CAUTION: Your transformer should be able to supply power to both the Chime and Smart Video Doorbell. Do not use a Direct Current power supply. Not all chimes are compatible with the Smart Video Doorbell.
Mechanical Chime – For 12-24VAC normal operation, the Power Kit must be installed to give consistent power to your Smart Video Doorbell. In the Feit Electric app, choose “Mechanical Chime” in the Bell setting after pairing the device to function properly. Check your installation if the Power Kit is buzzing or hot to touch. Your wiring may be wrong. Consult a certified electrician. for further assistance.
Electronic Chime – For 12-24VAC normal operation, DO NOT install the Power Kit. In the Feit Electric app, choose “Mechanical Chime” or “None” in the Bell setting after pairing the device to function properly.
Intercom System – Not compatible with the Smart Video Doorbell.
CAUTION: Use 5VDC 1A power adapter (included) for charging. To hardwire unit, requires a transformer (not included):
12-24VAC 60Hz. This product is not user-serviceable. Do not attempt to open the product enclosure for any reason. Before installing your Smart Video Doorbell, thoroughly review-sufficient electrical wiring experience, please refer to a do-it-yourself wiring handbook or have your Smart Video Doorbell installed by a certified electrician. Reliable operating temperature is shock or fire hazard if improperly installed or attached -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C). This product must be installed in accordance with the applicable installation code by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and hazards involved. Min. 90°C supply conductors.

Description
NOTE: Stores up to 10 days of IU continuous recording based on 128 GB MicroSD card (sold separately). Results will vary based on file size, resolution, compression, bit rate, content, audio and other factors.
NOTE: To access the MicroSD card IU slot, remove the back cover. Set the battery pack aside but DO NOT detach it.
NOTE: Before installing, fully charge IU the battery pack using the supplied Micro USB Cord (BB) and Power Adapter (CC).

Battery Installation

Removing the Mounting Bracket
Remove the Mounting Bracket (II) from the Smart Video Doorbell (AA).

Marking screw positions
Mark screw positions using the Mounting Bracket (II) on your wall.

Installing the Mounting Bracket
Drill holes at the marked points if installing on a hard surface such as concrete or brick. Insert Mounting Anchors (FF) into holes. You can skip this step if installing on wood, siding or attaching with tape.

Attaching the Mounting Bracket
Use the Mounting Screws (EE) to attach the Mounting Bracket (II) to the wall.

Placing the Doorbell into the Mounting Bracket
Insert the Smart Video Doorbell (AA) into the Mounting Bracket (II).

Securing the Doorbell to the Mounting Bracket
Use the supplied Star-shaped Screwdriver (HH) and Star-shaped Screw (GG) to secure the Smart Video Doorbell (AA) to the Mounting Bracket (II).
AC Power Supply Installation (Optional)

Shut Off the Power
Shut Off the power to your doorbell at the circuit or fuse breaker before installing.

Removing the Mounting Bracket
Remove the Mounting Bracket (II) from the Smart Video Doorbell (AA).

Connecting the Power
Attach your doorbell wires to the terminal screws on the back of the Mounting Bracket (II). Use the provided Wire Extenders (MM) and Wire Terminal Block (LL) if your existing doorbell wires are too short. Tighten the terminal screws with the screwdriver.
NOTE: Your existing doorbell wires can go to any terminal scews. -
Attaching the Mounting Bracket
Use the Mounting Screws (EE) to attach the Mounting Bracket (II) to the wall.

Placing the Doorbell into the Mounting Bracket
Insert the Smart Video Doorbell (AA) into the Mounting Bracket (II).

Securing the Doorbell to the Mounting Bracket
Using the supplied Star-shaped Screwdriver (HH), secure the Smart Video —-…_ Doorbell (AA) to the Mounting Bracket (II) using the Star-shaped Screw (GG).
Double-Sided Tape Installation
Attaching the Mounting Bracket with tape
As an alternative, mount the Mounting Bracket (II) using the provided Double- sided Tape (DD).
- Clean the mounting area thoroughly (surface must be free of dust, dirt or grease).
- Stick Double-Sided Tape (DD) at the back of the Mounting Bracket (II). Peel the Double-Sided Tape (DD) and place your Smart Video Doorbell (AA) on a flat surface.
Power Kit Installation

Turn Off Power
Shut Off power to your doorbell and mechanical chime at the circuit or fuse breaker before installing. Ring your doorbell again to confirm the power is Off. You will not be able to hear any sound.
NOTE: Your transformer should be able to supply power to both the Chime and Smart Video Doorbell. Do not use a Direct Current power supply. Not all chimes are compatible with the Smart Video Doorbell.
Mechanical Chime – For 12-24VAC normal operation, the Power Kit must be installed to give consistent power to your Smart Video Doorbell. In the Feit Electric app, choose “Mechanical Chime” in the Bell setting after pairing the device to function properly. Check your installation if the
Power Kit is buzzing or hot to touch. Your wiring may be wrong. Consult a certified electrician for further assistance.

Intercom System – Not compatible with the Smart Video Doorbell. -
Locate Existing Mechanical Chime
Locate your existing mechanical chime. It is a box that produces the sound when your doorbell is pressed. Remove the cover (here is an example of a mechanical chime).

Install Power Kit
Slightly unscrew the “FRONT” terminal and “TRANS” terminal. Connect each wire of the Power Kit (JJ) to each screw. It does not matter which wire connects to which screw. Leave the existing doorbell wires and tighten both screws.
Locate the Power Kit (JJ) included in the packaging. The transformer terminal on the mechanical chime is usually labeled TRANS, T, AC, or O. The front terminal on the mechanical chime is usually labeled FRONT, F, 1, or C1.

