DOC290 Egg Boiler Steam and Rice Cookers

Product Information

The Livoo Egg Boiler is a kitchen appliance that can be used to boil eggs quickly and easily. It has a power rating of 400W and operates on a voltage of 220-240V~ 50-60Hz. The device has a heating element, egg shelf, measuring cup, and a switch to turn it on and off. It also comes with a lid to cover the eggs while boiling, and a pin to prick the eggs before boiling. The device is designed for use in domestic environments and should not be immersed in water.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Wash the lid, egg shelf, and measuring cup in soapy water before use, then rinse thoroughly.
  2. Measure the proper amount of water according to the marking on the measuring cup.
  3. Place the egg shelf inside the device.
  4. Put the eggs on the egg shelf, making sure they are not touching each other.
  5. Close the lid.
  6. Plug the device into an electrical outlet.
  7. Turn on the device by moving the switch to the “on” position.
  8. The device will automatically turn off when the eggs are boiled to the desired level of doneness.
  9. Once the device has turned off, unplug it from the electrical outlet.
  10. Carefully remove the eggs from the egg shelf and place them in cold water for a few minutes to stop the cooking process.
  11. Use the pin provided to prick a small hole in each egg before peeling.
  12. Clean the device after use by wiping it down with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the device in water.

Safety Instructions

Please, take time to read well the instruction sheet before the first use and keep them for future use. Misuse of the appliance can damage it or hurt the user. Assure that you use the appliance for the use for which it is designed. We refuse any responsibility for the damages by incorrect use or bad manipulation.

  1. Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
  2. Check regularly the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if the cord or appliance shows any signs of damage.
  3. The safety instructions do not by themselves eliminate any danger completely and proper accident prevention measures must always be used.
  4. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use. Keep out of reach of children or incompetent persons.
  5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons (*) in order to avoid a hazard
  6. The power cord must be properly plugged into the unit socket, otherwise, improper contact will cause overheating and may damage the heating element.
  7. Do not put the unit in a wet or unstable place, or near a heating range to avoid deformity.
  8. The appliance becomes hot during cooking. Keep your face and hands away from the steam outlet and the appliance when removing the lid.
  9. Use the appliance only for domestic purposes and in the manner specified in these instructions.
  10. Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
  11. Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
  12. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
  13. Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
  14. Unplug the appliance when not in use.
  15. It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into direct contact with food.
  16. Regarding the instructions for cleaning surfaces in contact with food, thanks to refer to the below paragraph “cleaning” in the manual.
  17. Make sure the appliance is unplugged before inserting, removing or cleaning one of the accessories. It is absolutely necessary to remove the accessories before cleaning them.
  18. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote control system.
  19. Keep this manual with the appliance. If the appliance is to be used by a third party, this instruction manual must be supplied with it.
  20. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
  21. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  22. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  23. The appliance must not be immersed.
  24. Caution: avoid injuries from the egg-pricking device.
  25. Examples of appliances for the domestic environment include appliances used for routine household functions in the domestic environment and which may also be used by non-technical users for routine household functions in :
    • shops, offices, and other professional environments,
    • farms,
    • hotels, motels and other residential environments, and breakfast-type environments
  26. There is potential injury from misuse.
  27. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.

Before use
Wash the lid, egg shelf and measuring cup in soapy water before use, then rinse thoroughly.

Use of the device (Figure 1)

First measure the proper amount of water according to the marking on the measuring cup: Boiled egg, boiled egg, or hardboiled egg depending of your choice. You have different scales on the measuring cup depending on the quantity of egg. Place your eggs in the tray, head down, in each slot. When your eggs are positioned in the tray, pierce the top of each egg using the tip under the measuring cup. Place the tray loaded with your eggs into the machine. Place the lid on the device.. Plug in the appliance, and press the switch into position, the blue indicator lamp will be on, and the egg cooker start to cook. When hearing a beep sound, means the cooking process is ready. Please press the switch into the position and the light will be off. Your eggs are cooked. Carefully remove the lid using only the handles on either side. Note: Do not use egg cooker when didn’t pour the water into the cooker.

Keep warm function: When you have finished cooking, turn the switch to the position to activate the keep warm function, fill with water to the maximum level, the light on the switch will come back on. The appliance will keep your eggs warm by heating them intermittently. Once all the eggs have been removed from the egg cooker, turn the appliance off by turning the switch back to the position.

Note: If there is no water left in the egg cooker, the overheating protection will automatically switch off the appliance.

Cleaning and maintenance

Unplug the appliance before cleaning and cool the cooker. Use clean and damp cloth to wipe the heater plate. Do not immerse the heating base in water. Use soapy water to clean the rack and cover and thoroughly dry them.

Correct disposal of the unit (Electrical and Electronic Equipment). ( Applicable in the European Union and the rest of Europe that have adopted separate collection systems countries). The European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal household waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin is marked on all products to remind the obligations of separate collections. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their product.
