Safety precaution

When using your appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following.

  1. Read all instructions prior to using.

  2. Do not allow this item to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children. This appliance is not intended for use by children.

  3. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
    they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  4. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  5. Do not use with damaged cord or plug. Do not use if it has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped in water. Return it to the service center for examination, repair or adjustment.

  6. It is recommended to regularly inspect the appliance to avoid a hazard.

  7. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or the appliance in water or other liquids. This may cause personal injury and/or damage to the product. See instructions for cleaning.

  8. Fully unwind the power cord before use.

  9. Never remove the plug from the socket by pulling the power cord. Always unplug from the plug gripping the area.

  10. Do not let cord hang over the edge of the table, counter, or touch hot surfaces. Do not place on or near a gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven. Do not let the power cord become knotted.

  11. Unplug from power outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow unit to cool before removing parts and before cleaning the appliance.

  12. Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.

  13. Any maintenance other than cleaning should be performed at an authorized service center.

  14. Use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electrical shock, injury or damage to the product.

  15. The unit is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

  16. Do not use outdoors.

  17. This appliance is for household use only.

  18. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose. Misuse may cause injury.

  19. To protect against fire, do not operate the unit in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.

  20. Extreme caution should be exercised when using or moving the appliance containing food or other hot liquids.

  21. Do not move the appliance during cooking.

  22.  Use only a level, dry and heat-resistant surface. Do not place the appliance on the edge of a bench or table during operation. Ensure the surface is level, clean and free of water and other substances.

Short cord instructions
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
If an extension cord is used:
–The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
–The longer cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled by children or tripped over unintentionally.

Assembly and initial use

  1. Take the appliance out of the package and remove all the packaging material.

  2. Remove the grill plate by pressing the unlocking button and take them out.

  3. Before using it for the first time, clean the grill plate with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. Then thoroughly dry the components.

  4. Insert the grill plate, make sure that grill plate inserted into the place correctly.
    The grill plate has two sides, one is grooved side, the other is flat side; choose the desired side when insert plate.

  5. Ensure that drip tray is inserted correctly at the back of appliance.

  6. Connect the plug to a properly installed socket, ensure that the voltage matches your domestic power supply.

Operation

  1. Plug in, hear a beep sound, all indication lights turn on and off. “OFF” shows on display.

  2. Select food program ”Defrost, Barbecue, Reheat, Sear” by pressing button ”Menu”, select the desired food program until food program is flashing. Or select cooking
    mode “Upper Broil” “Lower grill” “Both” by pressing the button.

  3. Adjust the time and temperature by pressing “˄” “˅” buttons;

  4. Press button “START/Cancel” to start preheating (Remark: if without press button “START/Cancel” within 15 seconds, the unit will enter into standby mode ”OFF”), then “PrE” and setting temperature shows on display, and indication light in blue color.
    Close the grill plates during preheating. When preheating process is complete, the unit beeps 5 times and the indication light turns green.

  5. For better result, add a little cooking oil or cooking ingredients to the plates. Put the food on grill plate and press button “START/Cancel”, the unit starts counting down and the indication light turn yellow. (if without pressing button “START/Cancel” within 30 minutes and unit will go into standby mode “OFF”).
    Note: ● During cooking, you could press button “START/Cancel” to exit current working and select desired function
    ● During cooking, you could press button “˄” “˅” to adjust time/temperature, the unit will start cooking according to new time/temperature within 3 seconds.

  6. When countdown is over, the unit beeps five times and goes into standby mode, “donE” show on display and the indication light turns red.

  7. Press button “START/Cancel” and “OFF” shows on display.

  8. Open the lid by lifting the handle only. Remove the food with a heat-resistant plastic spatula. Never use sharp metal tongs or a knife as these can cause damage to the
    non-stick coating of grill plates.
    Note: It’s normal that the unit may have a slight odor during first or second use, the odor will disappear with use.

How to open to 180 degree (flat position):

  1. Use the handle to open the unit and create a angle 110°as pic1, press the top cover to level with handle as pic2, then press the handle & top cover to flat position as Pic3;
  2. Pls open the top plate to 180 degree (flat position) before preheat.

Cleaning and maintenance

Even if the appliance is not being used, disconnect the mains plug from the socket before cleaning it and/or the individual parts.

  1. Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allows it to cool down completely.
    Caution: The grill is still very hot. It takes a while to cool down.

  2. Press the unlock buttons to removes the plates from the grill.

  3. After removing the grill plates, you can clean them in warm soapy water or in the dishwasher.

  4. Remove the drip tray at the back of the appliance wearing gloves, empty the drip tray into a heat-resistant pan, rinse it in warm, soapy water and dry it thoroughly later.

Note: Before removing the drip tray, make sure that the temperature of oil or oil residues is less than 40ºC, otherwise it can cause burn injuries if it’s too hot.

This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or replacement of this product or component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with returning the product to us. If the product or component is no longer available, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value. Prior to a replacement being sent,
the product must be rendered inoperable or returned to us. This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions., or darnage to the product resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. This warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to make a warranty claim.
