Tools Required
- ½” Drive Ratchet
- 3/8” Drive Ratchet
- 18mm Deep Socket
- 19mm Socket
- 19mm Wrench
- 13mm Socket
- 10mm Socket
- 18mm Wrench
- 16mm Socket
- 15/16” Socket
Factory Bumper Removal:
- Open hood and disconnect the negative terminal from the battery using 10mm socket.
- If equipped, disconnect the negative terminal from the auxiliary battery.
- If applicable, disconnect the factory wiring harness.
- Using 15/16” socket remove two bolts from tow hooks and remove from frame.
- Using 18mm wrench and socket, remove the two factory bumper bolts that hold the factory bumper to the frame rail from each side and remove bumper
Brush Guard Installation
- Using 13mm and 18mm socket, install top two brackets to bumper. (reference picture 1)
- Reinstall bumper onto vehicle.
- Install lower brackets and reinstall the factory tow loops back into frame using the factory bolt in the rear and the provided bolt in the front. (reference picture 2)
- Install lower support bracket using the lower bumper mounting bolt and the provided bolt to brackets. (picture 3)
- Reinstall top bumper bolts.
- Install brush guard to truck using the brackets that are protruding from the front of the factory bumper. (picture 4)
- Align brush guard and tighten all bolts
If tow loops are not equipped on your model, trim the plastic around the two
locations where the tow loops would be.
