Be sure to use a DC SV, 1A AC adapter. (The free warranty applies only
within Japan.) There is the risk of fire, electric shock and product
failure.
Connect the charging USB cable to the base. There is the risk of
fire, electric shock and burns.
Be sure to hold the USB plug when pulling out the charging USB cable.
(Do not touch metal parts.) Also do not plug or unplug the cable with
wet hands.

the wires in the cord.
Do not put the device in a location where there is the possibility of
water submersion, such as in the shower or bathtub.
Avoid submersion of the device in water or in any other liquid, with
exception of the handle. There is no risk if it is lightly splashed with

Be sure to turn the power OFF and disconnect charging cable before cleaning
or caring for the product. There is the risk of electric shock, fire,
ignition and burns.
Do not use with the charging USB cable tied in a bunch. There is the
risk of fire or electric shock.
Use only the provided charging USB cable. There is the risk of
electric shock, short circuit, ignition and product failure.
Do not use if the charging USB cable is damaged. There is the risk of
electric shock, short circuit, ignition and product failure. If the charging
USB cable is damaged, be sure to request replacement from the retailer where
you purchased the product.
In the event of any abnormality, turn OFF the unit power and
immediately unplug the charging USB cable. Do not use the product when
there are any abnormal conditions such as smoke, abnormal noise or abnormal
odor.
Do not allow the charging USB cable to become wet (do not wash them or
immerse them in water). Make sure the charging USB cable and charging
connector are dry before using the product. There is the risk of electric
shock, short circuit, ignition and product failure.
Do not scratch, damage, modify, forcibly bend, pull on, twist or bundle
together the charging USB cable.
Do not put a heavy object on the cable. Do not allow the cable to
become pinched in other objects. There is the risk of breokoge.
If you sense an earthquake or thunder, immediately discontinue use
and turn OFF the power. Unplug the charging USB cable.
Do not use overloaded outlets. There is the risk of electric shock,
short circuit and ignition.

Charging USB cable

The charging USB cable and tips are accessories and are not covered by the
warranty.
Tip types and oral care uses
A. Classic Jet Tip
– To clean between teeth and gum lines
B. Tongue Cleaner Tip
– To clean a tongue surface
For reasons of sanitation, it is recommended that you replace the tip every 6
months.

To improve quality, the design and specifications of the main unit and
accessories may change without notice.
GETTING STARTED
It is recommended that this product be used after you brush your teeth.
Use twice a day, for 1 minute each time (maximum 5 minutes). The product can
be used every day.
If using in succession, space each use at least 2 hours apart.
Charge the product before using it for the irst time
-
Charging starts when the main unit and charging USB cable are connected as shown in the gure.
While charging, the battery indicator will slowly blink blue. -
When charging is completed, the battery indicator blinks once every 3 seconds.
Disconnect the charger from the main unit and outlet (or USB port). -
When the remaining charge is low during use, the battery indicator blinks rapidly 3 times in repetition. After the power is turned OFF, it blinks 3 times each, repeating 9 times, to notify the user.

