Cookware

  • Applicable are enameled or induction-appropriate pots. Minimum diameter 12 cm, but not larger than the ring on the glass plate. Too large pots can lead to an overheat of the electronic. You can test with a magnet whether your cookware is suitable or not.
    If it sticks to the base of the pot, you can use the pot.

  • Pots made of aluminum, copper, glass, ceramics and chrome nickel steel are not suitable.

  • Make sure that the bottom of the pot is flat and not too thin, as this will influence the temperature regulation negatively.

  • Caused in the composition of the materials of the pot, some noise might be heard during cooking.

  • Place the appropriate pot / pan (minimum diameter 12 cm) in the middle of the plate.

Generally
This appliance is only for private use, in small shops, offices, motels and indoor use and must not be used commercially. Please read the instruction manual carefully and keep it at a safe place. When the appliance is given to another person the instruction manual should be passed to that person, too. Only use the appliance as described in the instruction manual and pay attention to the safety information. No liability for damages or accidents will be accepted, which are caused by not paying attention to the instruction manual.

Safety information

  • Persons with heart pacemakers should consult their doctor before using the device.
  • Ensure that the power supply is adequately protected.
  • Before using the device check whether the glass surface or the power cord is damaged. In this case do not use the appliance!
  • The appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above and persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience/knowledge, provided that are supervised or have been provided with instruction in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the resulting dangers. Children must not use the packaging as a plaything. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are 8 years or older and are supervised.
  • Children under the age of 8 must be kept away from the appliance and the connecting cable.
  • The appliance must not be operated using a timer or a separate remote system!
  • Only plug in the device as described on the rating label.
  • Place the device on a stable, flat, temperature resistant and nonmetallic surface. Do not touch the top plate shortly after removing the pot or the pan, as the top plate will still be very hot.
  • Do not block air intake or exhaust vent.
  • Never immerse the appliance or the power cord into water or other liquids (risk of electronic shock). Protect the device from moisture!
  • To prevent injury, repairs such as replacing a damaged cord, should only be carried out by a customer service.
  • If an extension cord is necessary, pay attention that it is suitable for the device. If a cable drum is used, always unwind it.
  • Do not plug with wet hands.
  • Always pull the plug, not the cord.
  • Pay attention that the power cord does not get in touch with hot parts.
  • Do not put any pointed objects into the air intake. Risk of electronic shock!)
  • Never place empty pots, cutlery or other metallic objects onto the device. Those objects will get hot! Do not heat cans, they can explode. Do not place a sheet of paper between the pot or the pan and the unit. The paper may get burnt.
  • In order to protect the electronic parts, the ventilation runs for a couple of minutes after the device has been turned off.
  • The glass surface can have a residual heat after cooking.
  • Attention! Do not place hot pots or pans onto the control panel! Not warranty payments!
  • Do not carry the unit when the pot or the pan is on it.
  • Do not use the device if unsupervised. Oil and fat can catch fire if they get too hot.
  • Do not place near objects which are affected by magnet. (e.g. automatic-banking cards).
  • Unplug the device after every use (not if built-in!)
  • Attention! Device gets hot! Risk of burns!
  • While using the device, the surface can get very hot. Place the device with a distance of at least 70 cm to burnable materials (e.g. curtains).

Cleaning

  • Clean after every use
  • Unplug the device and wait until cooled down.
  • Never immerse the device into water and never run water over the unit. Pay attention that no liquids can get into the device through the air inlets.
  • A discoloration or storing can be caused if pots are used which are not clean at the bottom.
  • Use a damp cloth and some detergent for cleaning.
  • Do not use any abrasive milk, polishing wool or solvent for cleaning.
  • Use vacuum cleaner to suck up dirt from the air intake and exhaust vent.

Installation

  • The device must not be placed on a table, but must be installed into a table top!
  • In order not to damage the electronics, sufficient cold air must come to the sides and from below to the device.
  • It must be guaranteed that the ventilation slots are not polluted.
  • The enclosed sealing stripes should be glued between the glass plate and the table top.

Table top:

  • Due to the weight of the device, you need a 20 mm thick table top.
  • The cutout must be 382 x 392 mm.

  • Place the cookware on the cooking zone and activate the cooking zone.
  • The device proves whether the cookware is suitable for induction or not.
  • The symbol „ U “ flashes in the display if no suitable pot is used.

Use

Getting started

  • Activate the control with the ON/OFF button , the display shows “0”.
  • The electronics remain activated for approx. 10 seconds.
  • If no programming is taken, the device shuts off again.

Programming of the cooking zone

  • If the control is activated, you can use the slider to set the power level 1 – 9 and the booster “P”. The power level is indicated in the display.

Booster

  • All cooking zones have a booster function for a rapid heating of the food.
  • To set the booster, slide the slider of the selected cooking zone to “max”, “P” is displayed.
  • The booster function is available for 10 minutes for each cooking zone, after this time the device turns back to power level 9.
  • If both cooking zones are set to the booster function “P”, the first set zone will be reduced. Then, the left zone switches to level 6 and the right zone to level 9.
  • if water, fat or a pot is placed on the control panel, error code E03 appears. In this case, replace the pot and clean the panel.

Turning off

  • Set the slider of a cooking zone to “min”
  • The display shows “0”, respectively “H” (hot).
  • Press the ON/OFF to turn off the cooking zone.

Residual heat “H”

  • If the cooking zone is still warm, the residual heat symbol “H” is shown.

Timer for the cooking zone

  • Each cooking zone is assigned with a timer.
  • The timer can be set between 1 minute and 1:59 hours.
  • Set the cooking zone with the slider and press the “+” and “-“ button together. The display shows 0:00.
  • Set a timer value within 10 seconds, otherwise the timer function will be deleted.
  • Press the “+” button, the display shows 1 minute and can be increased in steps of 1minute. If the button is pressed continuously, the timer setting is accelerated.
  • Press the “-“ button, the timer decreases in steps of 1 minute. If the button is pressed continuously, the timer setting is accelerated.
  • If the time ran out, a beeping sound can be heard for 2 minutes and the cooking zone shuts off.
  • By pressing the “+” and “-” buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds, the set timer value will return to 0:00.

Kitchen timer

  • Press the button once more than for setting the timer for the cooking zone.
  • Set the desired time with the “+” and “-“ buttons. The time counts down.
  • After the time ran out a beeping sound can be heard for 2 minutes.

Child lock

  • Press the ON/OFF button and then hold the child lock button for 2 seconds.
  • Now, the cooing zones can no longer be set.
  • The device is reactivated by holding the button again for 2 seconds.

Interruption of cooking

  • This button is used to interrupt a cooking process, to e.g. make a call.
  • This function can be used if at least one cooking zone is activated.
  • Press the button , a LED shines. The cooking process and the timer are interrupted.
  • If this function is not deactivated within 10 minutes, the device turns off.

Recall function:

  • If you press the button again, the LED goes out and the slider flashes.
  • Slide the slider from “min” to “max”, the set values are reactivated.
  • If a cooking zone has been accidentally switched off with ON/OFF, you can reactivate it within 6 seconds.
  • To return to the set values, press ON/OFF and the recall button.

Keeping warm

  • To keep the prepared food warm, touch the button :
    – 1 time = ca. 45°C
    – 2 times = ca. 75°C
    – 3 times = ca.95°C left plate, 105°C right plate

  • To deactivate the keeping warm function, slide the slider to a desired level or press ON/OFF.

Parboil function

  • Select the required power level with the slider and stay at this value for 2 seconds. “A” flashes in the display.
  • The device starts with the maximum setting and then switches back to the desired power level.
