SONY MDR-MV1 Stereo Headphones
Product Information
The MDR-MV1 Stereo Headphones are an open back, dynamic type of headphones with 40mm (1.58 in) driver units. They have a power handling capacity of 1,500 mW (IEC) and an impedance of 24 at 1 kHz. The sensitivity of the headphones is 100 dB/mW, and the frequency response ranges from 5 Hz – 80,000 Hz (IEC). The headphones weigh approximately 223 g (7.87 oz) without the cable and come with a headphone cable (approx. 2.5 m (98.43 in), stereo phone plug), a plug adaptor (approx. 20 cm (7.88 in.), stereo phone jack stereo mini plug), and documents.

Product Usage Instructions
Before using the MDR-MV1 Stereo Headphones, record the model and serial numbers located on the product in the space provided in the user manual and store it safely. High volume may adversely affect your hearing, so adjust the volume to a safe level. Do not use the headphones while walking, driving, or cycling as it may cause traffic accidents. If using the headphones in hazardous areas, ensure that you can still hear surrounding sounds. The headphones have magnets that may interfere with pacemakers, programmable shunt valves for hydrocephalus treatment, or other medical devices, so keep the headphones away from persons who use such medical devices. Consult your doctor before using the headphones if you use any such medical device.
When using the headphones, grab the rubber part of the plug and insert it firmly until it clicks. Then fasten the rotating part. If you use the headphones when the air is dry, you may experience discomfort due to static electricity accumulated on your body. To reduce this effect, wear clothes made of natural materials that do not easily generate static electricity.
If you need to replace the earpads, consult your nearest authorized Sony retailer or visit www.sony.com for information about replacement parts. The location of the serial number label can be found in the user manual.

- This product has magnets. Placing magnetic stripe cards in the vicinity of the product may affect the magnetism of the card and render it unusable.
Note about static electricity
If you use the unit when the air is dry, you may experience discomfort due to
static electricity accumulated on your body. This is not a malfunction of the
unit. You can reduce the effect by wearing clothes made of natural materials
that do not easily generate static electricity.

Precautions
- When disconnecting the cable, pull it out by the plug, not the cable. Otherwise the cable may break.
Other notes
- Do not subject the unit to excessive shock.
- Wipe the exterior clean with a soft, dry cloth.
- For stubborn stains, moisten a soft cloth with warm water and then wipe.
- Do not use detergents, alcohol, or similar agents, as these may cause discoloration or deterioration.
- To remove dust, use a soft brush or similar and gently wipe clean.
- Do not apply weight or pressure to the unit for long periods, including when it is stored, as it may cause deformation.
- If you experience discomfort while using the unit, stop using it immediately.
- The earpads may be damaged or deteriorate with long-term use and storage.