At room temperature of around 25°C, a full charge will be reached in approximately 4.5 to 5 hours.
When used once a day, a full charge will allow the product to be used for around 4 weeks.
The charging time and operating time will vary depending on the remaining battery charge and the charging environment.
Caution
- Before charging, check that the charger connector is free of dirt and water drops.
- When using the AC adapter (not provided), plug the adapter directly into the wall outlet and do not use overloaded outlets.
- When charging, avoid the use of a high-output AC adapter. Use a DC 5V, 1A AC adapter.
- When charging for the rst time after purchasing the product, fully charge the product before using it.
- When using the product for the rst time, or when the product was not used for a long period, the product may only be usable for a short time even when the indicator showed that it was fully charged. If this occurs, charge the product again before using it.
- Use only the provided charging USB cable.
- Do not charge in a bathroom, close to a sink, or in other locations exposed to high temperature or humidity.
Filling the Reservoir
Remove the reservoir, open the lid, and ll with water or warm water. Firmly
pressing down, return the reservoir to the main unit and close the lid.
Inserting and Removing Tips
Insert tip into the center of the Water Flosser handle, pressing down firmly
until the tip clicks into place. The colored ring will be flush with the top
of the handle if the tip is correctly locked into place.
To remove tip from the handle slide the tip eject button on the handle.
Caution
While the main unit is operating, do not slide the tip eject button.
Prime Unit (First Time Use Only)
Set the pressure control dial on the main unit to “10,” and point the handle
and tip into the sink.
Turn power and water ON until water shows from the tip. If there is no
problem, turn the water ON/OFF switch and the power button OFF.
Adjusting the Water Pressure
When using for the first time, turn the pressure control dial on the main unit
to the lowest setting, “1.” Gradually raise the water pressure to suit your
preferences. Use the product in accordance with instructions from a dentist.
Adjusting the Tip Direction
Turn the tip rotation knob to adjust the tip direction.
Using the Water Flosser
Press the power button and lean your body over the sink. Using care to
prevent water from splashing, slightly close your lips and let the water flow
from your mouth into the sink. Turn water switch ON. When finished, turn water
switch and power OFF. During use, you can stop the water flow by sliding the
water ON/OFF switch on the handle to the OFF position.
The power will automatically turn OFF approximately 3 minutes after the power
button has been pressed.
Caution
- Be sure to place the tip in your mouth before turning the water ON/OFF switch to ON.
- Do not press the tip forcefully against your teeth or
It is recommended that you start with your molars and work your way toward the
front teeth.
Insert the tip into your mouth and aim the water so that it contacts your gums
perpendicularly. Move the tip smoothly along your gums, stopping it briefly at
the spaces between the teeth. Continue until you have cleaned the inside and
outside of both the upper and lower teeth.
One-Minute Timer/30-seconds Pacer
Around 30
seconds after starting use, the product stops temporarily. This notifies you
that you should move to the other arch of the oral cavity. After another 30
seconds (around 1 minute after the start of use), it stops temporarily again.
This notifies you that the recommended usage time has been reached.
Subsequently the temporary stop notification function does not activate until
the main unit power is turned OFF.
Depending on the water pressure setting, the level of water remaining in the
reservoir after 1 minute may vary.
When Finished
When finished with use, press the power button once to turn OFF the power.
(Blue light will be on for several seconds and then turn off.)
When the remaining charge is low during use, the battery indicator blinks
rapidly 3 times in repetition. After the power is turned OFF, it blinks 3
times each, repeating 9 times, to notify the user.
In order to keep the main unit and reservoir clean, empty the remaining liquid
in the reservoir after each use. A small amount of water will remain inside
the reservoir but this does not represent a problem for health.
Finally wipe off any water droplets on the main unit and reservoir using a
towel or other dry cloth.
To install the reservoir back onto the main unit, slide the reservoir toward
the top of the main unit.
Caution
If you used mouthwash or other solution besides water, see “Using Mouthwash or
Other Solutions” (P. 11) section.
HOW TO USE TONGUE CLEANER TIP
Set the water pressure to the lowest setting and place the tip near the center
of your tongue.
Gently press the tip against your tongue and pull it from the back to the
front. Adjust the water pressure to suit your preferences.
CLEANING YOUR WATERPIK® WATER FLOSSER
Using Mouthwash or Other Solution
The Waterpik® Water Flosser can use mouthwash or other solution. In order to
prevent clogging, after using a solution other than water, fill the reservoir
with warm water, then direct the tip toward the sink and operate the main
unit until the reservoir is empty.
Caring for the Product (daily)

Main unit
Turn the power OFF, then use a soft cloth and a neutral detergent that does not contain a polishing agent, and wipe the product as necessary -
Reservoir
Pour out the water in the reservoir and dry it in a well ventilated location. If there is dirt on the surface, wipe with a soft cloth and a neutral detergent that does not contain a polishing agent. The reservoir can be washed in a dishwasher if it is placed on the top rack. (The tips cannot be washed in a dishwasher.) -
Rrips
Wipe with a soft cloth and a neutral detergent that does not contain a polishing agent.
Caution
Do not wipe the main unit with alcohol, paint thinner, benzene, nail polish remover or other These may damage the product surface.

Cleaning Inside the Main Unit (once every 1 – 3 months)
Depending on the mineral content of the water that is used, water scale may
build up inside the main unit.
If it is not removed, it may decrease product performance.
- Fill the reservoir with water or warm water and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar or grain vinegar.
- Direct the handle and tip toward the sink and operate the main unit until the reservoir is empty.
- Fill the reservoir with clean water or warm water and repeat the same procedure around 3 times to rinse out the main unit.
Leakage
If water leakage occurs as a result of damage to the hose, contact the YA-MAN
Call Center (P. 16).
Battery Maintenance and Disposal
If the Water Flosser will be stored for a prolonged period (6 months or more),
fully charge it before storing. This product uses a rechargeable lithium ion
battery. When the battery lifetime is reached, dispose the battery in
accordance with local waste sorting rules. The battery cannot be changed by
the user. Contact a retailer or the YA-MAN Call Center (P. 16).
BATTERY REMOVAL
Warning
The battery of this product is not replaceable. Please do not disassemble the
product unless you want to dispose it.
Otherwise the warranty service will be void.
Battery Removal
The lithium-ion battery used in this product can be recycled and is a valuable
resource.
- If a device contains a battery, remove the battery before disposing of the device.
- Before removing the battery, be sure to turn OFF the power and disconnect the charging USB cable and AC adapter (not provided).
- Being careful not to get injured, use a screwdriver to remove the battery.
- When removing the battery, do not damage the battery with hard objects. * There is a risk of heating and ignition.
- Dispose of removed batteries in accordance with local government waste separation rules (waste disposal and recycling methods).

