Prior to operating the appliance, please carefully read the present manual which contains important information regarding its proper and safe operation. Take care not to lose the present manual. The manufacturer will not be responsible for any damage resulting from improper use of the appliance or from non-observance of the instructions and provisions of the present manual, as well as from attempts by unskilled persons at repairing the appliance. Should You decide to transfer the appliance to another person, please pass the present manual over along with it. The car audio is a home appliance and is not designed for industrial applications.
PURPOSE OF THE APPLIANCE
The car stereo is designed for reception and playback of radio signal and media files via the vehicle’s speaker system.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

The following requirements should be strictly observed in order to avoid situations hazardous for human life and health, as well as premature failures of the appliance:
– Before making any connections ensure that the electric equipment of your vehicle is 12 V DC with negative ground.
– Disconnect the negative cable from the battery before installation to reduce the risk of unit damage and avoid short circuits during connection.
– Ensure that the colored wires are connected according to the diagram. Wrong connection may cause unit failure or malfunctions or damage the electric equipment of the vehicle.
– Ensure that the negative speaker cable is connected to the negative speaker terminals. Never connect the “-“ speaker wire to the vehicle ground. Do not obstruct the unit ventilation openings and the radiator area, in order to provide sufficient ventilation and reduce the risk of fire.
– It is not allowed to connect the unit directly to the car battery, i.e. not via the ignition switch, as this will lead to increased battery depletion during vehicle standstill.
– The unit is designed for use in vehicle electric systems with the negative battery pole connected to the metal vehicle body (ground).
– If the unit is turned on, do not allow shorting the speaker cables between themselves and to the vehicle body. This may cause amplifier overload or damage.
– Turn the unit on when not in use (disconnect it from the power supply if it is not operated for a prolonged time).
– Do not install the unit in locations where it can:

  • Prevent the proper operation of the steering wheel or gearshift lever, as this can be the cause of a traffic accident;
  • Prevent the proper functioning of safety devices, such as an airbag, as this can be the cause of a fatal accident;
  • Obstruct the driver’s view.

– Do not attempt to operate the unit while driving the car. Doing so can be the cause of a traffic accident. If You have to operate the unit while driving, keep Your eyes on the road as failure to do so can be cause of a traffic accident.
– When listening to audio while driving set the volume to such a level as not to prevent the driver from hearing everything that is happening around the car.
– Do not operate the unit while the car is driving if this can distract the driver’s attention.
– Do not expose the unit to drastic temperature changes. This may cause condensation to form inside the unit and lead to damage. If condensate should form inside the unit, wait for 1 hour for the moisture to evaporate. No condensation on unit components should be allowed. Avoid operating the unit in dusty environments.
– Do not turn the unit on if the temperature inside the car is higher or lower than normal. Before turning the unit on wait for the temperature inside the car to return to normal. Operating temperature range: -10 ⁰C to +60 ⁰C. In order to avoid damage do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, heat radiation and hot air streams.
– Use only recommended accessories in order to reduce the risk of fire or electric shock.
– Do not attempt to disassemble the unit as this may lead to an accident. Do not modify or repair the unit yourself. This may lead to serious damage and make our warranty repair undertakings void. Any repairs may only be performed at an authorized service centre.
– The appliance should not be used by physically, sensory or mentally handicapped persons (including children) or by persons without sufficient experience or knowledge, unless such persons are under supervision, or have been instructed on the use of the appliance, by the persons responsible for their safety. Take precautions not to children play with the appliance.
– Special instructions for transportation (shipment) and sale: none.

SCOPE OF SUPPLY

INSTALLATION

Insert the mounting sleeve into the opening, choose the appropriate bend-off brackets according to material thickness and bend them inwards, making sure that the sleeve is properly seated. Install the sleeve as securely as possible, using upper and lower brackets. Bend the brackets by 90 degrees for reliable fastening.
ATTENTION!
– Prior to final installation connect the wiring temporarily to make sure that the unit and the whole audio system functions properly.
– Use only the accessories supplied with the unit for proper installation.
– The use of other accessories may cause failures.
– Consult your car dealer if holes should be drilled or any other modifications made to the vehicle.
Install the car stereo unit in such a way that it will not interfere with the driver and not injure the passenger in case of an abrupt stop.

OPERATION

MAIN MENU
Turn the unit on by pressing any button, then press the “HOME” icon to enter the main menu. The main menu provides access to the following functions:

  1. Radio (FM)
  2. USB
  3. Bluetooth
  4. AUX
  5. PhoneLink
  6. Settings
  7. Wheel control settings

1. Radio (FM)
Press the FM icon to select “Radio” mode. This mode provides access to 5 frequency bands (FM 1/2/3, AM 1/2), memory for 6 stations, as well as manual and automatic  search functions. In order to store the desired station press and hold the SCAN icon for three seconds.
2. Storage devices (USB)
When a storage device is connected to the respective port the unit will automatically search for supported files, show a list on the screen and start playback. To navigate between files use the browsing buttons or the numeric buttons on the RC unit.
3. Bluetooth
To select the Bluetooth mode press the respective symbol in the main menu. This mode provides the following functions:
1. Call; 2. Contacts; 3. Music; 4. Settings. To link a phone select the unit’s Bluetooth network (default unit name “CAR_BT”, password – “0000”). If a call is incoming the unit will automatically enter the call mode. When the call is ended the unit will return to normal mode. You can switch to audio playback via car speakers and back to the phone by pressing the relevant icon.
4. AUX
Press the relevant icon in the main menu to select the AUX mode.
5. Settings
In this mode you can access the following settings:
1. Audio; 2. Language; 3. Other; 4. Radio Area; 5. Wheel controls; 6. Time and Date.
5.1 Audio Settings
Calibrate the speakers and adjust bass and tweet. You can also turn off the touchscreen press sound and the “Loud” function.
5.2 Language Settings
Here You can select the menu language.
5.3 Other Settings
In this section You can:

  • Update the software version (Software Update);
  • Return to factory settings (Factory Data Reset);
  • Set display parameters (Display);
  • Set button backlight color (Led backlight);
  • Calibrate the touchscreen (Calibration);
  • Select the background image (Background set).

