Important Advice
The room climate ideally should be 18-20 °C (64-68 °F) at 50-60 % RH, this way
excessive gaping (back drying) can be avoided.
Dust and loose dirt can
be removed drily using a soft cloth, a suitable broom or vacuum cleaner. Do
avoid scratches by removing the dirt regularly and gently as well as by using
felt pads under the furniture or suitable chair castors.
Please take into account that when cleaning the hardwood floor with liquids
the cleaning cloth should be not more than fog-damp. Too much water results in
unnecessary swelling of the wood, and if you “water” your floor repeatedly it
may get damaged.
How often the floor needs to be cleaned essentially depends on its use. The
table below shall be a guideline:
Traffic exposure | Moderate | Medium | l Heavy |
---|---|---|---|
Initial care | 1 x | 1 x | 1 x |
Routine cleaning, dry | every day or as needed | every day or as needed | every |
day
Routine cleaning, fog-damp| 8-14 days| 2-4 days| every day
Maintenance care| 2-3 x p.a.| 4-6 x p.a.| 8-12 x p.a.
Basic cleaning| 1 x p.a.| 2 x p.a.| 4 x p.a.
Depending on the actual use of the hardwood floor you will have to deviate from the intervals listed.
