YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE SETUP:

  1. Make sure you are using 2.4GHz wireless network, not 5GHz.
  2. Make sure the BLUE LED light is blinking slowly when power on. if not, please reset the camera.
  3. Make sure your camera and Wi-Fi router are not far away.
  4. Make sure your phone is close to the camera when configuring.
  5. Make sure your Wi-Fi SSID do not contain any special characters.
  6. Make sure your camera is charged up to full for the first time use.

Charging the battery

This unit has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. When using the unit for the first time, please charge it 4 hours:
Open the device, make the USB power cable connected with charger seat and insert the charger into the electrical outlet. The YELLOW led indicator will be on, goes out until fully charged.

Format Memory Card

Camera can work without Memory card. There are two ways to format the memory card: 1) Format the card on computer. for MacOS, please format as: MS-DOS FAT or FAT32; for Windows, 32G or below: please format as FAT32;
64G or above: please format as ExFAT. 2) Insert TF card into memory card slot. Go to app to format.

Preparation

This device can support remote viewing on both iOS and Android.

  1. iOS: Login to the Apple “App Store” and search for “O-KAM”.
  2. Android: Login to Google “Play Store” and search for “O-KAM”.
  3. You may also scan the QR code below that corresponds to your mobile operating system to download and install app.

Please log in to your O-KAM account, if you have not an account, please follow the app guide to create a new account of your own.
Warm Tips: We do not disclose your account information, it will only be used to log in O-KAM and manage your camera.

Reset

When the device is powered on, press and hold the R button for 5 seconds until the blue and red light flash alternately, then release your finger. Wait for the device reset automatically and return to the initial state. When the red light is off and the blue light flashes slowly, the reset is successful.

Start using the device Wi-Fi Configuration

Step 1: Turn on the camera
Please turn “on/off” button to “ON” and wait for the camera to startup. After Startup is complete, Blue light is flashing slowly.
At this time, the camera is waiting for wifi connection.
If the blue light does not flash slowly, please reset camera.

Step 2: Connect phone to Wi-Fi router
Open WLAN settings from your phone and connect your phone to the router you want to use.
Warm tips: If you have a 5G router, but you don’t want to turn off the 5G signal, you can turn on the 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi signals together (consult your router provider).
Place the camera and smartphone within range of the router’s signal to ensure a strong Wi-Fi signal.
If the Wi-Fi signal is weak, you can add a Wi-Fi repeater.

Step 3: Open the App, Select “+Add”

Step 4: Scan QR Code attached on the camera or Directly Select “WiFi Camera”

Step 5: Make sure the blue light is flashing slowly. Please read the tips carefully, confirm the prompt checkbox and click Next.

Step 6: Enter the home owner’s Wi-Fi name and password.
(Check the password carefully, otherwise connect will be fail).

Step 7: QR Code Configuration: Place the QR code about 10cm away from the camera lens, keep the camera facing the QR code. after about 5 seconds, you can release it when pop up Binding Device dialog. The blue light is always on, the connect is successful.

Done! Now you have successfully configured the wifi settings for your cameras.
You can monitor your home from anywhere, anytime.
Warm tips :
If there are inconsistent steps in the process of connecting to wifi, please RESET and follow the steps again.

FAQ

The first time use it, the device cannot be connected. Why?****

A: When adding the camera for the first time, make sure the camera is Powered ON and the BLUE indicator light is flashes slowly.

  1. Only support 2.4Ghz internet Wi-Fi network, no 5G network.
    If you have a 5G router, please turn on the 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi signals together and connect camera to 2.4G Wi-Fi signal.
  2. Make sure the Router Wi-Fi SSID and password are correct.
    Wi-Fi passwords should not contain special characters, such as ‘\’.
  3. Put the camera near the router, and your phone to camera within 10cm4) If the QR code network configuration is unsuccessful. try to use AP network configuration. After connecting to the WiFi hotspot sent by the camera and returning to the APP, the phone can automatically added.

Why the motion detection function does not work?****

A: First, activate the Client notification in the ‘Notification Settings’ menu of ‘System Settings’; Then turn on the ‘Motion Detection’ switch in the ‘Monitoring Function’ menu item.

Is the cloud storage service for cameras charged, and how?****

A: Cloud storage only keeps free storage for 3 days.
Please open the APP’s cloud storage store and choose monthly, semi annual, annual and other service packages to purchase.

How do I adjust the camera for continuous recording?****

A: The device has three power modes: Sleep mode /Continuous working mode /Deep sleep mode. Use ‘Continuous working mode’ if you have an external power supply or temporarily need a long time to record.

Camera can standby for 6 months, but I only use about 20 days, why?****

A: In low-power (PIR) mode, the actual standby time is related to the number of times the device is woken up. The more wake-up times, the shorter standby time will be.

During the process of connecting to Wi-Fi, all the lights are turned off. What should I do?****

A: The device is out of power, please charge it.

Why does it take so long every time enter a live video?****

A: This is a low-power camera, the default setting is to sleep immediately.
It will takes a few seconds to wake up the camera from sleep.
If you don’t need this, you can modify the ‘Power mode’ in the app.
