CONNECT THE CAMERA TO THE MOBILE DEVICE
App Downloading and Installation
Search for Tuya Smart from App Store”/Google Play™, or scan the QR codes below
to download and install the App on your mobile device.
Account Registration and Login
Please register an account with a valid email address, then log in to your Tuya Smart account.
- Open the Tuya Smart App, and enter your email to start registering.
- Enter the verification code received in the email.
- Set the password and Log in.
Tip:
- You can also use WeChat, Facebook, line, or the temporary visit to log in to the app.
- Temporary access will not be able to receive information from the device.
Connect the Camera to Tuya Account
Importance:
- This camera only supports 2.4GHz Wifi networks.
- For a stable network connection, please make sure the camera and the mobile device are close to the router.
- Avoid using special characters or symbols in your Wifi name and password, such as@!#$&* and so on.
- Please turn on the location service and Wifi on your mobile device, then allow Tuya Smart App to access your location and use Wifi.
- For all connecting options, you will hear the prompt sound after the camera is powered on. Press and hold the Reset button for 6-Bs to reset the camera if no voice prompts heard. If you hear a beep sound and the camera starts to rotate, it means reset successfully.
Use card pins or toothpicks to long-pres the reset button for 8s
Connect the camera by scanning the QR code
Power on the camera, wait until you hear a prompt sound and the Camera stops
turning, Then wait about 30 seconds to configure. Make sure your phone is
connected to
Wi-Fi before connecting the camera.
- Tap in the center or upper right corner.
- Select Security & Video Surveillance> Smart Camera (Wi-FI).
- Tap Next.
- Connect to your router’s Wifi and tap Next.
- The QR code will appear. Align the QR code with the camera lens and keep a distance of 4-8 inches, until you hear the prompt sound. Then tap • I heard a prompt” in the page.
Tip:
If the scan fails, please reset the camera. Reset method: use the reset pin
to long-press the reset button for 8 seconds until you hear a beep.
Connect the camera by AP hotspot
Power on the camera, wait until you hear the prompt sound and the camera
starts to rotate. Then wait about 30 seconds to configure.
Please do the following steps before connecting:

Long press reset to restore the default. long-press the reset button for 8s then release, you will hear the prompt sound and the camera starts to rotate.

Wait for 30s to configure, until the camera stops turning.

Press the camera reset button 2 times to enter the AP mode and you will hear the voice prompt.
Use pins or toothpicks
long-press the reset button for 8s, then press 2 times quickly -
Select Security & Video Surveillance > Smart Camera (Wi-FI) tap “Wi-Fi Mode”, then tap Next step.

Select “AP Mode”.

Tap Go to Connect.

select the wireless hotspot of the device. (name:Smartlife-XXXX; or other name: SL_XXXX), After the hotspot connection is completed, return to the Tuya app to automatically connect.
FUNCTION OVERVIEW
Home Page
After the camera is connected to Tuya app successfully, it will be listed on
the home page.

Tap the thumbnail on the home page to watch the live video.

Storage options
Two options are available for the camera.
- By a memory card
- Advice use C10 (32-128G)
- Please reset the camera If no video recording.
- Videos just played on the app.
- By cloud
Go to Home Page, or Cloud Service to subscribe to a cloud plan according to your needs.
Video Playback
Tap Playback on the Live Video to watch the recorded videos in the cloud/
memory card.
- View the video in landscape.
- Tap to start recording video, and tap again to end recording.
- Tap to capture the current page.
- Turn on/off the audio of the recorded video.
- Timeline. Slide leftward or rightward on the timeline to play the video.
- Tap to open the calendar, you can select a video specific to a certain day.
Record Settings
Install a memory card(up to 128G), then go to Live Video > Setting > Record
Settings.
Light Mode
Select Live Video > Night Mode or Live video > Light in the live video
interface to control the night mode.
Infrared Vision:
Select Live Video > Features > Night Mode.
- Auto: The video will be colorful by day and black & white at night. The IR LEDs will automatically turn on in the darkness.
- On: The IR LEDS are on all day, no matter day or night, the video is black and white.
Full-color night vision:
Select Live Video > Features > Light
- Switch: The floodlight will turn on all the time, and the video will be colorful day and night.
Alarms and Notifications
Please enter Tuya and open the following options.
- Message Center
- Setting
- Alarm Setting
- The camera will record videos to the cloud or memory card only when motion/human outlines are detected if you subscribe to a cloud plan of Alarm Recording or select alarm recording for your memory card.
- Apart from recording videos, the camera can also give out alarm sounds and send push notifications when motion/ human outlines are detected.
Device Sharing
Notes:
- Please make sure your family members have registered a Tuya Smart account before sharing. If sharing fails, please reinstall the app.
- You can share the camera with as many accounts as possible. However, we recommend 3 accounts at most for a better experience.
- Step 1: Go to Live Video > Setting > Share Device.
- Step 2: Tap Add Sharing.
- Step 3: Enter the Tuya Smart Account you want to share.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Q1. Why did I fail to connect the camera to my phone?
- The camera only supports 2.4GHz WiFi make sure you’ve selected the correct one. If you are using a dual-band router, please contact the router seller or us for further support.
- Avoid using special characters or symbols in your WiFi name and password, such as @~#$%&*, and so on. If the connection failed, please reset the camera and try again.
Q2. Why can’t the camera recognize the TF card?
- The camera does not support hot plugging. Please insert the TF card before powering on the camera, or reboot the camera after inserting the card.
- Please use a high-quality TF card from a reliable brand.
- Please make sure the TF card is installed properly.
Q3. Why can’t I get an app alarm notification?
- Please make sure you have turned on the motion detection alert switch.
- Please make sure your phone system permissions allow our apps to perform message push.
- Make sure you enabled the “Notification setting” > “Enable Notification”.
Q4. How does the camera store video?
The camera supports EXFAT, FAT32 format, Class6, and Class10 TF cards and
supports up to 128G. When the TF card is full, it auto-deletes the earlier
video and recycles the video.
