The Lenovo 4-Port Serial Expansion Card is designed to provide additional serial ports to your computer. It comes with 4 serial ports and can be easily installed on your PC. The card is compatible with PCIe x1, x4, x8, and x16 slots and can be used on Windows operating systems.

Jumper Settings

The jumper settings for the COM ports are provided in the user manual. The factory default setting is the Factory mode in each COM port list. The standard RS232 serial port is the M.1 mode in each COM port list. Follow the illustrations provided in the manual to set the jumpers. It is important to note that changing the jumper positions arbitrarily can cause hardware damage.

Product Usage Instructions

Before performing any operations, read the instructions for use provided in the user manual. The Lenovo 4-Port Serial Expansion Card is easy to install on your computer. Follow the steps below:

  1. Power off your computer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Open the computer case and locate an available PCIe x1, x4, x8, or x16 slot.
  3. Remove the metal bracket covering the PCIe slot on the back of the computer case.
  4. Gently insert the Lenovo 4-Port Serial Expansion Card into the PCIe slot and make sure it is securely in place.
  5. Replace the metal bracket on the back of the computer case and fasten it with screws.
  6. Power on your computer and install the necessary drivers for the card to function properly.
  7. Set the jumper caps on the card according to your desired configuration. Follow the illustrations provided in the user manual to set the jumpers.
  8. The card is now ready to use. Connect your serial devices to the appropriate COM ports provided by the card.

Remember to keep the user manual for future reference, and do not change the jumper positions arbitrarily to avoid hardware damage.
