Quick Reference Guide
Simple 3-Step Testing
Step 1: Insert the Test Strip
Turn on the meter by inserting the test strip.
No Coding required.
The Prodigy Voice® speaks the date and time.
“Thank you for using Prodigy Voice®. Today’s date December 9, 2010.
The time 4:04 PM.
Please apply blood to the test strip.”
Step 2: Apply Blood
Follow the audible prompts and apply your blood sample.
The meter beeps and then counts down from 6 to 1.
“Now testing.”
Step 3: Hear Results
Hear and see your accurate results in 7 seconds.
“Your blood glucose 6.6 millimoles per liter.”
Recalling Test Results
The Prodigy Voice® stores the 450 most recent blood glucose test results with date and time in its memory.
Option 1: Individual Averages
Turn the meter on by pressing the “M” button.
Press the “M” button again and the meter will display and audibly report the
most recent test result.
Use the “Up” and “Down” buttons to navigate. Option 2: Averages
With the meter off, press and hold the “M” button for five (5) seconds. The
meter will display and audibly report the 7, 14, 21, 30, 60 and 90-day
averages. Use the “Up” and “Down” buttons to navigate.
Confirmation Window
With the test strip inserted, bring the meter close to your finger or other test site and place beside the blood drop. Blood is automatically drawn into the absorbent channel once the test strip is close enough to the blood drop. DO NOT smear blood onto the test strip or place the blood on top of the test strip.
