Altitude 500 Pro Tower Fan

The Altitude 500 Pro Tower Fan is a home-use device intended to ventilate rooms. It has a maximum fan flow rate of 9.26 m3/min and requires a power input of 25W. The fan operates on 220-240V AC 50/60Hz power supply and has a seasonal electricity consumption of 6.4 kWh/a.

Installation and Assembly

Remove the packing materials and check the integrity of the tower fan. If you are unsure, do not use it.
Attach the support base (Base1 and Base2) to the tower fan.
Secure the tower fan and support base with six screws.

Operation

Control Panel

The fan can be operated either by the control panel located on the top of the fan or by remote controller.

LED Display

When the fan is plugged into a standard domestic socket, the LED screen will display the current room temperature.

Steps to Operate

Plug the fan into a standard domestic socket.
The LED screen will display the current room temperature.
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the fan on.
Press the SPEED button to select the desired level: Low, Mediu or High. The speed level will be displayed on the LED screen.
Press the MODE button to select the desired mode: Normal or Sleep. The selected mode will be displayed on the LED screen.Press the ON/OFF button again to turn the fan off.

Instructions for Use

Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance and instruct other persons using it when necessary. Keep booklet handy for further use.

GENERAL WARNNING

This device is intended for home use only, to ventilate rooms, and in the manner described in this manual: do not use it for any other purpose. Any other use is to be considered inappropriate and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for eventual damage caused by inappropriate, improper or irresponsible use and/or for repairs made to the product by unauthorised personnel.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen in shops, offices and other working environments; farm houses by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments bed and breakfast type environments
Do not touch the appliance with wet hands or feet.
Do not insert any tool, or your fingers, into the grille protecting the blades.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
The appliance must be kept out of children’s reach.
Attention: when using electric appliances, the basic safety precautions must always be observed to avoid risks of fire, electric shocks and physical injury.
Do not use the appliance if it is not operating correctly or seems damaged; if in doubt, contact a qualified technician.
Make sure that the appliance is working correctly: if not, turn the appliance off and have it checked by a qualified technician.
Always unplug the appliance before you assemble, disassemble or make adjustments to the appliance.
Do not move the appliance when it is operating.
Unplug the appliance when not in use.
Do not use the device at room temperatures above 40 °C.
Switch off the appliance before moving it.
Do not leave the device exposed to the weather (sun, rain, etc.).
Do not pull on the cord to disconnect the plug from the socket.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacture, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

INSTALLATION

After removing the packing materials, check the integrity of the Tower Fan; if you are unsure, do not use it and ask for qualified professional help. The packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) must be kept out the reach of children because they are potential sources of danger.
Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage values shown on the data plate correspond to those of the electricity supply network.
The power socket must be easy to reach so the plug can be removed quickly in case of emergency.
Do not place the appliance near sinks or other container of liquids (minimum distance of 2 meters) to avoid the risk of it falling in.
Keep the fan far away from fabrics (curtains, etc.) or unstable materials that could obstruct the air intake grille; make sure that the front is free of unstable materials (dust, etc.).
Make sure that the electric cord is not touching rough, hot or moving surfaces and not twisted or wrapped around the appliance.
Stand the appliance on a horizontal, flat surface or table; do not stand on an inclined plane.
In the event of a breakdown or poor operation, turn the fan off and ask for professionally qualified help.

ASSEMBLY

Attention: the fan can only be used if complete with the support base (base1 and base 2). Attention: always unplug the appliance before you assemble.

Snap the two parts of base together.
Attach the tower fan on the base and secure with 6 screws.

OPERATION

The fan can be operated by the control panel located on the top of the fan or by remote controller.

Plug the fan into the standard domestic socket, the LED screen will display the current room temperature.
Press the ON/OFF button, the fan will start running at HIGH speed
Press the SPEED button to select the desired level, Low, Medium, High, the speed level is displayed on the LED screen.
Press the MODE button to set the fan as Normal, Natural , or Sleep mode , the mode is displayed on the LED screen.
Press the OSC button , to allow the fan oscillate the wind direction, to stop the oscillation,
press the OSC button again, the maximum angle is 75 degree.
Press the TIMER button to set the desired auto power off time, the timer is from 1 to 12 hours, the interval is 1 hour.

NOTE1: The display becomes dark after switch on 5 minutes.

Note2: This tower fan included 4 DC fans, each fan body can be rotated by hand, the rotated angle is 90 degrees to right and left, total is 180 degree.

Remote controller

Remote controller is stored at the top of fan
Before using the remote controller, remove the plastic protection from the battery.
The remote controller battery is CR2025 type (included).

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Attention: before normal cleaning, remove the plug from the socket.

Clean the body with soft, slightly damp, cloth; do not use abrasive or corrosive products.
Do not immerse any part of the fan in water or other liquid: if this should happen, do not put your hand in the liquid, but first remove the plug from the socket. Carefully dry the appliance and make sure that all the electrical parts are dry: in the case of doubt, ask for professionally qualified help.
It is essential that the motor’s air holes be kept from dust and lint.
If the fan will not be used for long periods, it must be protected from dust and humidity; we recommend storing it in its original packaging.

BATTERIES

Keep batteries away from children and pets.
Do not mix used and new batteries.
Remove the batteries if left for long periods.
Never dispose of batteries in a fire.
Battery disposal, spent or expired batteries must be properly disposed of and recycled in compliance with local regulations. For detailed information, contact your local authority.
Follow the battery manufacturer’s safety, usage, and disposal instructions.

PLUG WIRING (UK & IRELAND)
This appliance is fitted with a moulded BS 1363 13-amp plug. This is fitted with a 3 amp fuse. If you have to replace the fuse, only those that are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 should be used. If there is a fuse cover fitted, this cover must be re-fitted after changing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged the plug must not be used. Spare fuse holders and fuses are available from electrical outlets. If the socket outlets in your home or office are not suitable for this product’s plug, the plug must be removed and disposed of safely. Attempts to insert the plug into the wrong socket is likely to cause electric hazard.

DISPOSAL
