Before you get started
Prerequisites
You have a modern electrical installation. You have a wireless smart hub
(552-00001) and a home network with an internet connection.
Before you get up and running, it is recommended to check the website page on
the Niko Home Control for the traditional wiring ecosystems. You can access
this page by scanning the QR code on page 1.
Difficulty level
Installation and configuration of the smart plug is plug and play.
Estimated duration
Between 10 and 20 minutes.
This product must be installed in accordance with national regulations.
Wireless smart hub
- If you did not yet do so, install and register the wireless smart hub (552-00001). Follow the instructions in the accompanying manual.
Niko Home app

Download and install the Niko Home app on your smartphone. Log in and, if prompted, upgrade your Niko Home Control installation.

Use the app to add the smart plug to your installation.
Start the pairing process by choosing Add a device and selecting Smart plug from the options.
Hardware installation -
When prompted by the app, plug the smart plug into a socket outlet.

The LED on the smart plug starts flashing orange and green alternately to indicate the smart plug is connecting to your Zigbee® network.

When the LED turns off, the smart plug is ready to use. You can now plug in a device.
Warning: Do not stack smart plugs.
Start using your installation -
Start using your Niko Home Control installation. Use the app to program your devices to give them another function or have them start a routine. Check the online manual and ecosystem to get inspired.
Reset procedure
A Press and hold the button on the smart plug. The smart plug’s red LED first
flashes for about 5 seconds and then turns on continuously.
B Let go of the button. After 3 seconds, the smart plug is reset and can be
unplugged.
C When left plugged, the LED starts flashing orange and green alternately to
indicate its search for a Zigbee® network. Since no connection can be
established, the LED will eventually turn off.
LED behavior
| LED off: The smart plug is switched off, or the smart plug is not powered or
malfunctioning.
Green LED continuously on: The smart plug is switched on and is working
normally.
Orange and green LED flashing alternately: The smart plug is connecting to the
Zigbee® network.
Green LED flashing: The smart plug is executing a software upgrade.
Red LED flashing: The smart plug is preparing a reset.
Red LED continuously on after flashing for 5 seconds: The smart plug is
executing a reset.
Red LED continuously on: The smart plug has been used outside the normal
operating conditions and has gone into over-temperature or load protection
mode. Remove the plugged-in device and follow the troubleshooting instructions
in the technical manual (scan the QR code on page 1).
