Product Information

• The Southampton light fitting comes with SKU# 230887 and 230888. It has a rated voltage of 220-240V~ 50Hz and is designed to be installed by a licensed electrician.
• The light fitting is protected against water penetration to IP23 standards and has a maximum wattage rating that should not be exceeded.
• This product comes with a 12-month warranty, which will be void if there is any damage due to improper usage or modification to the fitting. Failure to comply with the instructions in this manual may increase the risk of damage or injury and will void the warranty.

Product Usage Instructions

1. Make sure power to the circuit you are working on has been switched OFF before commencing any electrical work.

2. Remove all packaging material from the product.

3. Decide on the suspension length of your pendant by installing the different lengths of rod (H) onto the canopy (E) and body (I). Ensure the rubber grommets (G) are installed at all the various joint positions.

4. Remove the mounting bracket (B) by loosening the decorative nuts (F) from the canopy (E).

5. Use the mounting bracket (B) as a template to mark the screw positions on the ceiling.

6. Install the mounting bracket (B) onto the ceiling by using appropriately sized mounting screws (C) and anchors (A). Ensure the screws (C) and anchors (A) used are suitable for the mounting surface.

7. Remove the cover (D) from the terminal block and connect the
   mains supply wire using the following wiring scheme:
   Mains Supply Wire: Yellow/Green, Brown
   Fitting Wire: Blue

8. Ensure the wires are secure and no bare wires are exposed. Install the cover (D) back over the terminal block.

9. Install the canopy (E) onto the mounting bracket (B) by tightening the decorative nuts (F).

10. Install a globe (K – not included) into the lamp holder (J). Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.

Please ensure that all wiring and installation of the light fitting must adhere to local and national wiring rules, such as AS/NZS 3000:2007/Amendment 2:2012 Electrical installations. The fitting must be installed undercover, in a location where water cannot enter the canopy (E), and should not be installed in seaside locations. The mounting point must support 2 times the weight of the fitting.

Installation requirements

• Must be installed by a licensed electrician.
• All wiring and installation of the light fitting must adhere to local and national wiring rules. eg. AS/NZS 3000:2007/Amendment 2:2012 Electrical installations.
• This fitting is rated IP23. This must be maintained during installation.
• Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.
• Select a suitable location for installation;
• This fitting is protected against water penetration to IP23 standards (rain-proof luminaire), which is water spraying through an angle of 120°, 60° on either side of the vertical.
• The fitting must be installed undercover, in a location where water cannot enter the canopy (E).
• The mounting point must support 2 times the weight of the fitting.
• Not suitable for seaside locations.
• Take care not to pull any electrical wires during unpacking as this may damage the connection.
• Lay out all the components on a smooth surface and make sure there are no components missing before assembling. If parts are missing, return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection or replacement.
• Check whether the fitting has been damaged during transport. Do not operate/install any product which appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair or replacement.

Installation directions

1. Remove all packaging material from the product.

   • Earth – Yellow/Green Yellow/Green
   • Neutral – Blue or Black Blue
   • Live – Brown or Red Brown
7. Ensure the wires are secure and no bare wires are exposed. Install the cover (D) back over the terminal block.
8. Install the canopy (E) onto the mounting bracket (B) by tightening the decorative nuts (F).
9. Install a globe (K – not included) into the lamp holder (J). Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.

Safety Tips

• Always ensure the power is OFF and the fitting has cooled down before performing any maintenance, cleaning, changing the globe or adjustment to the fitting.
• To avoid injury or damage to the fitting, ensure that power leads and screws are secure before connecting the power.
• Select a suitable location away from liquids and hazards.
• Ensure that the fitting does not come in contact with corrosive chemicals, etc.
• To clean, wipe with a damp clean cloth. Never soak the fitting with water.
