Product Information

The 8-port patch panel with 0.5U CAT 6A is used for indoor purposes only and is not intended for outdoor use. It is an RJ45 patch panel that comes with 8 sockets and has a length of 254 mm (10 inches). The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach from children and pets. The contact with moisture must be avoided.

Product Usage

  1. Handling: The product should be handled with care as jolts, impacts or falls can cause damage.
  2. Operating Environment: The product should not be placed under any mechanical stress, extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, steam, and solvents. It should be protected from high humidity, moisture, and direct sunlight. Do not switch on the product after it has been taken from a cold to a warm environment.
  3. Anschluss und Montage: Connect the patch panel to the network cables by plugging them into the sockets of the patch panel. Mount the patch panel on a rack or wall using screws.
  4. Zuordnung der Pins: The pins are assigned as follows: Pin 1 – Brown, Pin 2 – Brown, Pin 3 – -, Pin 4 – -, Pin 5- -, Pin 6 – -, Pin 7 – -, Pin 8 – -.
  5. Cleaning and Maintenance: To clean the product, use a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use any solvents or cleaning agents.
  6. Disposal: Dispose of the product in accordance with local regulations and laws.

General

Handling

Operating environment

  • Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
  • Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, strong jolts, flammable gases, steam and solvents.

  • Do not switch the product on after it has been taken from a cold to a warm environment. The condensation that forms might destroy the product. Allow the product to reach room temperature before you use it.

Operation

  • Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the product.
  • If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and pro-tect it from any accidental use. DO NOT attempt to repair the product yourself. Safe op-eration can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
    • is visibly damaged,
    • is no longer working properly,
    • has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
    • has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.

  • For cabling use either the colour coding according to T568A or T568B (in Europe T568A is usually used).
  • Do not mix the two colour codes on your network, or otherwise the network connec-tions may not work.

Cleaning and care

Important:

  • Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions. They damage the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
  • Do not immerse the product in water.

Disposal

This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU market. This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste.
