Congratulations on your purchase of the PUZU PZ-C7 DSP amplifier. The high- speed digital signal processor amplifier was designed in the united states with sound quality that exceeds that of many conventional class D designs while offering stunning efficiency.
When installed and configured properly this PZ-C7 DSP Amplifier will bring a new level of realism and impact to your mobile entertainment system. To get the best performance from your DSP amplifier PUZU recommends that you have this amplifier installed and configured by an experienced professional.

ABOUT THE MANUAL AND WARRANTY

This manual describes the basic requirements to install the PUZU PZ-C7 DSP amplifier, the installation and configuration of this amplifier can be complex.if you do not possess the necessary knowledge, experience, and/or tools to perform this installation please contact your local authorized PUZU dealer to arrange for professional installation. Keep all instructions and your sales receipt for future reference and warranty purposes.

12. HOST/ACC This button is DSP star way, please put it on the HOST (high level) side as default, it means DSP starts with a DC signal, usually 6V from the car radio. if you can not operate DSP by HOST please try ACC, this means your car start by REM, some car with KEYLESS-GO use this way.
13. STATUS LIGHT (When you right connect the unit, the red light blinks as default when you playing Bluetooth or USB, the light turns to be blue)

ABOUT CONNECTION & DIAGRAM BASIC CONNECTION

PUZU Car DSP Amplifier harness with 3 terminals, Connect 1 with your factory radio harness and connect 2 with your car radio. and connect terminal 3 to PUZU Car DSP Amplifier.

• DSP Amplifier uses the same power source as your car radio.
• You can use the PUZU DSP amplifier cable directly plug into your factory radio. if you changed your car radio to an aftermarket head unit, then you need an adaptor.
• PZ-C7 with 4 channels high-level input and 4 channels high-level output and 6 channels low level (RCA) output. with complete 6X15 bands, EQ separately control.

YOU CAN USE THE SOLUTION 2 AS FOLLOWS HIGH-LEVEL INPUT WITH LOW LEVEL(RCA) OUTPUT (NEED EXTRA AMPLIFIER)

Please connect the separate blue wire(control line) to your extra amplifier REM.

Thank you for choosing PUZU for your Car Audio system and for sharing our philosophy. PUZU PZ-C7 Car DSP Amplifier software with the best PUZU technology in terms of digital signal processing (DSP)+built into the amplifier.
Before reading this manual and considering using this software, first make sure the product is installed correctly. Refer to the specific user’s manual of the product if necessary. In order to obtain the best results, we recommend you have your PUZU PZ-C7 installed by Your PUZU dealer.

SOFTWARE INSTALLATION WARNING
Before connecting your PUZU PZ-C7 software, close all open programs, connect DSP with the PC by USB data cable, and allow your PC to auto-install the hardware of the USB data cable. Open the software,the installation process runs automatically. if you encounter any problems, please uninstall the software and download the newest software from www.puzuaudio.com
If you can not success install the software after trying more times, please mail to market@puzuaudio.com for further help.

After you installed the software. you can see the main interface in as follow picture.

Machine connections & file load

1. The interface will show [connecting] before connecting to the machine and show[connected] if the software has been successfully connected.
2. You can save the tuning sound data to built-in modes 1-6, or you can save it to your local PC so that you can directly upload the files if you meet the same car and same audio system next time.
3. You can change the system language to Chinese/English.
4. Share your tuning parameters to another audio system with the same speaker parameters and car models.
5. Set a noise Gate,if the input signals is higher than the gate,it could be entered normally,otherwise,it will be blocked.lf the gate is set reasonably,the machine will be automatically muted when the system has no signal inut,so as to make system output quieter,adjustment range 0-20.
6. Types of sound sources are available for selection:Bluetooth,high level,and USB,the software set hi level as default.
7. select type of sound source from the drop down list.

