RGMT Demolition Automatic Watch
Product Information
The Demolition Automatic Watch is a timepiece that runs on a self-winding
mechanical automatic movement, which means it does not need a battery. It is
powered by the motion of the user’s wrist during the wear of the watch. It
also has a manual winding mechanism for starting it moving. The watch has a
screw-down crown to ensure water resistance and it comes with a Helium Release
Valve feature for underwater use.
Product Usage Instructions
- Using the Screw-Down Crown
- Always make sure that your crown is securely screwed down to ensure water resistance. Positions [1], [2], and [3] are not secured for water resistance.
- DO NOT unscrew your crown while you are in any environment where moisture is present.
- To unscrew the crown, turn it anti-clockwise until it turns freely without tension, then gently pull it out to the desired position for watch setting.
- To screw the crown back, push it all the way in towards the watch, then turn it clockwise until it is securely screwed down.
- Failure to securely screw down the crown after setting the watch may affect its water resistance.
- Winding the Mainspring
- Before using this watch, it is recommended that you manually wind the mainspring to start it moving.
- To wind the mainspring, unscrew the crown by turning it anti-clockwise to position [1]. Then, turn the crown clockwise to wind the mainspring for 5-10 times until it starts to move naturally after shaking slightly.
- Push the crown in then screw it securely.
- It is important to wear the watch for at least 8 (eight) hours each day to ensure it is fully wound. The watch will only wind when
- it is on your wrist and your arm moves. If your watch stops overnight or loses time, it means it is not being fully wound.
- Setting the Time
- Unscrew the crown and pull it out to position [3] (2nd click).
- Turn the crown clockwise to set the correct time, taking a.m./p.m. into consideration when setting the hour and minute hands.
- Push the crown in then screw it securely.
- Setting the Date
- Unscrew the crown and pull it out to position [2].
- Turn the crown anti-clockwise to set the correct date.
- Push the crown in then screw it securely.
5. Helium Valve Usage
Your timepiece is equipped with a Helium Release Valve, which is a specialized feature used in certain conditions.
- If you are using your watch in conditions where Helium may be prevalent at underwater depths, refer to the enclosed booklet or visit www.imrgmt.co for instructions on how to use the Helium Release Valve.
DEMOLITION AUTOMATIC WATCH
This timepiece is equipped with a self-winding Mechanical Automatic movement.
It does not need a battery.
It is powered by the motions of the user’s own wrist during the wear of the
watch. You may also choose to wind the watch manually.
For more details on operating this timepiece please refer to the enclosed
booklet or visit : IM.RGMT.CO
OVERVIEW
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE UNSCREWING THE CROWN:
SCREW-DOWN CROWN
Screw-down crowns are used to ensure water resistance. ALWAYS be certain that
your crown is securely screwed down ( Position [0] is secured. Positions [1],
[2] and [3] are not secured for water resistance ).
Do NOT unscrew your crown while you are in any environment where moisture is
present.
USING THE SCREW-DOWN CROWN
DO NOT PULL THE CROWN UNLESS IT IS UNSCREWED FIRST
- TO UNSCREW: Turn the crown anti-clockwise until it turns freely without tension. GENTLY pull the crown out to the other desired positions for watch setting (see specific operating instructions on the following pages).
- TO SCREW: Push the crown ALL THE WAY IN (towards the watch) THEN begin to turn clockwise until it is securely screwed down.
NOTE: Failure to SECURELY screw down the crown after setting the watch may affect its water resistance.
BEFORE YOU USE THIS WATCH, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU MANUALLY WIND THE
MAINSPRING TO START IT MOVING.
THIS WATCH IS AN AUTOMATIC WATCH EQUIPPED WITH A MANUAL WINDING MECHANISM.
WINDING THE MAINSPRING
- Unscrew the crown by turning it anti-clockwise.
- When it is in position [1], turn the crown clockwise to wind. Wind 5- 10 times and it will start to move naturally after shaking slightly.
- Push the crown in then screw it securely.
This watch MUST be worn for at least 8 (Eight) hours each day to ensure it is fully wound. An automatic watch will only wind when the watch is on your wrist and your arm moves. Winding the watch by the crown will put power on the spring but not enough to allow the watch to function fully. If your watch stops overnight or loses time it means it is not being fully wound.
HOW TO SET THE TIME
- Unscrew the crown and pull it out to position [3]-(2nd click).
- Turn the crown clockwise to set the correct time.
- Push the crown in then screw it securely.
- Take a.m./p.m. into consideration when setting the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
- Always be certain that your crown is SECURELY SCREWED; this will prevent moisture from entering in.
HOW TO SET THE DATE
- Unscrew the crown and pull it out to position [2].
- Turn the crown anti-clockwise to set the correct date.
- Push the crown in then screw it securely.
- Do not set the date between 9:00 P.M. and 4:00 A. M.
HELIUM VALVE USAGE
Your timepiece is equipped with a Helium Release Valve.
While this is a very specialized feature that is only used in certain
conditions, the below instructions should be considered if you are using your
watch in conditions where Helium maybe prevalent at underwater depths.
While Diving and use in Non-diving condition the Helium Valve should remain
closed and tightly screwed in flush to the case (Fig 1)
If while diving the user is exposed to a prolonged period of exposure to
pressurized Helium such as decompression chamber :
Please allow the Helium release valve to regulate internal pressure of the
timepiece.
Simply unscrew the valve (Fig 2) until Helium exposure is complete.
Once complete, please close the valve again and also ensure that the screw down crown is also tightly secure for maximum protection and water resistance.
WATER RESISTANCE
- The water resistance indicated on your timepiece serves only as a guide. Actual water resistance may vary depending on a number of important factors including temperature, water salinity, and actual use underwater.
- The water resistance of your timepiece may eventually be compromised over time with general wear and tear and the use of your watch under adverse conditions.
- Always remember to employ the screw-down crown (if available) to maintain the water resistance of your timepiece. Warranty may be voided if the screw down crown has not been properly employed.
- Note that you should NEVER wear your watch in a jacuzzi, hot shower or steam room where steam may enter the case despite the watertight seals used to protect your watch.
- The steam may cause condensation inside your watch, which may affect and damage the inner workings of your watch – which would also not be covered by the warranty.
HOW TO USE A DEPLOYANT CLASP
- Flip the cover.
- Press the buttons on the clasp sides.
HOW TO RESIZE METAL BRACELET
On the inside of the bracelet, you will see some small arrows engraved on removeable links.
