CAUTION
Not all plant material is edible. Though most plants are harmless, some
contain toxic substances which can cause headaches, nausea, dizziness or other
discomforts. As a general rule, only known food products should be eaten. In
case of ingestion, please contact your local poison control center at once and
advise them of the plant ingested.

Planting Instructions
This product was shipped to you at the proper planting time for your area.
However, sometimes Mother Nature will bring in an unexpected cold front. Ideal
planting conditions are when the average high temperature is around 60°F and
the low temperature does not drop down below 40°F.
For optimum results, plant as follows:
- Spade or rototiller the soil 12″ deep, and create holes 6–8″ deep and 12–18″ apart.
- Place a bulb in each hole. Avoid breaking off any stalks or growth that may be on the bulbs.
- Refill the holes and firm the soil gently with your hands. (It’s always good to add organic matter to you soil. You can mix in dehydrated manure, garden compost, shredded leaves and/or peat moss.)
- Water plants in lightly after planting. Apply a 2–4″ layer of mulch to promote moisture retention and maintain even garden soil temperatures.
Continuing Care
Winterizing| Lilies generally do not need a lot of water. As they are growing,
give them water as needed. Do not over saturate the soil.
---|---
Feeding| Apply a 2–4″ layer of mulch to promote moisture retention and
maintain even garden soil temperatures.
Grooming| Keep the area around your plants free of weeds. Weeds compete with
all plants for food, water and light. Walk around the garden periodically and
pull weeds.
Weeding| After flowering, remove only the blooms, not the stems or the leaves.
Mulching| Discontinue any fertilizers by early September to prepare your
plants for winter dormancy.
Watering| The stalk can be cut back carefully to the ground in the fall and
all foliage removed. Apply a 2–4″ layer of mulch to the area where the lilies
are planted.
