Flexible Measuring Tape Clawgs Sizing
Product Information
The Flexible Measuring Tape Clawgs Sizing Guide is a tool used to measure the correct size of Clawgs for your dog. Clawgs are dog boots designed to protect your dog’s paws from hot pavement, sharp objects, and other hazards. The sizing guide comes with a flexible measuring tape that has Clawg lengths marked on it. The sizes range from Size 1 to Size 12, with each size corresponding to a specific Clawg length in centimeters and inches.
Product Usage Instructions
- Have your dog lay on its side.
- Pinch the flexible measuring tape with your thumb’s tip at the Clawg length that you would like to try. Each size’s length is on the following table. (Centimeters is more precise and easier)
- Press the flexible measuring tape’s pinched location against your dog’s leg behind the metacarpal / metatarsal pad’s (heel pad`s) furthest point from the front claws, which is not centered behind the heel pad. Your thumb should be at Clawgs’ heel location, which is the leg’s skinniest part directly behind the heel pad.
- Press the flexible measuring tape’s loose end against your dog’s front pads. Make sure your dog’s wrist/ankle is bent as far as possible to its standing position. The flexible measuring tape’s end is located at the front claw opening’s edge for the size you are trying.
- Select the longest Clawg length that does not contact your dog’s front claws’ tips while your dog’s wrist/ankle is fully bent to its standing position. Ideally, the flexible measuring tape will completely cover your dog’s front pad but will not contact your dog’s front claws’ tips.
- If your dog’s front paws and back paws are different sizes, measure both and select the larger size.
Note: If you can’t decide between two sizes, select the larger size.
