Product Information

The ZION 1 LIGHT TABLE LAMP is a portable luminaire that comes in two colors, black and teak. The product has a SKU number of 286055 or 286056. It operates on a rated voltage of 220-240V~ 50Hz. The lamp holder supports a maximum wattage of 15W for LED lamps or28W for incandescent/halogen globes. The lamp holder ring, shade, decorative cap, and touch switch are included with the product. The touch switch has two modes – 3-step dimming mode and ON/OFF mode.

Touch Switch Operation
The touch switch is set to 3-step dimming mode by default. To operate the luminaire, follow these steps:

1. Press the touch switch once to turn on the luminaire at 20% brightness.
2. Press the touch switch again to increase the brightness to 50%.
3. Press the touch switch a third time to set the brightness to 100%.
4. Press the touch switch again to turn off the luminaire.

To change the touch switch mode to ON/OFF mode, follow these steps:

1. Press the touch switch once to turn on the luminaire.
2. Press and hold your finger on the touch switch for approximately 25 seconds.
3. Wait for the globe to flash and turn off before removing your finger from the touch switch.
4. After the globe has flashed and turned off, the touch switch will have changed the touch switch mode.

Installation Instructions

1. Remove all packaging materials from the portable luminaire and shade.
2. Remove the lamp holder ring from the lamp holder.
3. Install the shade onto the lamp holder and secure it with the lamp holder ring.
4. Install a globe into the lamp holder. Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.
5. Place the decorative cap on top of the shade.
6. Select a suitable location for the portable luminaire.
7. Insert the plug into the mains power socket outlet and ensure it is fully plugged in.
8. Turn the power on at the mains power socket outlet.

• This portable luminaire is covered by a 12-month warranty valid for in-store replacement or refund only.
• The warranty period starts from the date of purchase. Please retain the proof of purchase.
• Warranty will be void if there is any damage due to improper usage or modification to the portable luminaire.
• Failure to comply with the instructions in this manual may increase the risk of damage or injury and will void the warranty.

Installation Requirements

• Select a suitable location for this portable luminaire:

  • Ensure it is on a flat and stable surface.
  • This portable luminaire is suitable for indoor use only.
  • Do not place flammable material near or over the portable luminaire.
  • Ensure the portable luminaire is not installed in direct line of an air vent/system.
  • If the portable luminaire is placed in an area prone to moisture, ensure that the area is well ventilated, and an appropriately rated exhaust fan is used if required. Damage or corrosion caused by moisture is not a product fault, and as such is not covered under warranty.

• Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.

• Take care not to pull any electrical wires during unpacking as this may damage the connection.

• Lay out all the components on a smooth surface and make sure no components are missing before assembling.
  If parts are missing, return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection or replacement.

• Check whether the luminaire has been damaged during transport. Do not operate/install any product which appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair or replacement.

• Do not plug into the mains power socket-outlet before or during assembly. Only do so after the portable luminaire is fully assembled with the globe installed and is ready to use for the first time.

Installation Directions

1. Remove all packaging material from the portable luminaire (F) and shade (D).
2. Remove the lamp holder ring (C) from the lamp holder (E).
3. Install the shade (D) onto the lamp holder (E) and secure with the lamp holder ring (C).
4. Install a globe (B – not included) into the lamp holder (E). Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating. 15W Max. for LED lamp or 28W Max. for incandescent/halogen globe.
5. Place the decorative cap (A) on top of the shade (D).
6. Select a suitable location for the portable luminaire (F). See the installation requirements above.
7. Insert the plug (H) into the mains power socket outlet and ensure it is fully plugged in.
8. Turn the power on at the mains power socket outlet.

TOUCH SWITCH OPERATION (3-step dimming mode)

1. The touch switch (G) is setup to 3-step dimming mode by default. (20% → 50% → 100% → off)
2. Press the touch switch (G) once, and the luminaire will turn on and light up at 20% brightness.
3. Press the touch switch (G) a second time, and the luminaire will light up at 50% brightness.
4. Press the touch switch (G) a third time, and the luminaire will light up at 100% brightness.
5. Press the touch switch (G) a fourth time, and the luminaire will turn off.
6. When in 3-step dimming mode, it will only be compatible with the following globe/lamp types:
7. a) Incandescent globe
8. b) Halogen globe
9. c) Dimmable LED lamp

TOUCH SWITCH OPERATION (ON/OFF mode)

NOTE: The touch switch (G) is setup to 3-step dimming mode by default. To change the touch switch mode to ON/OFF mode, please follow the instructions: “CHANGING THE TOUCH SWITCH MODE” below.

1. When the touch switch (G) is set to ON/OFF mode, press the touch switch (G) to operate the luminaire on or off.
2. When in ON/OFF mode, it will be compatible with the following globe/lamp types:
3. a) Incandescent globe
4. b) Halogen globe
5. c) Dimmable LED lamp
6. d) Non-dimmable LED lamp
7. e) 3-step dimmable LED lamp

CHANGING THE TOUCH SWITCH MODE
(3-step dimming mode → ON/OFF mode) or (ON/OFF mode → 3-step dimming mode)

1. Press the touch switch (G) once, to turn on the globe/lamp.

2. Press and hold your finger on the touch switch (G) for approximately 25 seconds.
   Wait for the globe to flash and turn off before removing your finger from the touch switch (G).

3. After the globe/lamp has flashed and turned off, the touch switch (G) will have now changed the touch switch mode. If the touch switch mode has not changed, try again.

• Always ensure the power is OFF and the portable luminaire has cooled down before performing any maintenance, cleaning, changing the globe or making any adjustment to the portable luminaire.
• The external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire cannot be replaced; if the cable or cord is damaged, the luminaire shall be destroyed.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the portable luminaire.
• Handle the portable luminaire and shade with care to avoid any damage or breakage.
• Select a suitable location away from liquids and hazards.
• To clean, wipe with a soft damp cloth. Do NOT soak or immerse the product in water or other liquids.
• Ensure that the fitting does not come in contact with corrosive chemicals/solvents or abrasive cleaners etc..
