USING KENT SMART MG-4 JARS

  1. Remove any stickers that might prevent from operating the unit.
  2. Check the unit for damages. Do not use in case of any damages.
  3. Before switching on the appliance, make sure that your home mains voltage corresponds to the unit’s operating voltage.
  4. Clean the parts of the KENT Smart MG-4 Jars before using the appliance for the first time [see ‘Cleaning & Maintenance· section].
  5. Make sure all parts are completely dry before you start using the appliance.

HOW TO OPERATE

  1. Ensure power switch is in off position before placing the jar on the motor unit.
  2. Add desired ingredients.
  3. Securely place the lid above the jar
  4. Plug in and switch it on [keep hand on lid while operation].
  5. Once done, please clean the appliance before storing it.
MODES

Blending Mode

  1. Put food or liquid in the SS / Glass Jar Blending Jar.

  2. Put the lid on the SS / Glass Jar and secure it tightly.
    Place cap on the SS / Glass Jar.

  3. Place the SS Jar on the motor base.

  4. Switch ‘ON’ . Use the desired speed as described

  5. Low speed : Most suited for blending and shakes

  6. Medium speed

  7. High speed: Most suited for grinding and crushing
    P – Pulse use: Most suited for shorter bursts of blending and for crushing ice
    0 – Off

  8. Once finished, turn off and unplug.

  9. Remove the SS / Glass Jar by lifting it.

Grinding Mode
  1. Fill the jar with ingredients [not more than 50% of the capacity) and screw back to the base.

  2. Put the lid on the SS Jar and secure it tightly.

  3. Place the Jar on the motor base.

  4. Switch ON·. Use the desired speed as described

  5. Low speed: Most suited for blending or shakes

  6. Medium speed

  7. High speed : Most suited for grinding and crushing
    P – Pulse use: Most suited for shorter bursts of blending and for crushing ice
    0 – Off

  8. Once finished, turn off and unplug

  9. Remove the SS Jar by lifting it

Chutney Mode

  8. Remove the SS Chutney Jar by lifting it.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

  • Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
  • Clean the jar with warm water and soap solution with the help of a cleaning brush. Never use scouring pads to clean.
  • Wipe the main unit with a moist cloth and a non-abrasive liquid cleaner.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
  • Never put any part of the appliance in the dishwasher.
  • After cleaning it thoroughly, dry it using a soft cloth.
  • Ensure that the appliance is completely dry before storing it.
    Note: Never immerse the motor unit of the blender in water, nor rinse it under the tap.

PRECAUTIONS

  • Do not disassemble, repair or alter the appliance on your own. It may cause appliance failure or breakdown.
  • The input voltage must not exceed the rating, it might damage the appliance.
  • Unplug before cleaning/ moving the appliance.
  • Do not use the appliance with a damaged power cord or plug.
  • Do not use the appliance near any heat source.
  • If the appliance is not used for a long time, unplug it.
  • Do not use the appliance when it is in a recumbent or inclined position.
  • Do not operate the Jars without the lid on them.
  • Chop food before putting them to mix for better crushing.
  • While making chutneys or any paste, please put hand on top of the lid to avoid spilling of the liquid.
  • To avoid overheating of the product, use it for 5 mins, rest for 2 mins & continue the process accordingly to get desired results.
  • in case of overheating, take off the jar and switch off the motor and restart operation after 20 – 30 mins. Otherwise machine will restart automatically after cooling down.
  • Do not operate machine continuously for more than 5 mins. Rest for 2 mins and begin again as desired.
  • In case of overheat, turn the knob off and rest for 20 mins and restart.
  • In case of overload, reset the overload protector knob at the bottom of the machine after 2 mins.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed,
including the following :

  1. Unplug, when not in use and before servicing.

  2. Always increase the speed gradually a) Low speed – 30s, b) Medium speed – 60s, c) High speed – 90s.

  3. To reduce the risk of electric shocks, do not use near or on wet surfaces.

  4. Use the appliance only as described in the manual.

  5. Do not use the appliance if the cord or the plug is damaged or worn out.
    Replace the damaged cord or plug immediately.

  6. Do not try to service the appliance on your own. Send it to an authorized service center only.

  7. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

  8. Do not unplug the appliance by pulling the cord. Always unplug by pulling out the plug.

  9. To avoid electric shocks, do not use the appliance with wet hands.

  10. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of the body away from moving parts.

  11. Turn all controls off before unplugging.

  12. This appliance is suitable for indoor use only. Product.

  13. Keep away from children.

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION
**** The appliance does not start. There is connection problem. Check if

the appliance is connected to the mains and if the plug is inserted firmly into the wall socket.
The jar is not placed properly.
The appliance is defective.| Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Go to the nearest KENT authorized service centre for assistance .
The appliance suddenly stops working while running .|
The appliance has overheated.| Let the appliance cool for 20 – 30 minutes.
The appliance is overloaded .| Remove some ingredients , add some water and try again by resetting the overload protector knob which is at the bottom of the machine, please ensure before resetting, that the machine is switched off.
The appliance is defective.| Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Go to the nearest KENT authorised service centre for assistance .
The appliance makes lots of noise.| The jar is not placed properly.| Reposition the jar in the correct position .
The blender· s inner drive is broken .| Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Go to the nearest KENT authorised service centre for assistance .
Motor does not work properly.| The appliance is defective.| Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Go to the nearest KENT authorised service centre for assistance.
