packaging for future reference.
For your child’s safety and health
WARNING!
- Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids will cause tooth decay.
- Always check food temperature before feeding.
- Throw away the first signs of damage or weakness.
- Keep components not in use out of the reach of children.
- Never attach to cords, ribbons, laces, or loose parts of clothing. The child can be strangled.
- Always use this product with adult supervision.
It is not recommended to use a microwave to warm up baby food or drinks.
Microwaves may destroy valuable nutrients in food/drinks and may produce
localized high temperatures. If you decide to use the microwave, take extra
care to stir heated food/drinks to ensure even heat distribution and check the
temperature before serving. Only place the container in the microwave, without
other parts. Do not allow children to play with small parts or walk/run while
using bottles or cups. Thick, fizzy, pulpy drinks or formula milk may block
the valve and cause it to break or leak. To prevent scalding, allow hot
liquids to cool down before you fill the cup. Do not interchange the straw cup
parts with a glass bottle.
Before first use
- Remove the disposable straw cover from the straw before you use the bottle for the first time and throw it away. The disposable straw cover is packaging material and is only intended to ensure hygiene during transport.
- Disassemble all parts (Fig. 1A), clean, and then sterilize the parts by placing them in boiling water for 5 minutes or sterilize by using a Philips Avent sterilizer. This is to ensure hygiene.
Assembly
Make sure that the straw cup parts are properly assembled (Fig. 1B). Close the
screw top tightly by turning it clockwise. Otherwise, it may come off during
use. Do not overtighten the lid on the straw cup.
To drink from the straw cup, open the lid by flipping the cap to the back.
Cleaning and storage
Clean all parts before each use to ensure hygiene. After each use, disassemble
all parts, wash in warm, soapy water, remove any food residues and rinse
thoroughly. If necessary, clean the straw with a straw cleaning brush. Then
sterilize using a Philips Avent sterilizer or boil for 5 minutes. Make sure
that you wash your hands thoroughly and that the surfaces are clean before
contact with sterilized components. During sterilization with boiling water,
prevent the parts from touching the side of the pot. This can cause
irreversible product deformation, defect or damage that Philips cannot be held
liable for. Food coloring can discolor parts. This product is dishwasher safe.
Do not place the product in a heated oven.
Do not bring the cup parts in contact with or place them on surfaces with
abrasive or antibacterial cleaning agents. Cups are suitable for all common
sterilization methods. For safety and hygiene reasons, replace straws after 3
months of use. Use only Philips Avent straws. For hygiene and maintenance,
disassemble the straw cup completely (Fig. 1A) and store it in a dry and
covered container. Keep the straw cup away from heat sources and direct
sunlight. Do not store the straw cup in drying/sterilizing cabinets with
heating elements.