Turn On Power and Test the Doorbell
Use the included Power Kit Double-sided Tape (NN) to stick on the back of the Power Kit (JJ). Position the Power Kit (JJ) where space is available. It is important that the wires DO NOT interfere with any moving mechanical parts of the chime. Turn On power at the circuit or fuse breaker. If the Smart Video Doorbell (AA) works properly, you can place the cover back over the chime.
APP Setup
Download and install the Feit Electric app
- Search for the Feit Electric app in the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Download and install the Feit Electric app on your smart device.
Set up the Smart Video Doorbell using the Feit Electric app
- Check to be sure the Smart Video Doorbell is in pairing mode. The RED status light must be blinking ,,;,. rapidly to connect. If the light is not blinking, press ~ and hold the Reset Button for 5 seconds or until you hear an audible tone. Use the Feit Electric app to complete the set up.
- Tap Add Device or the + sign. Tap Security & Camera and then select Doorbell. You will be prompted to enter your Wi-Fi network and password.
- Follow the directions in the Feit Electric app to pair your device using the QR code.
- You can find more pairing methods in the drop down menu on the device set-up page.

PROBLEM CORRECTIVE ACTION
Doorbell will not power up
|
- After completing installation, make sure your circuit breaker is in the On position. If the doorbell does not power on, consult a certified electrician to ensure the transformer is properly installed for mechanical chimes.
Doorbell will not connect to my Wi-Fi network|
- Make sure the LED is blinking red. If the LED is not blinking red, press and hold Reset Button for 5 seconds or until you hear an audible tone, located at the bottom of the doorbell.
- Make sure the Wi-Fi network is a 2.4GHz network. Device will not connect to a 5GHz network.
- Test your Wi-Fi network with other devices such as your phone or computer to make sure it is operating properly.
- The Wi-Fi connection may be out of range during pairing. Use your phone to check the Wi-Fi signal strength, it is recommended to have at least 2 signal bars showing for proper connection.
- Your Wi-Fi network password is case sensitive, make sure you are entering it correctly.
The doorbell is offline|
- There could be a temporary issue with your internet connection (e.g., service disruption). Please try again in a few minutes.
- Make sure your Wi-Fi router is turned On.
- The doorbell may not have power to it, make sure the wall switch and breaker is in the On position.
- Make sure the doorbell is getting a good signal from your Wi-Fi router. Use your phone to check the Wi-Fi signal strength, it is recommended to have at least 2 signal bars showing for proper connection.
- The doorbell may have been disconnected from your Wi-Fi network. Press and hold the Reset Button until you see a blinking red LED and hear an audible tone. Follow directions in the App Setup section of the manual to re-connect the doorbell to your Wi-Fi network.
What do the blinking LEDs mean?|
- Blinking RED = Pairing Mode
- Solid RED = Rebooting
- Blinking BLUE = No Wi-Fi Connection
- Solid BLUE = Connected to Wi-Fi
Live video stream is slow to load| Doorbell streaming issues may be caused by any of the following:
- Your phone’s cellular connection, which relies on mobile coverage.
- Limited internet bandwidth at home. For example, other video streaming services running at the same time on your network can cause congestion slowing down the internet upload and download speeds.
- Wi-Fi reception may not be stable or work reliably if the doorbell’s Wi-Fi signal strength is less than 2 signal bars. You may need to install a Wi-Fi repeater or extender to boost the Wi-Fi sianal.
How do I reset the doorbell to reenter pairing mode?|
- Press and hold the Reset Button located at the bottom of the doorbell until you see a blinking red LED and hear an audible tone.
The doorbell is not recording|
- Under the SD Card and Record Settings in the Feit App, make sure the Record Switch is turned On.
- Make sure that the MicroSD Card is installed correctly. To confirm that the doorbell is recognizing the MicroSD Card, go to the Settings menu in the Feit Electric app. Then, go to the SD Card and Record Settings menu and make sure the MicroSD Card capacity menu shows total, used, and free space. If this does not appear, consider reformatting the MicroSD Card.
WARNING: Reformatting MicroSD Card will delete all videos stored on card . Please go through the troubleshooting section before doing so or contact our Customer Support Team.
How do I set the doorbell to Event or Continuous Recording?|
- In the Settings menu under SD Card and Record Settings make sure Record Switch is turned On, and then select Event Recording or Continuous Recording.
How can I check the available space on the MicroSD Card?| In the Settings menu
under SD Card and Record Settings, you will see Used Space and Free Space.
Note : Doorbell only supports 128GB or less MicroSD Cards with
FAT32 format. (MicroSD Card NOT INCLUDED.)
What happens when the MicroSD card reaches full capacity?|
- Once the MicroSD Card reaches full capacity, new videos will start rewriting (deleting) over the oldest videos.
Can I use a new MicroSD card if I do not want to record over existing videos?|
- Yes, you can use a new MicroSD Card if you do not want to record over existing videos. Remove the existing MicroSD Card from the back of the doorbell and replace a new one not exceeding 128GB capacity. Once this is completed, format the new MicroSD Card by going to the SD Card and Record Settings and pressing Format SD Card, then Confirm.
WARNING: Reformatting MicroSD Card will delete all videos stored on card . Please go through the troubleshooting section before doing so or contact our Customer Support Team.
