IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, induding the following:
- Read all instrudions before using this Electric Throw Blanket
- Remove any packaging material before using the Electric Throw Blanket for the first time. Safely dispose of all plastic bags and other packaging material that may be potentially dangerous to children.
- Ensure that you know how the Electric Throw Blanket operates and functions.
- Maintain the Electric Throw Blanket in accordance with the instruction manual to ensure that it operates properly.
- If the Electric Throw Blanket is to be used by a third party, please ensure the instruction manual is supplied with it.
- No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non-compliance with these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.
- Do not use this Electric Throw Blanket if it is wet, moist, or has suffered water splashes.
- Do not use this Electric Throw Blanket if it is damaged in any way, or, if the supply cord or plug is damaged.
- If any damage is found during warranty period, return it immediately to the railer.
- The unit should be examined frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs or if the unit has been misused, do not use the blanket.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified electrical person in order to avoid a hazard, or the product must be disposed.
- Electric throw Blanket shall not be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system
- The flexible supply cord and controller, as far as practicable, must be kept outside of the covers. Do not cover the controller.
- Electric Throws Blankets must not be used on animals and pets.
- Use the Electric Throw Blanket only with the controller provided.
- Electric Throw Blanket and its controller are only to be used with item marked with model TK160X120-15 only.
- Use as an overblanket only.
- Do not use the Electric Throw Blanket folded creased or rucked.
- Do not use with wires tucked in.
- Do not insert pins or sharp objects into the Electric Throw Blanket.
- Do not use this Electric Throw Blanket on an infant or child under the age of 3, or any other person (induding children) insensitive to heat and other vulnerable persons who are unable to react to overheating, or, reduced sensory, physical, mental capabilities, or any person suffering from medical illness such as high skin sensitivity, high blood circulation, or diabetes.
- Do not use this Electric Throw Blanket continuously at a high heat setting to avoid skin bums.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction by a person responsible for their safety.
- This Electric Throw Blanket is not to be used by young children (3+) unless the controls have been preset by a parent or guardian, or unless the child has been adequately instructed on how to operate the controls safely.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Connect only to a 220-240V 50filz power socket outlet.
- For additional protection, it is strongly recommend that the use of a residual current device (RCD)/safety switch with a tripping current not exceeding 30mA be used on the circuit supplying this product.
- Do not use Electric Throw Blanket with an extension cord.
- Fully unwind the supply cord when In use to avoid overheating on the coiled cord.
- Unplug from the mains supply when not In use.
- Read all instructions carefully before using the Electric Throw Blanket.
- Keep control unit away from an open window.
- Do not use outdoor.
- This Electric Throw Blanket must be kept in fully spread condition at all times during use to avoid overheating.
- Position the Electric Throw Blanket so that it is not beneath pillows and/or bolsters.
- Do NOT attempt to repair the Electric Throw blanket. Thee are no customer serviceable parts Inside. Return it Immediately to Kmart if it is faulty In any way during the warranty period.
- When storing, allow the blanket to cool before folding. Fold gently but do not crease the Electric Throw Blanket. To prevent creasing do not place any other items on top of the blanket during storage.
- Not Intended for medical use In hospitals/nursing homes.
- Never immerse the cord and controller In any liquids.
- The detachable controller supplied must be used only when connected to the Electric Throw Blanket. To avoid possible electric shock or fire, the controller must not be used and/or connected to any other appliance or device.
- Avoid pressing creases into the Electric Throw Blanket
- Do not wash the Electric Throw Blanket Clean the Throw Blanket In accordance with the instructions provided under the heading ‘Care & Maintenance’ in this manual.

OPERATION & CONTROLS
The settings are:
0…… OFF
1…… ON
Timer
Set desired operating time from “1” hour to “9” hours, “H” setting is for 12
hour timer.
Temperature Button
Set desired temperature setting from “1” to” 9″, setting 0 is the OFF position
and has no heating function.
For continuous use, temperature can be set to “9” for the 1st hour, and after
the 1st hour, temperature setting between “1-4” should be selected. The timer
and temperature settings will loop when pressing the relevant function button.
OPERATION
- Plug in supply plug to suitable power outlet and switch ON.
- Power ON the Electric Throw Blanket by sliding the power switch button to “1”
- Press the “Temp” button for the desired temperature setting. It starts from 0 -9. Setting 1 is the lowest heat setting and 9 is the highest heat setting. Setling”0″ is the OFF position and has no heating function.
- Press the “Timer” button to select the desired operating hours, the numbers 1-9 are shown in hours and H represent 12 hours. The blanket will operate until the selected time runs out.
- After the selected time cycle is expired Side the Power Switch back to “0” first in order to reset/restart the Electric Throw Blanket.
- The blanket can be switched OFF at any time by sliding the Power Switch button to 0.
- After use, ensure to switch the blanket OFF by sliding the power switch to “0” Position (OFF) and then disconnect the supply cord from mains power socket
- The electronic control unit can be disconnected from the Electric Throw Blanket by slightly lifting up the locking flap and pulling it outwards. Always pull holding the connectors and not from the supply cord.

IMPORTANT!
Before connecting to mains power, switch the power switch to the OFF position
“0”, and ensure the electronic controller Is correctly attached and secured to
the connector on the blanket with the locking flap on the connector.
You may notice a slight odour when using the Electric Throw Blanket for the
first time, which Is normal.
Always remember to disconnect from mains power when not In use. There may be a
risk of fire.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, ensure the control is set to the “0” Position (OFF) and disconnect the cord plug from the mains power socket. Detach the electronic controller from the throw blanket before cleaning.

Spot Cleaning:
Sponge the affected area using a lukewarm neutral detergent or mild soapy
solution. Follow this with sponging using a clean water solution. Remove any
excess water by compressing the wet area between absorbent towels.
Drying:
DO NOT use pegs to secure the blanket in position.
DO NOT dry with a hair dryer or heater or any electrical device.
DO NOT dry by hanging the blanket.
DO NOT tumble dry.
DO NOT iron
DO NOT spin-dry
DO NOT dry with spin-drier or drier, or any similar machine.
DO NOT wring
Lay flat in shade to dry.
During drying the cord must be position to ensure that water does not flow
into the switch or control.
STORAGE
- When not in use, keep the electric throw together with its controller in a cool dry place.
- When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before folding.
- Fold gently to avoid creasing on the Electric Throw Blanket
- Do not cease the Electric Throw Blanket by placing items on the top of it during storage.
Remember to keep this manual together with the appliance for future reference.