5.4 Broadcast Zone (Radio Area)
Here You can select the radio network region.
5.5 Wheel Controls
You can control the car stereo unit with the steering wheel buttons. Select the function on the unit screen, then press a button on the steering wheel.
5.6 Time and Date
This menu allows to set the current time and date, as well as to select the time display format.
6. PhoneLink
This function allows mirroring the screen of iOS-based devices, as well as to mirroring and controlling Android-based devices. In order to control Android- based devices you need to activate the “Debug over USB” option on your Android device.

DISPOSAL
Upon expiry of its service life the appliance can be disposed of separately from ordinary domestic waste. You can turn it over to a specialized electric and electronic appliance disposal and recycling centre. The materials will be processed in accordance with their classification. By turning the discarded appliance over for recycling You will make a considerable contribution to environmental protection. You can obtain a list of electric and electronic appliance disposal and recycling centers from Your local municipal authorities.

CERTIFICATION DATA, GUARANTEE

The product is certified in accordance with the Law on Consumer Rights Protection. This appliance complies with all official national safety standards applicable to electric appliances in the Russian Federation. The service life of this item determined by the Manufacturer as per Item 2, Cl. 5 of the RF Law on Consumer Rights Protection is 5 years from the date of sale to the end user, provided the item will be used in strict accordance with the present manual and the applicable technical standards. Upon expiry of the service life please contact the nearest authorized service centre for suggestions as to further operation of the appliance. DEAR CONSUMER!
The guarantee period for all appliances amounts to 12 months from the date of sale to the end consumer. With this Warranty Card the Manufacturer confirms the proper condition of the appliance and undertakes to repair, free of charge, all defects caused by the Manufacturer’s default.
GUARANTEE MAINTENANCE TERMS

  1. The guarantee shall be valid if the following documentation conditions are observed:
    • The original Warranty Card shall be filled out correctly and clearly, indicating the of appliance model, serial number and sale date, the stamp of the seller company and signature of its representative shall be available, as well as the stamps on each coupon and the buyer’s signature in the Warranty Card. The Manufacturer reserves the right to reject guarantee maintenance if the buyer fails to provide the abovementioned documents or if the information contained therein is incomplete, illegible or ambiguous.

  2. The guarantee shall be valid if the following operation conditions are observed:
    • the appliance is used in strict accordance with the present manual;
    • the safety rules and requirements are observed.

  3. The guarantee does not apply to regular maintenance, cleaning, installation and setup of the appliance at the owner’s location.

  4. The guarantee does not apply in the following cases:
    • mechanical damage;
    • normal wear of the appliance;
    • non-observance of operation requirements or erroneous actions on the part of the user;
    • improper installation or transportation;
    • natural disasters (lightning, fire, flood, etc.), as well as any other causes beyond the Manufacturer’s or Seller’s control;
    • ingress of foreign objects, liquids or insects into the inside of the appliance;
    • repairs or modifications to the appliance by unauthorized persons;
    • use of the appliance for commercial purposes (loads exceeding
    normal domestic application), connection of the appliance to utility and telecommunication networks incompliant with national technical standards;
    • failure of the following accessories, if replacement of these is allowed by design and does not involve disassembly of the appliance:
    a) remote control units, rechargeable batteries, replaceable batteries (power cells), external power supply units and chargers;
    b) consumables and accessories (packaging, covers, slings, carry bags, mesh screens, blades, flasks, plates, supports, grilles, spits, hoses, tubes, brushes, nozzles, dust collectors, filters, smell absorbers);
    • for battery-powered appliances – operation with inappropriate or depleted batteries;
    • for rechargeable battery-powered appliances – any damage caused by improper battery charging and recharging.

  5. The present guarantee is provided by the Manufacturer in addition to the consumer rights determined by the applicable legislation and does not limit these rights in any way.

  6. The Manufacturer shall not be made liable for possible damage, directly or indirectly inflicted by CENTEK brand products on people, domestic animals, the consumer’s or third persons’ property if such damage is inflicted as the result of non-observance of appliance installation and operation requirements, deliberate or negligent actions (omission) by the consumer or third persons, as well as of force majeure circumstances.

  7. Service centers will only accept appliances in a clean state (there should be no food residues, dust and other contamination on the appliance).
    The Manufacturer reserves the right to change the design and specifications of the appliance without prior notice.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Cause
Unit is not functioning Ignition key in OFF position. If the unit is

connected as per instructions, turn ignition key to АСС position. Fuse blown. Replace fuse.
Buttons don’t work| Software malfunction. Press reset button or turn unit off then on.
No sound| Volume set to the minimum. Increase volume. Faulty connections. Check for proper connection. MUTE button pressed. Turn mute function off.
Automatic station search not functioning| Broadcast signal too weak. Use manual tuning. Check for proper antenna connections.
STEREO indicator flashing| Check for proper station frequency adjustment. Press ST button on RC unit to select Mono mode.
Noise, picture jerking, no color| Check integrity of the input file. Wrong video color system selected. Select PAL or NTSC color system according to input signal.
No playback from USB/SD/MMC/TF| Check data carrier compatibility. Try using a different flash drive or SD/MMC/TF with less data on it.
RC unit doesn’t work| Replace battery. Point the RC unit into the IR receiver on the main ubut panel.
