INTRODUCTION

Notice

  1. Due to safety requirements during transportation, the camera is not fully charged when it leaves the production plant. Before using the camera for the first time, fully charge the camera by using the USB cable and connecting it to Home Base. It takes 3-5 hours.
  2. The camera was paired with Home Base before leaving the manufacturing plant. To use it, just turn it on by pressing the ON/OFF button on the bottom of the camera. When the camera starts, it plays a tone. A red light indicates that the camera is in working mode.
  3. When installing the camera, first attach the mount and camera, then use the mobile app to watch real-time video and adjust the camera angle.
  4. After the camera has been in use for a long time and the battery is low, disconnect the camera from the mounting bracket and connect it to the Home Base using the supplied USB cable. A full charge takes approximately 8 hours. The battery level is displayed in the app.
  5. If the camera consumes too much power, select the “Human Body Filtering” option in the app to filter out unnecessary events that cause the camera to wake, wake up and record frequently.
  6. Switch the “Alarm Sensitivity Level” to “High” if the cameras do not recognize some intrusions. Power consumption will be higher and batteries will drain faster.
  7. The first user to add a Home Base is the “administrator” and has maximum permissions, and other users can only use it through administrator sharing. To change the administrator, you must remove the device from the Smartlife app or insert the supplied reset needle into the RESET hole at the bottom of the Home Base, then the new administrator will open the app and select “+” to add the Home Base kit as per the user guide.

ACCESS TO THE HOME BASE NETWORK

Connecting Home Base to the Internet
  1. Plug the power adapter into the Homebase power port and into a wall outlet. Then connect the Home Base to the Home Router using the supplied Ethernet cable. Wait for Home Base messages to announce that it is connected.

  2. After unscrewing the screws at the bottom of the camera, remove the bottom cover and long press the button at the bottom of the camera for 5-10 seconds. A red light indicates successful start-up.
    Remark: After starting, the back cover must be reinstalled. to the camera!

  1. For IOS, search for “Smartlife” in the App Store.
  2. For Android, search for ” Smartlife ” in Google Play.

  2. After successful registration, log in to your account with your password.

Creating a home

Remark: If you need to share the Camera Set with family members, first “Create a home” in the APP.

  1. 1Click on the “Me” page and “Manage your home”.
  2. Click on “Create a home”.
  3. Enter “Home Name” and “Location”.
  4. Click on the “Save” button.
  5. The home is successfully created.

How to add Home Base

Remark:

  1. Connect the Home Base to power and the Internet (see 3.1).
  2. Turn on the cameras.
  3. Start adding when the power indicator (green) and the mains indicator (blue) light up.

  1. Click on the down arrow.
  2. Select the created household to which you want to add Home Base.
  3. Click the “Add Device” button to enter the category list.
  4. Click the scan icon in the top right corner.
  5. Scan the QR code at the bottom of the Home Base page.
  6. Wait for Home Base to connect to the server.
  7. The page will prompt you that the addition was successful, click on the “Done” button.

Adding Home Base via standard adding

  1. Click the down arrow to go to the administration home page.
  2. Switch the created home.
  3. Click the “Add Device” button to enter the category list.
  4. Find the “Gateway Control” category and select “Gateway (Zigbee)”.
  5. Add Home Base by voice prompt and picture text;
  1. Connect the gateway to the router and make sure the phone and gateway are on the same network. Then check that the indicator light is on.
  2. Click the small circle in front of “Confirm the two green lights are on”.
  3. Click on the “Next” button.
  1. Wait for the app to automatically search for Home Base within 2 minutes.
  2. Find the “Home Base” device and click on the ” ” button.
  3. The page will prompt you that the addition was successful, click on the “Done” button.

Sharing Home Base with family and friends
  1. Click “Manage your home”.
  2. Click on the home page you created.
  3. Click on the “Add Member” button.
  4. Click on “Application Account”.
  5. Enter the name and account of the member to be added.
  6. Click the “Save” button, Home Base is successfully shared.

CHARGING THE CAMERA

Charging The Camera

Remark: When charging the camcorder, remove the back cover after unscrewing the bottom screw of the camcorder. Once fully charged, the back cover needs to be put back on the camera.

Use the supplied USB charging cable to connect the Type-C port on the bottom of the camera to the Home Base and charge the battery. Start charging and see the following instructions from the camera:

The standby time of the cameras varies according to the number of alarms and wake-ups per day. After a full charge it can be used for 3-4 months. This value is calculated on 10 wake-ups per day and 10 seconds of recording

CAMERA INSTALLATION

Wireless Signal Testing

To determine where to install the camera, you need to test the strength of the wireless signal.

  1. To test the strength of the wireless signal, view the live camera preview page in the app and go to together with your mobile phone to the place where you want to install the camera.
  2. If the wireless signal is not stable, move the camera as close to the Home Base as possible.

Hang the camera 1.5-2m above the ground. This height maximizes the detection range the camera’s motion sensor.

Warning! Do not place the camera in direct sunlight! The PIR sensor is inoperable in direct sunlight! The camera will not record any movement.

Installing the camera

The camera can be installed indoors or outdoors.

  1. Attach the drilling template to the wall and drill the holes according to the template.

  2. Align the camera mount port with the mount, and then snap it into the mount. Adjust the camera angle using the live preview in the app on your phone.

  3. To detach the camera from the mounting bracket, press and hold the clip on the bracket to detach it.

The warranty does NOT cover:

  • using the device for purposes other than those for which it is intended,
  • installing firmware other than that installed on the device.
  • electrical or mechanical damage caused by improper use.
  • damage caused by natural influences such as water, fire, static electricity, power fluctuations, etc.
  • damage caused by repairs carried out by an unqualified person.
  • illegible serial number
  • battery capacity will decrease after 6 months of use (6 month battery life guarantee)

Disposal
The crossed-out container symbol on the product, in the accompanying documentation or on the packaging means that all electrical and electronic equipment, batteries and accumulators in the European
Union must be disposed of as separated waste at the end of their life.
These products must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste.
