Valve Cover Set Honda Gold Wing

Goldstrike™ valve cover set
Parts Included:
1 LEFT VALVE COVER
1 RIGHT VALVE COVER
1 INSTALLATION KIT

Installation Instructions:

Park on a level surface and shut oﬀ the motorcycle. Lift the motorcycle onto its center stand if available.
ATTENTION: Ensure the engine has time to cool completely before installation.
Remove the cover at the front of the cylinder head. Remove the screw from the rear cylinder head cover.
Set aside for re-installation. FIG.1
Test ﬁt the Goldstrike Valve Covers. Identify the appropriate part for the side of the motorcycle you are working on. The right side cover is about 1/2 inch shorter than the left.
The Goldstrike Valve Cover has tabs on the ends that ﬁt under the front and rear cylinder head covers from step 2.
Clean the surface of the engine valve cover with hot water and soap. FIG.2
ATTENTION: Thoroughly clean the mounting surface with denatured alcohol to remove all wax, oil, and residue.
NOTE: New motorcycles are delivered from the factory covered in protective oil. Remove it before installing this product.
NOTE: Do not install if the temperature is below 50° F. The adhesive will not cure properly.
After the valve cover is clean and completely dry, adhere three pieces of 3M Dual Lock to the areas shown in FIG.2.
Install the Goldstrike Valve Cover. Press ﬁrmly into place. FIG.3
Reinstall the front cylinder head cover and the screw from the rear cylinder head cover.
Repeat steps 2-7 on the other side of the motorcycle.
ATTENTION: The 3M Dual Lock adhesive takes 12 hours to completely cure. Do not attempt to remove the Goldstrike Valve Covers during this time.
NOTE: You can run the engine and ride the motorcycle immediately after installation.
NOTE: If you also have Goldstrike P/N 40055 LED Engine Lighting Panels, the Light Panels ﬁt on top of the Valve Covers. FIG.4
