TV (and the set-top box, if present).

Standing the antenna (Pic 3a) / wall mounting (Pic 3b)

The antenna can be stood vertically or horizontally thanks to a base that can be flexibly fixed in place; or it can be mounted to a wall. Release the fastening screw (5) and secure the base with the screw in accordance with how you would like to stand the antenna. For wall mounting, please use suitable screws and wall anchors (not included in the delivery package) to attach the bracket (base) to the wall.

Note – Wall mounting

  • Before mounting, check that the wall you have chosen is suitable for the weight to be mounted Also make sure that there are no electric, water, gas or other lines running through the wall at the mounting site.
  • After the product has been mounted, check that it is sufficiently secure. You should repeat this check at regular intervals.

TV reception

Radio reception:

  • The antenna can also be used for DAB reception.
  • As most audio devices have an F-plug connection, please use a coax socket-F socket adapter (not included).
