1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

  • Read and understand this manual and all safety signs before using this appliance.
  • Class 2 appliance.
  • This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • There are no userserviceable parts inside the device. Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or spare parts.
  • Do not immerge the device in any liquid. Keep the main unit away from high heat and fire.
  • Do not connect any appliance with a load exceeding 16 A.
  • Heaters and similar appliances should never be left unattended during operation. It is recommended not to connect such appliances to timers.
  • Warning: This device contains an internal rechargeable battery. When the device reaches end-of-life, it must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

3. General Guidelines

  • Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on www.velleman.eu.
  • Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
  • Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
  • All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
  • Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
  • Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
  • Keep this manual for future reference.

4. Operation

Initial Setting

  • Connect the timer to the mains and switch on. Leave for 10 minutes to charge the internal backup battery.
  • Use a sharp object (e.g. a pen, pencil) to press R and clear all current information.
  • The timer is now ready for setting.

Time Setting

  • Press and hold C+, and press W+ until the actual day is displayed.
  • Continue by pressing H+ or M+ until the current hour or minute is displayed.
  • Release both buttons to complete the setup.

Programme Setting
Note: Make sure your programmes do not overlap. If programme setting overlap, the timer switch-on or switchoff will be executed according to the programme time, not by programme number. The switch-off mode has priority over the switch-on mode.

Manual/Auto Mode

  • Operating modes cannot be changed during programme setting.

  • Press MANUAL as necessary to display: ON (the connected appliance remains switched on), OFF (the
    connected appliance remains switched off) or AUTO (the connected appliance follows the programmed time settings).

  • When the mode switches from ON to AUTO, the timer keeps the ON settings until the next timer
    programme is executed.

Summertime

  • Simultaneously press C+ and MANUAL. The clock advances 1 hour and the timer displays S.
  • To revert to winter setting, simultaneously press the two buttons again. The clock regresses 1 hour.

5. Maintenance

  • Remove the appliance from the mains before cleaning.
  • Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.
