Explorer Pro Pan Tilt Head for Camera Jib Crane
The Proaim Explorer Pro Pan Tilt Head is designed to be a precise and easy-to- use companion for your camera jib crane. It comes with a controller box, universal 12V AC adapter, cables, and various bolts and tools for assembly. The kit also includes knobs, washers, and an O-ring for secure attachment.
Setup Instructions
To set up the Explorer Pro Pan Tilt Head, start by inspecting the contents of the package to ensure you have everything. Use the included assembly manual to guide you through the assembly process. Once assembled, connect the controller box to a 12V battery or use the included AC adapter to power it.
Controller Box Connections
Connect the controller box to the pan tilt head using the cables provided. Any 12-volt battery can operate this pan tilt head as long as the connector and the #1 negative pin & #4 positive pin of Cable meet together.
Pan Tilt Setup
Attach your camera to the pan tilt head using the camera bolts provided. Adjust the camera angle upside down to capture graceful bird’s eye view shots at ease. The pan tilt head has a speed controller that adjusts the speed of pan & tilt based on the requirement of the shot. The damping control prevents the head from stopping with a jerk, enabling you to achieve smooth endings. You can reverse the panning & tilting direction as & when required.
Balancing Tips
Detach the motor gear before balancing your camera on the head, otherwise, the motor will not function properly. Balancing your camera on the head is essential for smooth operation.
Warranty and Liability
The Proaim Explorer Pro Pan Tilt Head comes with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. Within this period, we will repair it without charge for labor or parts. Warranty doesn’t cover transportation costs nor does it cover a product subjected to misuse or accidental damage. Any repairs are subject to inspection and evaluation by us. We are not liable for damage caused by products that we do not supply or from mishandling in transit, accident, misuse, neglect, lack of care of the product, or service by anyone other than us.

Explorer Pro Pan Tilt Head Setup
NOTE: Proaim Explorer Pan-Tilt head is precisely engineered, easy to operate & a silent companion for accurate panning & tilting motions.
- Loosen the Pan Tilt Head’s Knob on both sides and increase its height.
- Tighten both the knobs properly, as shown in the image.
Connections of Controller Box

Connect the male end of the cable to the female end of the Pan Tilt.

Connect the female end of the cable to the controller box.
NOTE: Any 12 volt battery may operate this Pan Tilt Head as long as the Connector and the #1 Negative pin & #4 Positive pin of Cable meet together. -
Attach the power cable with the AC adapter.

Attach the second end of the power cable to the universal adapter.

Insert the 12-volt AC adapter (4 pin XLR) to the controller box.
NOTE: If the Joystick Control is opposite, undo the connectors of motors, rotate 180° and reinstall. -
Switch the controller box ON, as shown in the image.

Increase or decrease the Pan speed according to your requirement and set the damping.

To change the direction of the Pan, move the joystick left-right, and to change the direction of the tilt, move the joystick up-down.
NOTE: Joystick remote controller provides a great range of pan and tilt speed control with an excellent rotation for a complete revolution in any axis.
NOTE: Speed Controller -The Speed Controller adjusts the speed of pan & tilt based on the requirement of the shot.
Damping Control – Damping control prevents the Head from stopping with a jerk enabling you to achieve smooth endings.
Pan-Tilt Direction – You can reverse the panning & tilting direction as & when required.
NOTE: This 2-Axis pan-tilt head facilitates effortless continuous 360° rotation on both horizontal and vertical axis that gives the operator full freedom to capture any desired angle.
Pan Tilt Setup
- Properly slide the Pan Tilt into the jib as shown in the image.
- Set the direction of the Pan Tilt (Upward/Downward) according to your requirement.
- Insert both the knobs and tighten them properly. Repeat the same process to insert the knobs on backside.
Camera Mounting Setup
- Insert the bolt and mount the camera (Not Included) properly.
NOTE: Adjusting the Camera Angle upside down you capture graceful bird’s eye view shots at ease & it is Suitable for surroundings such as sports events, small and large studios, churches, parliaments, etc.
Balancing Tips

Before balancing the camera, Detach the motor gear assembly from the head.
NOTE: You can only balance the camera on the head after detaching the motor gear; otherwise, the motor will not function properly. -
Then mount your camera on the explorer head’s camera plate.

Horizontally balance your camera by placing the camera in the center of the camera plate.

Horizontally balance your camera by placing the camera in the center of the camera plate.

After that, vertically balance your camera by loosening the side knob and increasing it to the desired height, then tighten the knob properly.

The camera is now balanced both vertically and horizontally.

Now, reattach the motor gear to the head.
NOTE: Make sure that the camera is balanced in all directions depending on its weight so that the motor can function properly when attached.