Channel joint
You can joint the channels:Grouping Front (1 &2 channels) Grouping rear(3&4 channels),Grouping all,and Grouping Bass

This interface show the main GEQ & PEQ display by tuning 15 bands EQ parameters you can reset and bypass those parameters,and there are some useful parameters like Freq,Q, Gain,which clearly and accurately display.
a.You can tuning the high pass and low pass filter by HPS/LPS ,each channel is equipped with high pass filter and low pass filter. b.Filter typies:butterworth,bassel and linkwitz-riley c.The range of slope of filter (slope) is 6dB/Oct —48dB/Oct,and the resolution is 6d B/oct d.When you press PEQ,you can tuning the EQ by drag or pull the points any of 1-15. e.When you press GEQ,you can tuning the EQ by detail parameters you manually set it f.limiter is a circuit that allows signals below a specified input power or level to pass unaffected while attenuating (lowering) the peaks of stronger signals that exceed this threshold. Limiting is a type of dynamic range compression. Clipping is an extreme version of limiting.lf you not familar with this function and not know much about it,just let it as default.

This interface you can control the main volume for each channels,phase front left/front right/Rear left/Rear right/Center/Sub.
g.you can set all 6 channels time delay parameters seperately.you can set the time delay unit CM/MS/inch,usually we recommend you use CM

Most importantly,please save tuning parmaters to 1-USER ~ 6-USER when you finish sound tuning every time.if you have local pc file saved before,just press the load button to upload the file.

INSTALLATION STEPS OF ANDROID APP

Chanel:Press Channels ico You will see the interface,you can set each channel’s Gain/ Phase/Time delay/Open/close volume.| Link:Press the “system” button you can set the link channel function CHI &CH2 CH3&CH4, CH5&CH6,| Presets Mode:You can select PRI – PR8,save and selection,for example, if you finished sound tuning you can save to any one of them.

EQ SETTING: You can separate or group setting CH1—CH6 reset/PEQ,GEQ/ Bypass etc functions.

TIPS
you can use this sound tuning app only by android system phone not support by ios, but you can listen to bluetooth music by both ios and android system smartphone.

It’s important that you take the time to read this manual and that you plan your installation carefully,lt’s very easy to damage expensive vehicle systems in modern automobiles,Never assume that you have found appropriate wires without consulting a reliable wiring diagram or without performing signal testing with proper test equipment,if you are uncomfortable or unfamiliar with reading diagrams or testing signals,plesae enlist the services of your authorized PUZU Audio dealer to perform the installation,PZ-C7 support universeal DSP cable and No-destructive wiring harness,Plug & Play,easy install it to your car audio system

SIMPLE FAULT ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING

The harness connector does not match the original car| Harness for the car dedicated,please determine your model and the height of the model,and infrom the local dealer or agent

Products in the use of the process of noise| Make sure the host cable is properly connected to check for loosening,After the exclusion is still noise,please check the ground with the original car CD machhine shell connection.Still can not be resolved please return to the local dealer or agent.
Work indicator light does not shine,no sound| Please check if the tail has been properly connected, check the original car with or without amplifier or modeified amplifier
The original car host and the machine can’t get power on| Check whether the original power cord is connected, the original car with original car host shell,restore the original car position
there is a “pump” sound when connected the DSP with subwoofer| Plese connect the blue wire of the harness cable to your car subwoofer’s REM plug
All connection well and there is no sound come from speaker after few seconds sound come again from speaker.or there is a “zizizi” or “dididi”sounds come from speaker.| You car with speaker detection function. Solution:Between the 4 high-level input ports of the DSP power amplifier and the 4 high-level output ports of the host, each interface is connected in parallel with a 33 ohm, 10W cement resistor.
DSP can not get power on when choose”Host”start up| switch to “ACC” start up and then connect the red line of the harness cable to your car ACC line
Exist buttom noise come from speaker when play DSP| Eusually it comes from your factory radio.the noise sound source come from it,after it get through DSP, noise is amplified,you can try adjust the button”Noise get threshold”from the software by PC computer.
