Steba IK300 Induction Instruction Manual
Generally
This appliance is for private and indoor use only and must not be used commercially. Please read the instruction manual carefully and keep it at a safe place. When the appliance is given to another person the instruction manual should be passed to that person, too. Only use the appliance as described in the instruction manual and pay attention to the safety information. No liability for damages or accidents will be accepted, which are caused by not paying attention to the instruction manual.
Safety information

Do not plug with wet hands.

Do not plug into a socket where several other appliances are plugged in.

Do not use if the plug cord is damaged or when the power plug does not fit the socket securely.

Do not modify the parts, or repair the unit by yourself.

Do not use the unit near a flame or wet places.

The appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above
and persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience/knowledge, provided that are supervised or have been provided with instruction in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the resulting dangers. Children must not use the packaging as a plaything. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are 8 years or older and are supervised. -
Children under the age of 8 must be kept away from the appliance and the connecting cable.

The appliance must not be operated using a timer or a separate remote system!

Do not place on unstable surfaces.

Do not carry the unit when the pot or the pan is on it.

Do not heat the pot empty or overheat it.

Do not place metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons, lids, cans, and aluminum foils on the top plate.

Use the unit with sufficient space around it. Keep the front side and either right or left side of the unit clear.

Never use the unit on carpet or tablecloth (viny1) or any other low-heat-resistant article.

Do not place a sheet of paper between the pot or the pan and the unit. The paper may get burnt.

If the surface is cracked, switch off and take to the service center mediately.

Do not block air intake or exhaust vent.

Do not touch the top plate shortly after removing the pot or the pan, as the top plate will still be very hot.

Do not place near objects which are affected by magnet, such as: radios, televisions, automatic-banking cards and cassette tapes.

The supply cord must by replaced by qualified technicians.
How to Clean
- Disconnect plug and wait until it is cooled down. Clean after each use.
- Never immerse the device in Water.
- If the pots/pans are used without being cleaned, discoloration or cooked on stains may be caused.
- Do not use petrol, thinner, scrubbing brush or polishing power to clean the induction cooker.
- Wipe using dish washing agent and damp cloth.
- Use vacuum cleaner to suck up dirt from the air intake and exhaust vent.
- Never run water over the unit. (water gets inside may cause malfunction).
Operation
The appliance is equipped with a touch control display- All functions will be activated by touching the surface. The usage of both plates is identical. Plug the appliance into the socket. A sound can be heard and all LED and the display are on for one second. Now the appliance is in stand-by modus. Place a suitable pot in the middle of the cooking area (min. diameter 12cm). When the ON/OFF is touched for one time a LED bellow heating is on and one LED is on above the ON/OFF . Attention!!! After 1 minute the appliance will go back into the stand-by modus, when no function by touching was chosen . By touching ON/OFF both plates turn off.
Power mode
This function is suitable for boiling water and soups.
Place the pot in the middle of the cooking area.
ouch ON/OFF one time and after that the function , the red LED bellow Heating (Zeichen) is on and in the display there is 1200 is shown. The cooling fan starts working. With the buttons or can the power be adjusted in steps of 200W. During cooking the Wattage can be changed at any time. The unit is equipped with an overheat protection. When the pot gets too hot, the appliance will stop working, a sound can be heard and in the display E02 can be seen. In that case, press the ON/OFF and cool the appliance down for some minutes. The appliance will work after that without any problem.
When the failure code E0 is in the display then the used pot or pan is not suitable induction cookers. The appliance beeps 9 times and after ca 1 minute the appliance will switch to the stand-by mode. If you set the power lower than 400 W, the selected plate turns off.
Timer
The temperature or power must be adjusted first, as described above. Touch the function button so many times, until the red LED bellow the Timer symbol is blinking. The display shows „0“. Now there is 5 seconds time to adjust the time by pressing the button in steps of 5 minutes. The time can be adjusted from 5 to 180min. Pressing the button decreases the time by 5 minutes. When the or button is pressed one time the time increases or decreases by 5 minutes and a beeping noise can be heard. When the or is pressed for a longer period no beeping sound can be heard and the time can be adjusted faster.
If you want to change the time during the cooking touch the function button until the timer LED is blinking. Now you have ca 5 seconds time to change the timer setting.
When the function temperature and the timer is used and it is the intention to switch to the power mode, then the Timer is not deleted. When the ON/OFF button is touched during the cooking then the program will be deleted and the appliances switches to the stand-by mode. If the adjusted time runs out, the appliance will switch to the stand-by mode.
Residual heat „H“
When the glass plate gets hotter than ca 60°C the residual heat symbol „H“ can
be
seen in the display and vanishes after the glass plate cools down. When the
residual
heat light „H“ is on, then do not touch the cooking area. Danger of
burns!!!
Please notice that the cooling fan is running during cooking to cool down the
electronic inside.
To protect the electronic the cooling fan will work some minutes after the appliance is switched off. This avoids that the appliance do not overheat and be damaged. Only unplug the appliance after the cooling fan switched off by itself.
Child lock
By pressing the button the child protection will be activated or deactivated.
Assembly
If you install the device on a table top, then please make sure that the
ventilation slits are not covered, adequate ventilation must be ensured.
Please note the assembly dimensions as displayed.
Correct Disposal of this product
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.
Packaging disposal: Do not throw away the package materials. Please put it in the recycling bin.
Gift box: Paper, should be put to the old paper collection point.
Plastic packaging material and foils should be collected in the special
collection containers.