- Turn unit over. Remove the 4 rubber feet by carefully prying them upward with a small flat head screwdriver.
- Remove 6 screws from the indicated areas with a small Phillips head screwdriver.
- Turn unit upright and remove reservoir and reservoir lid.
- Remove upper housing by pulling it upward as shown.
- Remove screws from the indicated areas with a small Phillips head screwdriver.
- Pull circuit board assembly aside. Remove 4 screws from the indicated areas with a small Phillips head screwdriver.
- Lift up battery cover as shown.
- Remove battery from housing.
- Cut the black battery wire with a pair of scissors or side-cutters then cut the red battery wire.
NOTE: DO NOT CUT BOTH BATTERY WIRES AT THE SAME TIME.
Storing the Product
- After use, be sure to fully wipe o any water and dry the product before storing it. If the product is left with water on it, it may cause corrosion inside the main unit.
- When the product will not be used for an extended period, be sure to charge the battery fully and clean the main unit before storing it.
- Do not place the product close to re, exposed to direct sunlight, in a bathroom or other location exposed to high temperatures and humidity or in an unstable location. Store it in a clean location with good ventilation.
- Store the product in a location out of the reach of children.
Maintenance and Inspection
- If the product was not used for a long period of time, be sure to check that the product operates correctly and safely before using it.
- If there is any problem with operation of the product, before requesting repairs, refer to the “Troubleshooting” (P. 14) section and check the trouble. If the problem is still not corrected, contact the retailer where you purchased the product, or prepare the purchase invoice and contact the YA-MAN Call Center (P. 16).
- If the product has malfunctioned or is damaged, contact the retailer where you purchased the product.
TROUBLESHOOTING

of the broken tip.
Hit eject button and remove screw. Tip will come out with the screw.

(corrosion caused by chemicals), mineral scale accumulated due to
insufficient cleaning, or the hose deteriorated when the product was not used
for a long time.| Perform cleaning or contact the YA-MAN Call

Water leaks from
the bottom of the
main unit| The product was left with water in it, or the hose is not connected
correctly to the main unit.| Drain the water from the reservoir.
Check whether the threaded part where the hose is attached is fully tightened.
Tip Ejects while
in use| Most commonly caused by build-up, defective tip, or defective unit.|
Try a different tip to see if problem still occurs.
If mouthwash, sodium peroxide, or other chemical was used, use water to rinse
out the hole in the handle where the tip is inserted.

What is the warranty on this product?
2 Years. Tips and charging USB cables are accessories, and thus not covered by
the warranty.
How long does it take to charge the product?
Around 4.5 to 5 hours. When used once a day, a full charge will allow the
product to be used for around 4 weeks.
Can I use solutions in my water lesser?
Mouthwash or other solution can be used. Each time after such a solution was
used, fill the reservoir with clean water and perform cleaning of the device.
Failure to rinse the unit may result in loss of product performance and/or
function. Growth of bacteria could also be enhanced. Do not use iodine, alkali
salt (saline solution), or high- concentration essential oils that cannot
dissolve in water.
How long does the water last? How much does the reservoir hold?
The reservoir capacity is approximately 651 mL (enough for approximately 90
seconds of use).
What is the pressure range?
Can adjust to ten levels between 10 and 100 PSI.
My buttons are stuck on the handle. What do I do?
Soak your handle in a solution of 50/50 water and vinegar for at least 30
minutes.
Most likely caused by not cleaning with additive use.
What is a guideline for how often I should use the product?

Warranty Information
A warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase is provided and covers
problems that occur during ordinary use. (It does not cover consumable
supplies or accessories.)
- After the warranty period expires, product shipping expenses will be borne by the customer.
- In the case of problems occurring after the warranty period expires, the customer will be charged for the cost (actual expense) of repairs.
- There are cases when a charge for repairs will be incurred even during the warranty period. Please read the explanation of the warranty terms carefully.
- In the event of a problem with the product, contact the retailer or the YA-MAN Call Center.
Warranty Terms

Problems which occur under conditions of normal use as prescribed in the instruction manual, labels attached to the product, and other precautions shall be repaired at no charge by the retailer where the product was purchased.

To receive free repairs of a problem that occurred during the warranty period, present the product and this warranty certificate, and request repairs by the retailer where the product was purchased.

If your address will be changed, please consult in advance with the retailer where the product was purchased.

If the product was a gift and it is not possible to request repairs by the retailer where the product was purchased listed in this certificate, please contact the YA-MAN Call Center.

Even during the warranty period, a charge shall be required for repairs in the following circumstances.
