Chipcard Reader

Safety instructions

Start-up and operation

Note — USB 1.1 compatibility

  • The IJS8 2.0 chip card reader is backward-compatible with USB 1.1.
  • No additional drivers are required. Installation takes place automatically.
  • To use the chip card reader, you will need a smart card or ID card as well as suitable software. The software can be obtained from your bank, your local council or other approved institutions. This software is not included in the product.
  • Other free or purchasable software and chip cards that allow you to use your chip card reader can be found on the Internet.
  • Connect the USB 2.0 chip card reader to a spare USB port on your computer.
  • During the data transfer, the control light lights up green.

ID function

  • The product supports ID cards from the countries listed above.

Care and maintenance
  • Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth, and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
  • Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.
