Product Information

The Livoo Digital Kettle is an electric kettle that operates at a voltage of 220-240V~ 50-60Hz and has a power rating of 1850-2200W. It comes with a digital display that shows the temperature of the water, and it has a function for keeping the water warm for up to 2 hours. The kettle is available in different languages including French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, and Portuguese. Product Usage Instructions

  • Before using the Livoo Digital Kettle, read the instruction sheet carefully and keep it for future reference. Follow these instructions to use the kettle:
    1. Check that the voltage of your wall outlet corresponds to the rated voltage of the kettle.
    2. Fill the kettle with fresh and cold water up to the maximum level indicated on the kettle.
    3. Place the kettle on its base and connect it to a power source.
    4. Press the power button to turn on the kettle.
    5. The digital display will show the temperature of the water as it heats up.
    6. If you want to keep the water warm after it has boiled, press the keep-warm button. The function will remain active for up to 2 hours.
    7. When you are done using the kettle, unplug it from the power source and let it cool down before cleaning it.
  • To clean and maintain the Livoo Digital Kettle:
    1. Unplug the kettle from the power source.
    2. Allow the kettle to cool down before cleaning it.
    3. Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft towel.
    4. To clean the interior of the kettle, fill it with equal parts of water and vinegar and boil the solution. Then rinse the kettle with clean water.
    5. Never immerse the kettle in water or place it in a dishwasher.
  • Follow these safety instructions while using the Livoo Digital Kettle:
    1. Do not use the kettle for any purpose other than heating water.
    2. Do not allow children under 8 years old to use or handle the kettle. Children aged 8 years and above can use the kettle only under adult supervision.
    3. Do not operate the kettle while unattended.
    4. If the cord of the kettle is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized service center.
    5. Never let the cord of the kettle hang over the edge of a table or counter.
    6. Never use the kettle without water in it.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
  4. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  5. The appliance must not be immersed. Never place it into the dishwasher.
  6. Never let the machine operate while unattended.
  7. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard (*).
  8. Never use the appliance outdoors and always place it in a dry environment.
  9. Always remove the plug from the socket in case of any malfunction, before filling or after use, or before cleaning.
  10. Do not allow the appliance or its supply cord to touch hot surfaces or to come into contact with any heat sources.

  21. Always set any control to “off” before unplugging from the socket.
  22. Make sure the ambient temperature is above 0°C, otherwise the appliance does not function properly.
  23. Always descale the appliance regularly to ensure optimum performance and prevent malfunction.
  24. Make sure that the appliance completely cooled down before cleaning.
  25. This kind of appliance cannot worked continuously, it is not a professional type of appliance. It is necessary to make temporary stops.
  26. It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into direct contact with food.

  28. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of external timer or separate remote control system.
  29. Never used the appliance :
    • If the power cord is damaged
    • In case of bad operation
    • It has been damaged in any manner
    • It has been submerged in water
    • If you dropped it
  30. Unwind the cord of its flat to avoid the superheating of the appliance.
  31. The guarantee can only cover the manufacturing defect and household use. All deterioration resulting of failure to respect the safety instruction are not cover by the guarantee.
  32.  Never try to open the casing yourself.

  36. DO NOT remove the lid while the water is boiling.
  37. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.

  40. WARNING: Do not use the appliance if the surface is cracked.

Use of the device

  • Basic operation
    Before the first use, fill the kettle with clean water to its maximum capacity and boil the water. Then drain the water and repeat the process a second time. The kettle is then ready for use.
1. To open the kettle lid, press the button on the lid handle.it
2. Always fill your kettle between the ‘MIN’ and ‘MAX’ marks on the product
3. Place the kettle base on a flat, dry and level surface. Put your kettle on the base. Close the lid tightly.
4. Plug in the stand. The display lights up. The display shows the various functions available and the temperature of the water in the kettle.
  • Standby mode
    If your kettle’s display shows only the ON/OFF button, your appliance is in standby mode. The standby mode is activated automatically after 1 minute without using the kettle. To exit standby mode, press the ON/OFF button.

  • Boiling water

    • When the display is on, press the ‘boil’ icon. The kettle will heat the water to 100°C. While the kettle is heating, the display will show the temperature of the water inside the kettle.
    • You can stop the heating at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button.
  • Heating water

    • You can use the + and – buttons to set the temperature at which your kettle should heat the water. The setting is made in 5°C steps, from 40°C to 100°C. As soon as you have selected the temperature, the kettle will start to heat the water to the selected temperature.
    • While the kettle is heating, the display will show the temperature of the water inside the kettle. You can stop the heating at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button.
  • Warm function

    • You can use the keep warm function, press the button after you have selected the heating temperature. The button flashes when working.
    • This function automatically restarts the heating of the water so that the water temperature always remains at the selected temperature. To switch off this function, press again the button. The keep warm function remains active for 2 hours. The keep warm function will not be active if the kettle is not on its base.
  • 70°C, 80°C, 90°C functions

    • The 70°C, 80°C, 90°C functions are pre-set temperatures in the appliance to heat the water in your kettle optimally for 70°C, 80°C or 90°C.
    • When you select one of these three functions, the heating temperature is displayed, the keep warm function is activated and the water starts to boil.
    • An automatic safety cut-out has been fitted for protection against overheating, it will operate if the kettle is switched on when containing insufficient water.
    • If the automatic safety cut-out has operated, switch the kettle off, disconnect from the power outlet and allow the kettle to cool down for 5 to 10 minutes before using it again.

Cleaning and maintenance

  1. Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down before cleaning.

  2. For exterior surfaces, slightly wipe over with a soft damp cloth.

  3. For the inner surface of the kettle, use a soft damp cloth or a soft brush to remove the residues.
    Never use abrasive product.

  4. Never immerse the kettle or its base in water.

  5. Dish washer is forbidden.

  6. The appliance has to be descaled regularly to ensure optimum performance. The frequency depends on the water hardness and the boiling frequency.

  • If you begin to notice the increase of the noise during boiling, or if the kettle switches off before water being boiled, this indicates that descaling is necessary.
  • Generally, the descaling should be done in the following periodicity:
    • With soft water, at least once every 6 months.
    • With hard water, at least once every 3 months.
  • You can use descaling agent (In this case read carefully the instructions supplied with the product) or vinegar (one part vinegar to three parts water).
  • After the descaling, rinse the inner of the kettle thoroughly with clean water.

DISPOSAL

Correct disposal of the unit (Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

  • (Applicable in the European Union and the rest of Europe that have adopted separate collection systems countries). The European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal household waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The symbol of the crossed out dustbin is marked on all products to remind the obligations of separate collection.
