Product Information

The Feit Electric ALERT/WIFI Smart Audible Alarm is an indoor device that can be controlled using the Feit Electric app. It is designed to emit an audible alarm to alert you of any unusual activity or emergencies in your home. The device can be powered with 3.0V CR123/CR123A Lithium Batteries or through a Micro USB Port connection. It only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Networks and can be paired with your smartphone or tablet through Bluetooth.

Usage Instructions

1. Before installing the device, read the instructions carefully and save them for future reference.
2. If you have any questions, problems, or missing parts, visit feit.com/help for further assistance before returning to the store.
3. Use the tools required to mount the sensor, including a Phillips screwdriver, pencil, and power drill. The hardware required for installation is included in the package.
4. Press and hold the Reset Button for five seconds to enter pairing mode.
5. Connect your device to the Feit Electric app by downloading and installing it on your smartphone or tablet. Be sure to connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network that covers your installation location.
6. Open the Feit Electric app to complete the setup process. The device must be rapidly blinking to connect.
7. The device can emit an audible alarm when necessary. To activate the alarm, press the Reset Button on the device or through the app.

Description

Reset Button| Press and hold the Reset Button for five seconds to enter pairing mode.

Setup and Installation

1. Setting Up Your Device

   • Remove the Audible Alarm (AA) back cover by turning it counterclockwise.
   • Insert two 3.0V CR123/CR123A Lithium Batteries (BB) or remove the tag if the batteries are inside the device.
   • Place the back cover on the Audible Alarm (AA). Make sure the mounting hole is at the top. Close the back cover by turning it clockwise.
   • Follow the instructions in the App Setup section to set up the device in the Feit Electric app.
     NOTE: This device is normally intended to be powered by a USB power adapter. Use batteries only as a backup power source. You cannot damage the device by using it without batteries.

2. Installation Instruction

   • Mark screw position on your wall.
     NOTE: You can skip this next step if installing on wood or siding.

   • Drill a hole at the marked point. Insert the Mounting Anchor (EE) into the hole.

   • Fasten the Mounting Screw (DD) into the anchor. Leave about 1/4” of the screw threads exposed.

   • Align the Audible Alarm (AA) mounting hole onto the screw. Adjust the screw if necessary to hold better.

3. Connect Using Micro USB Cable

   • Connect the Micro USB Cable (CC) to the Audible Alarm (AA).
   • Connect the other end of the cable to a USB power adapter (sold separately).
   • Plug into any indoor receptacle.

APP Setup

Download and install the Feit Electric app

• Search for the Feit Electric app in the App Store or Google Play Store.
• Download and install the Feit Electric app on your smart device.

Be sure to connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network that covers your installation location.

Connect Your Device

Open the Feit Electric app to complete the set up

• Tap Add Device or the + sign.

NOTE:
The device must be rapidly blinking to connect. If not already blinking, press and hold the Reset Button for five seconds to enter pairing mode.

Turn on Bluetooth

• The device name(s) will pop up on the Feit app. Tap on Go to add, then select the device to add.
• You will be prompted to enter your Wi-Fi network name and password.
• Only one device may be added at a time using Bluetooth setup. Repeat this step to add additional devices.
• Alternative setup options and help instructions are available in the Feit Electric app.

Troubleshooting Tips

If you are having difficulty connecting:

• Make sure the Wi-Fi network is a 2.4GHz network. Feit Electric smart device will not connect to a 5GHz network.
• Test your Wi-Fi network with other devices such as your phone to make sure it is operating properly.
• The Wi-Fi connection may not have good coverage during setup. Try moving the device closer to your Wi-Fi router.
• Your Wi-Fi network password is case-sensitive, make sure you are entering it correctly.
